    Been watching you for a couple of years now Adam. The progress to this point was always going to happen andn you have plenty more to come yet. Beautiful running action and I think you 100% have a sub 3.30 1500m in you.

    The biggest compliment I can give is that nobody is hugely surprised. This has been a long time coming for you, and always been on the radar. You ran so well tactically, the move to make the back of the front pack was proper ballsy and showed a level of strength even some huge names like Teare just couldn’t handle.
    Bring on the FogDog/TDP showdown

    You guys should go for the 4x 1 mile record at Penn relays. 15:49 seems very achievable.

    • @christopherhamill525
      @christopherhamill525 7 месяцев назад +8

      That’s what everyone thinks but the lack of competition around makes it pure time trialing at 3:57 for 4 guys. Possible but still damn hard

    • @adam_fogg
      @adam_fogg  6 месяцев назад +1

      That would be a very fun thing to target. Easier said than done to get it to line up perfectly with training/racing schedules depending on what races we all have lined up during the outdoor season. I’d definitely love to have a go one day tho. I think it would be possible on a good day, obviously tough being potentially solo but would be interesting to see how close we could get

    Attaboy, Adam! You had me screaming at my laptop screen on that last 200! That's the best performance I've seen from you, and you weren't that far from winning it! Do you even realise what you just did? Your indoor points score is 1268, which ranks you ABOVE Steve Cram's 3:46.32 outdoor world record of 1249 points. And you also surpassed Peter Elliott's indoor 3:52 of 1990, in which he ran under the world record for the 1500m en route (though it didn't count officially, and he subsequently ran the WR a few days later). Great progress, Adam. Good luck for tomorrow. Show no respect for your opposition. Don't get sucked into a slow, tactical race. If the pace starts to drop, take the lead and burn the rest off so they have no chance of out-sprinting you.

      I hope this doesn’t ruin any of your upcoming vids but I have to say that I’m super stocked that you were selected mate.
      It seems like you and Callum feed off each others energy atm, so you should use that going into worlds.
      Ps just some advice from an old timer, i think your mentality for worlds should be that your the underdog and the result doesn’t matter. Still aim to win obviously, but don’t care about the result.
      Getting selected is a huge step forward this season. There is no weight on your shoulders. Just race and have fun 🤙

    What can I say, Adam? One hell of a run!. Would not have been surprised at 3:52 or 3:51 but this was brilliant. Justified reward for keeping positive amidst various setbacks - Covid, appendix etc. This run will open a lot of doors for you, your career is not going to be the same after this. Whatever the team is doing in training it clearly works!
    Good luck for the remainder of the indoor season. British champs and then the worlds? Distance? 1500 or 3000? you could do some damage at both distances!

    One of the best of your videos all-time. Always fun to hear you break down your thought process and the mental side of the game. Such a good approach you had to what you knew would be a huge opportunity. Really appreciate how much the whole team is progressing and using each other's momentum to build on. So much fun to see you reach a whole new level. Question for you: I could see the logic of falling in behind Teare like you described in your post-race interviews and that obviously worked out well in this case, but now having run the race, would you have a different approach next time and move around him sooner to limit the gap to the leaders? Your fitness seems to indicate that you could easily maintain contact with the group up front. I know every race is different and you have to run it the way it presents itself, but just a hypothetical. Looking forward to watching the races(s) this weekend. Best of luck.

    • @adam_fogg
      @adam_fogg  6 месяцев назад

      Thanks Kevin!! I would have liked to have gone out a bit further up but think in this case it worked out perfectly and I was able to feel good at 800 and work my way up. I did feel extremely good though and would be interested to see how it would have panned out if I was in 4th/5th/6th from the gun and didn’t have to run hard to catch back up. We’ll never know but hopefully one day I’ll get the chance to be in a race like that again and will do my best (if I feel I’m in shape for it) to be in the mix from the start and knock another chunk off
