I used to love Washington Park, and I still think it's a great neighborhood, but over the past 10-15 years so many of the old historic, unique, Victorian, Tudor Revival, and Craftsman houses have been torn down and had generic McMansions built on top of them.
It's stripped a lot of the character and cache out of the neighborhood for me.
It's kinda funny how the Highlands are considered a desirable neighborhood now, I remember 20 years ago that part of town was rife with crime and urban blight, and no one wanted to live there; Sloan's Lake, 5 Points, and Rhino used to be the exact same way as well.

I completely disagree that Cherry Creek should be ranked higher, We all have opinions but the traffic the parking situation and The general vibe of the place are not welcoming. It's fun that you went over the list and added your opinions.

I've lived in Cole for about 7 years, I can't believe it's so far down. It is one of the best!

It is highly underrated. Great proximity to both City Park and RiNo, and a lot of historic houses.

I can’t believe Green Valley Ranch makes the list but Virginia Village doesn’t. Virginia Village is never even on the radar even though it’s within walking distance from Cherry Creek (along the bike path). We barely made the list back in 2017 but then fell off somewhere and it’s like it doesn’t even exist.

I agree with all of this!

      I agree.
Living in Virginia Village is essentially living in Cherry Creek, which is why it may have been omitted and might've just been lumped into Cherry Creek proper.
I'm fine with it being treated like it doesn't exist - you get all the benefits of Cherry Creek, and you don't have to pay through the nose for them like you would if you lived within Cherry Creek.
