Hi Jen, Thanks for doing a video based on my question-I appreciate that. I will look into those books and DBT over the summer. I suppose you answered my question. I thought you would give an actual example of something or some aspect of your shadow from your childhood, for instance, that still lay dormant in your subconscious and how, if ever, it comes to the surface and leaks out in your conscious day-to-day living(or every once in a blue moon)and how you would use such a technique (DBT)to address it to mitigate its effects and so forth. But that is cool nonetheless and I realized you were in your car as well, so I get it. So thanks again for answering my question and no I did not get my name from The Big Lebowski; in fact, I have never seen that movie in its entirety and only saw a few scenes in it ages ago.
As far as giving specific examples of childhood trauma (or adolescent or adulthood trauma for that matter), I choose to keep certain details of my life private, and that's for a variety of reasons. This may change as time progresses, but I can only speak for the time being as I don't have a crystal ball & don't know how I'll feel in the future. Knowledge can still be gleaned without knowing the nitty gritty details. Of course I understand people's curiosity, but at the same time I am a very private person and, in my opinion, not everything should be made available to the public. Perhaps you and others will have noticed by now that I operate my channel--my existence on social media as it were--under my own terms. This is how I live my life. I think more people would find contentment if they lived this way. I'm not interested in conforming to anyone else's standards or suppositions or expectations. I am accountable for my own decisions--period. I say this not necessarily to be directive towards you or your comment but simply so that I may provide some insight into my decision-making processes, at least as it pertains to my presence on RUclips. It has occurred to be that some of you might have been curious; curiosity of others and of human behavior in general is so natural. Is that not why this very website has become the phenomenon that it is? We're all so interested in the lives and habits of others. I know I am. I've not seen "The Big Lebowski" in its entirety, either. Take care.
@@JenniferMyers At some point, it's beneficial to balance radical acceptance with radical openness. On that note, although you did mention that you see the possibility of changing in the future, for now, holding on so tightly to a very private persona leads to intense overthinking. There's a beauty to surrendering the need to keep appearances and being able to express all facets of yourself and your journey freely to whoever is willing to listen and inquire about what you have overcome, the nitty gritty and broad generalities alike, so they too can reflect about their own condition. Recognizing that the trials you have faced and victories you have garnered don't define the essence of who you are and that every personality trait is ultimately mutable will also be hugely beneficial. If you're dealing with bad anxiety attacks, Self-Enquiry and lots and lots of yoga nidra (around 100 hours) will help significantly.

No doubt, having a spiritual dimension means finding a sense of inner peace - Whenever I face any difficult problem or emotional stress ( once in a blue moon) ,I close my room cry in front of only GOD ,and I pray with tears I call GOD ask help, patience and forgiveness . Because GOD says in QURAN , "Call upon Me; I will respond to you." Qur'an (40:60) - و اصبروا إن الله مع الصابرين “…and be patient. Indeed, Allah is with the patient.” [al-Anfal 8:46] (The Holy QURAN) And the (Holy Prophet peace be upon him)said : 'Nothing can avert destiny but the prayer ❤️ (دعا) that is, no one has the power to change the decisions of ALLAH but ALLAH Himself can change His decisions, and this happens when the servant prays to Him. So whenever I pray with heart i get inner peace and satisfaction ,and my problem get solves too. You are a very nice , beautiful and kind hearted person ,I like your patience , like you so much, it's my first ever comment on any RUclips channel may be it be the last one too , I wrote it just for you ,alot of love from Pakistan ❤️
@@JenniferMyers I like that you treat yourself every once in awhile. Lol @ "dopamine hits" , you should trademark that phrase. I hope this message finds you well.
First of all, I don't follow what other people do. Secondly, I require sodium since I don't consume processed foods. Sodium is an essential element for the body!
@@arlenechua2288 People usually have lemon with water to serve as a detox/power booster type of thing. Jennifer takes salt because, as she said, it's related to her sodium intake.
Hey Jennifer, have you found any mantras that work for you in your meditation practice? I’m testing a few of them, finding in the original Sanskrit saying them aloud makes different parts of the body vibrate, im finding it a strange experience but it seems legit, so any that you’ve found to be helpful to you, I’d be interested in trying
"Radical Acceptance" & "Radical Compassion" (both by Tara Brach), "When The Body Says No" (Gabor Mate), Eckhart Tolle "The Power of Now," "Can't Hurt Me" (David Goggins) & "The Autistic Brain" by Temple Grandin. Those are some of my favorites off the top of my head. But I love so many books!
I'm wondering if there's an irony or disconnect to escaping from your noisy neighbors to talk about radical acceptance and letting the disturbing thing be there. I have difficulty with noisy people in general and it sometimes makes my work environment needlessly difficult for me. I try to talk myself into thinking about it in different ways, but ultimately I'm never truly at peace until I get away from it.
I eat mindfully and try to balance my intake with non-exercise activity (such as never taking elevators/always using stairs, parking my car as far away from entrances as possible, these types of things I habitually do)!
Thank you for this. Sorry your neighbors aren't very considerate, that's so frustrating. I'm going to research radical acceptance, it sounds interesting. I would love to see you do a video on how you protect your skin (face and body) from the sun. It looks like you don't have any sun damage. You are truly beautiful.
I have sun spots! I don't mind them. I have freckles, too. I am not obsessive when it comes to sun protection. I take long walks outside with my skin exposed the entire time, for this reason (to obtain natural vitamin D).
I believe I was talking about this the other day. I didn't read the book,I just came to it by myself. I added up all my experiences, and the only thing that added up, was I wasn't looking in the mirror enough to realize that looking at me lowers everyone else's self esteem. Simple, right? Sounds vain, and vain people deserve punishment, right? Actually, now I remember....I came to it after becoming friends with a supermodel. Now, on to more happy thoughts. I made a new video last night, in 430.65 Hz. and video in 8K. I'll post it on a back video with the mp3s. Here is something that was sent to me: How to let go of Bitterness four ways to pay down the Emotional Debt of Bitterness: From Andrew Yang (Twitter) A couple of weeks ago we talked about how bitterness is a poison and my story about "Bob". Today we're going to cover four tools that I used to pay it down: Find a good listener Get some perspective Understand people have their own junk Forgive

No doubt, having a spiritual dimension means finding a sense of inner peace -
Whenever I face any difficult problem or emotional stress ( once in a blue moon) ,I close my room cry in front of only GOD ,and I pray with tears I call GOD ask help, patience and forgiveness .
Because GOD says in QURAN , "Call upon Me; I will respond to you." Qur'an (40:60) -
و اصبروا إن الله مع الصابرين
“…and be patient. Indeed, Allah is with the patient.” [al-Anfal 8:46]
(The Holy QURAN)
And the (Holy Prophet peace be upon him)said : 'Nothing can avert destiny but the prayer ❤️ (دعا) that is, no one has the power to change the decisions of ALLAH but ALLAH Himself can change His decisions, and this happens when the servant prays to Him.

I hope this message finds you well.
i loooooooove all about you 😍
i always love you jenn ❤️💕💕💕💕
Hi Jennifer, i wonder why you drink salt walter solution first thing in the morning unlike most youtuber who take lemon water first thing?
First of all, I don't follow what other people do. Secondly, I require sodium since I don't consume processed foods. Sodium is an essential element for the body!
thanks for replying! i find my acid reflux attack whenever i drink lemon water first thing in the morning. Do you think sea salt will work as well?
@@arlenechua2288 People usually have lemon with water to serve as a detox/power booster type of thing. Jennifer takes salt because, as she said, it's related to her sodium intake.
Hey Jennifer, have you found any mantras that work for you in your meditation practice? I’m testing a few of them, finding in the original Sanskrit saying them aloud makes different parts of the body vibrate, im finding it a strange experience but it seems legit, so any that you’ve found to be helpful to you, I’d be interested in trying
Yes I do!
I usually choose an arbitrary word and utilize it as my mantra. I enjoy doing this, and I do it often.
looking so so gorgeous :-). and thank you so much for sharing this
Thank you so much 😊
:-) would you share book recommendations?
"Radical Acceptance" & "Radical Compassion" (both by Tara Brach), "When The Body Says No" (Gabor Mate), Eckhart Tolle "The Power of Now," "Can't Hurt Me" (David Goggins) & "The Autistic Brain" by Temple Grandin. Those are some of my favorites off the top of my head. But I love so many books!

Have you ever been diagnosed with hypersensitivty?
Do you shave facial hair? Because your skin so smooth.
I don't. If you're close to my face, you will see fuzz! It's very minimal, however, and it does not bother me whatsoever.
Jennifer Myers 😘 😘😘😘
One question i have regarding tretinoin is that can we use it during pregnancy? I need to know that can i continue it ?
no you can't, it is forbidden by doctors
I'm wondering if there's an irony or disconnect to escaping from your noisy neighbors to talk about radical acceptance and letting the disturbing thing be there. I have difficulty with noisy people in general and it sometimes makes my work environment needlessly difficult for me. I try to talk myself into thinking about it in different ways, but ultimately I'm never truly at peace until I get away from it.
Same here ... my family think that I’m a weirdo because of this
I thought someone might comment this! I will spare you the details and just say that, trust me, I am very tolerant.
I would like to know what trauma you went through. I want to learn from your experience?
How are you feeling now?
Were corona positive,right?
Can you share how to maintain weight? I’ve been trying
I eat mindfully and try to balance my intake with non-exercise activity (such as never taking elevators/always using stairs, parking my car as far away from entrances as possible, these types of things I habitually do)!
Is your main exercise yoga? And do you think weight is mostly diet
Hi Jenn 😀how you been looking good as always
Thk u 💛💫💚
What’s your nail care routine
I use a nail brush to stimulate my cuticles and clean my nails. And I file them to keep them tidy.
Can you show your routine? Do you use clippers and cuticle cutters?
Thank you for this. Sorry your neighbors aren't very considerate, that's so frustrating. I'm going to research radical acceptance, it sounds interesting. I would love to see you do a video on how you protect your skin (face and body) from the sun. It looks like you don't have any sun damage. You are truly beautiful.
I have sun spots! I don't mind them. I have freckles, too. I am not obsessive when it comes to sun protection. I take long walks outside with my skin exposed the entire time, for this reason (to obtain natural vitamin D).
Jennifer Myers thank you replying
Get well soon :)
Here is something that was sent to me:
