I hope someone tips Coach off about this series and they approach you to collab with them. At the least, I think you would make a fabulous official Coach curator. ❤️
I love Coach! They pay attention to quality materials and craftsmanship! I get more compliments on my Coach bags than any other bag I carry! Thanks so much for doing the work and sharing with us!!🎉👜🎉
I’m going to love this series!! Your enthusiasm is contagious! Thursday’s will be Coach Education Thursdays! Always appreciate your hard work!
I don't ever tire of learning Coach History; it is really what I love the most about collecting handbags. I LOVE that you are making this Series, extremely interesting!!! Thanks Autumn,, I can really listen to you forever, you are wonderful!!
Hi Autumn. I think Jack Georges had an affiliation with Coach at some point. It was after Bonnie Cashin. He went on to design his own line. And if you look at the stuff he did, It bears a very strong resemblance to Coach. Look at the Willis bag.
Thank you for this!
Oh I’m so excited for this !! Coach Thursdays wooohoooo !!! I can’t wait for this series Thank you Autumn I will be in class 😅😂 love the green on you !!
Great idea for the series of presentations on Coach. I appreciate that you did research and invested time and energy to bring this info to your viewers. Kudos😊
Oh my goodness, your cute collection behind you!! Little Rexy is so cute back there❤
This video has me wanting to dig out my collection of COACH print ads from the mid-90s (magazine tear sheets) 👜 TFS Autumn ✨
I really like Coach bags. I would have a lot more of them but here in Australia they cost too much compared to the US, even factoring in the currency difference, I feel. I relate to your issue with the re-use of names. The Australian brand Oroton is notorious for re-using names and I find it so irritating! Thank you for the video!
very informative!❤
There's the teaching Autumn. LOVE IT!!!!!
Yes, indeed!
That was an excellent video! ❤. Coach has so many unique to the brand features and I don’t think many people stop to think about them. No name designer made some fabulous bags! I wish we could learn more!
Love to hear you give history on COACH………
I love COACH! Thank you for doing this series.
COACH IS WHAT YOU DO THE BEST…..LOVE IT
Autumn, thank you for doing this series. I am a big fan of Coach Bags. Just love them.. ❤
Glad you're looking forward to my Coach series. ;)
Autumn!! I am so excited to learn from all of your research. This video was excellent and I am so excited that you're doing a series on Coach. Thank you!
I am going to love this series! I bought Coach from about 1988 to 1995 so I'm squarely in the mystery designer era. Hopefully you will discover who that was! At that time they advertised that you could send your bag back to Coach for life for free to have it refurbished. I took advantage of that service for a bag I wore every day for years. I also remember most of the executives in the company I worked for carrying Coach briefcases which were a status symbol and exorbitantly expensive. If I remember correctly they were over $600 in 1988. To put it into perspective, a one nice bedroom apartment in the DC area rented for between 300 and 450 at that time. Looking forward to more Coach videos!
I remember a Coach associate telling me about that lifetime "spa" treatment sometime in the 2000s. I don't think they offer it anymore, though.
Coach is an amazing brand and I'm glad to see you do this series! This was very interesting, looking forward to future videos.
For the last two years I’ve been looking for content that can give us this kind of information per history about Coach. I cannot wait for comprehensive information based on your research! These are the kind of things that make me wanna say “this is gonna be a good year”.
As a geographer I am loving how Coach uses streets and landmarks from NYC to label their bags. So many things about Coach feed the nerd in me.
That's great to hear! I'm glad you're looking forward to the series.
Wonderful video on Coach. Thank you for your research Autumn!👜💖
Can't wait for the series! Love Coach!♥
This was wonderful! You are a wonderful teacher, Autumn! I absolutely loved learning the history of the company. I am in Canada and my dad was born in New York. Next time I return to new York to visit my relatives I’d love to see if the original store is still there or if that building still exists? My dad sold handbags retail in Canada growing up. He spoke highly of Coach. I do have some of their bags. Thank you and I’m SO looking forward to our next “Coach history lesson” XO
Thank you so much. :)
Thank you for researching and providing a great history summary about Coach. I love Coach and I look forward to learning more on this series!
Omg, so wonderful! Great Job Autumn! I have bought the brand for many years and never knew most of this info. Coach will be on to you!!
Autumn I look forward to the series! Great information for the older(like me) and the newer collector.
Fantastic video, Autumn! Your deep dive into Coach's unique features really opened my eyes. Many of us may not realize these details, and your work brings to light the incredible designs by those unnamed designers. I'm eager to learn more about them. Thank you for your hard work and for sharing such insightful content!
Thank you so much. I really appreciate that. :)
Love, Love, Love this! Can't wait for more!
This was awesome
This video was so interesting. I'm looking forward to hearing more about Coach. It's my favorite brand.
Great ideas for a series 👏 😊💚💚!
🦞 lobster claw clasps, like on the Pocket Purse. They also have a range of colours which are quite iconic to Coach
That's true. I didn't think about the colors as distinctively Coach.
Hi Autumn! You have rekindled my love for Coach! I do have several bags, mainly totes, but im recently retired and find myself gravitating to a smaller bag. So many good ones to choose from! 😅
Looking forward to this series! New subscriber here!
I love the canal street Cashin tote.
I am loving this series
😱😮😱I remember Pearl Paints, I also use to buy art supplies form there. I love this Autumn. Thank you for the walk through history, please continue. I always wanted to know where the cherrys 🍒come in🤔😎
I haven't researched this yet but I suspect Coach adopted them after the popularity of the Louis Vuitton cherries pieces.
This is great!! Enjoying learning all of this! Its fun! Looking forward to the video series!
Excellent video. Love Coach.
Lots of great information in this video you did great thank you for the history lesson much appreciated 👛🛍️🦆🙏🚢
So excited for the series!! Loved this video 🎉
Great video! Can't wait for all the videos to follow.
I LOVE this news! Waiting for every Thursday…
Hmmm, nice video. I don't think referencing history is unique to Coach though. LV, Chanel, Prada & Hermes come immediately to mind as they have also done this on many occasions.
That's true. I could have been more clear about this...it's not unique to Coach but it is one of the many things that defines them.
Fabulous content, Autumn!!
I’m loving the series!
Love this series! Can’t wait to watch.
So excited about this series!
Love this video and look forward to series!!❤
Great video from a long time Coach lover.
So interesting! I wasn't ready for the video to end!
Hey there, Autumn! I was never interested in Coach until I started hearing about their history and how collectible their handbags are and their incredible quality. I’m looking forward to getting a Coach handbag. When did Coach start offering the opportunity for customers to get their handbags painted? Was it during the time they started the sustainability line? Were they first? I am enjoying learning about them especially starting with your informative last video. Thanks for sharing.
Great question. I made a note to do a video on this. I'll have to research but to my recollection that's a recent thing. Louis Vuitton has been doing it for a while on hard sides pieces like trunks and jewelry boxes but never on bags. Third parties have been painting bags longer than that. I would guess Coach got the idea from that and LV. To my knowledge, there are 2 ways to get a Coach bag painted that are "Coach official." One is having it painted in store when there's a visiting artist present (which is how LV does it, too). Eva of Fuchsia Flloyd has had this done. The second is from Coach (Re)Loved on the Coach website where some of the upcrafted bags are painted. I was contemplating getting this one (which has since sold) go.magik.ly/ml/22dez/ but I know I can do better (I often find the Coach upcrafted workmanship a bit sloppy) so now I'm planning to paint something on a Coach bag myself but I need to figure out which bag.
Amazing video!!!! Can it wait to hear as much as I can So so interesting.
Really enjoying your videos, looking forward to your Coach deep dive! Hoping you cover the 2012 Legacy Line, the Scribble Collection and the Poppy Collection for their vibrant colors
Definitely Legacy, I want to do Poppy but have had some trouble finding info on it (but haven't tried really hard yet), hadn't thought about the Scribble line but I certainly could. Thanks!
Great video Autumn - looking forward to this series. How you remember all of this and keep the video engaging is a true talent!! Do you have a teleprompter? Haha x
Thank you, Connor. I have my laptop propped up in front of me with an outline of my notes. ;)
Have always loved Coach! Have a vintage Coach bag my hubby bought new for me in 1987 and it still looks great!!
Great video Autumn!! I loved it❤
Yay! Love the topic.
Yay! 🎉 I love this❤
Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)
Could you do a video with mini tanner. I've been collecting those pieces from early 2000s but I don't know the history behind it. Thanks in advance
Autumn, thank you for the review! I used to love Coach, but the bag size does not work for me, it is either too small or too big. I don't understand Cashin tote, I fid handles terrible uncomfortable. I do love Dinky, rogues in smaller and medium size, I don't think I bought anything in the last 2 years. it is way too small or heavy if it is slightly bigger. I hope they will start doing wallet and cell phone friendly sizes.
I thought the same thing about those thin Cashin handles but they're surprisingly comfortable.
Stuart Vevers is their Creative Director. Is this the same as a designer?
I would assume he's the head designer, yes. I'm sure they have a whole design team.
I tried to find your sources, but couldn’t locate them. I am cognitively disabled so I might have missed something obvious
You are correct that they are not there. I had trouble with the upload process and didn't get them in. I'll let you know when they're posted.
as Person love coach why buy LV even though I love LV when get same style at coach just like when RUclipsrs will not buy coach over LV
