    Great review. I just committed to a purchase in part because of your review. Would you mind sharing all of the components you used on your build.

      Currently it's set up with a Moonmen Ti riser bar, Renthal duo stem, cane creek headset, whisky parts carbon fork, Sunringle 50mm wide rims with DTswiss 350 hubs, Duro Crux 29 x 3.25 tires, cane creek Ti cranks, wheels manufacturing BB, 28t x 11-46 11 spd drivetrain (xx1 rear der and shifter, sunrace cassette), Sram Level Ultimate brakes, KS Lev Integra 175mm dropper with wolf tooth lever, Wolf Tooth mega fat paw cam grips, WTB Pure Ti rail saddle, Sram pc-1170 chain and xpedo Spry pedals. The only difference between now and when the video was made is the Pike fork, the handlebar (Salsa rustler carbon bar), race face Next sl carbon crank, and the wheels and tires (Stans carbon Baron wheelset, WTB Ranger 3.0 tires). Hope that helps.

    The camera man and editor did an amazing job on this video. That said, I
    think the "talent" should show a little more skin to help keep the
    audience's attention.

      We tried. It wasn't in the contract. He claims he was told by Matthew McConaughey "Never take yer shirt off unless the money's wrat." We just don't have that kind of cash lying around.

    Enjoyed the video!
    If you don't mind sharing your opinion, how did you come to decide to go with Why as opposed to Moots, Firefly, No. 22, Seven, Litespeed, etc? I'm trying to find the right Ti bike for myself.
    Thank you!

      Hey, that's easy. I wanted 29+ as the format. Why Cycles had the bike for that. Hope that helps.

    did I got it right? you are 178cm and this is a M Frame? this amount of spacers confueses me a bit... Thanks for the review!

    • @thewayofthemountains2450
      @thewayofthemountains2450  2 года назад +1

      yeah, I'm like 177-178cm and it is a medium frame. I like a higher stack height for the steeps. You think my setup's crazy, you should check out Jack Moir's!

      @@thewayofthemountains2450 Thanks! Im about to order a Large sized Wayward. Im 177cm and have (unusual long?) inner legs lenght of 85cm. Any opinion about this and a L Frame? :-) Thanks!

      @@stef5330 I haven't been over a large but if you have long legs you should be fine at your height. I knew I was going to over-fork it so standover was one concern. Also, when I went to the Wayward I was coming off of a large on another bike and being our height we're usually between sizes on bikes (as you know!) so I wanted to size back down to a medium. I've been riding mediums and larges the past 6 or 7 years. Before that it was ALWAYS medium. Bike sizing has changed so much! I guess we're lucky in a way. We can choose a bike size based on our wants: playful, poppy, easy to whip around? Or stable, fast, and climbs like a beast? I have to say on the medium I did slide the rear drop outs back to about 445 or so to keep that front end down on steep ups. I think on a large I wouldn't need to do that. Hope that helps!

    Still happy witht the 140mm? do you have a 42mm or 51mm ofset version?

    • @thewayofthemountains2450
      @thewayofthemountains2450  2 года назад +1

      Yeah, I like the 140mm fork on it. It's still on the bike. I went with 42mm offset. It probably doesn't matter too much but I wanted to pull the wheel back a bit and move the contact patch closer to me a little.

    I purchased this frame through back country and I do like it but got totally ripped off. I’ll never give back country another cent. They tacked on 500 to the 2500 frame and charged shipping and tax. I’m done with Back Country. The frame definitely has some quality control issues the weld on the drive side chainstay is a little incomplete. If I put a square edge on the water bottle bosses they are off by a large margin. I have to say at of all the bikes in my stable I have been grabbing the wayward first.
