Like you can imagine a young Cassian and Brasso playing with the toy Bantha and some toy Sand People while they pretend Bee is a Krayt dragon or something. So you could look at it as Bee being Brasso's best friend's dog. Now compare that to everyone else we've seen where even the closest organic-droid relation were formed as working relationships when the organic was an adult.

Regarding the scene with Mon Mothma's daughter doing the ritual, it feels like they're showing that the daughter might be keen on the idea of an arranged marriage. So it would mean that it would be easy for Mon Mothma to agree to Sculdun's terms, and that may smooth out her relationship with her daughter, but for the wrong reasons. Maybe that's why Mon Mothma is still reluctant to go through with the deal with Sculdun.
She also knows than Perrin would agree to the marriage as well, he wouldn't care about the political consequences of accepting Davo's proposal. Just the fact he's one of the wealthiest people in Chandrila should be enough for him.
It could go the other way too. The reading I get on Leida is that she dislikes her mother because she thinks her mother is only interested in her career and appearing to be a good person to the public. If she finds out that Mon stands to gain something she needs from the marriage, she might be a bit less enthused about it. But on the flip side, if Mon was to lean heavily on "you don't have to do this..." it might just encourage her to do it as a "screw you mum!" act of teenage rebellion.
24:00 - one of the original Thrawn trilogy books had Luke escaping a tractor beam by using a big cloud of chaff which caused the beam to crash. Was called a Covert Shroud manoeuvre. Thought that was were they were going

Despite you guys being a day late, your content blessed us on a daily. Edit: Luthen's lightsaber spinning move's the sickest thing I've ever witnessed!
The laser spin on Luthen's ship reminds me a great deal of the scene in Iron Man 2 when Tony and Rhodes are fighting robotic suits, they get outnumbered and Tony yells to get down and spins around with a laser like this cutting everything in pieces.
You have to give Forest Whitaker credit for actually trying to flesh out a unique character, he does fit the part of what a rebel leader would be under these circumstances

14:20 not just prepping for an arranged marriage, but prepping for a marriage as a YOUNG teen. Remember, when Perrin and Mon arrived on Coruscant and she was 16, they had already been married for a YEAR, so they got married when Mon was just 15 years old. So when Mon told Davo Skulden she doesn't necessarily approve of "that tradition," and this was after the point when he specifically said he was not asking for a betrothal, I think the tradition she didn't approve of was teenage marriages. I don't get the feeling her own marriage was necessarily arranged; she spoke fondly of the way Perrin was such a firebrand during his academy years before saying with regret, "How things change." I think she was allowed to choose her own husband, but encouraged to do so far too early in life. I think she has realized that teenagers are far too immature to marry because they are not done forming their personalities and opinions yet and becoming the people they are going to grow up to be. And evidently Chandrila doesn't do divorce, otherwise Perrin and Mon would have split by now since they are CLEARLY not getting along anymore. This could explain, too, why Leida gives her mother so much attitude now, because she's 13 now and, as Davo says, "will soon come of age," so she's looking at Mon like "Hey, I'm basically an adult now and I can get married in a year and have my own house and do my own thing, so I don't need to listen to you anymore."
I mean, it may not be that Chandrila "doesn't do" divorce so much as there's a social taboo. On the other hand, Leida may not need to worry, because if the marriage starts going wrong, I wouldn't put it past Vel to arrange for Leida's future husband to have a fatal accident
I’m ready to commit the ultimate heresy, even though there’s one episode left. Prepare to flame me! Here it is: Season 1 of Andor is the best Star Wars thing ever made. It’s better than The Last Jedi, it’s better than Empire and New Hope, it’s better than the Mandalorian and Clone Wars. Timothy Zahn and Roger MacBride Allen weep because their writing will never rise to the elite level of Andor’s. I’m dead serious. It’s no disrespect intended to any of those other incredible properties/writers I listed, they’re all amazing, but for my money, this is now the premier Star Wars narrative vehicle *ever*.
The corpo pistol Andor had in his lockbox wasn't an SE-14. It's actually a new design made from a Binatone TV Master MK 6, a home light gun game released in 1977.
Gilory did not have the balls to do a plot twist and smash the quadjumper into the rock wall and make another 3 episode arc with the 4 of them avoiding imperial patrols and getting the help of the natives ... 🤣
It was very briefly mentioned in the last episode that Maarva was a past president of the Daughters of Ferrix and asking if there was anything they could do to help her. That makes me think it’s more of a service and community organization like the Daughters of the American Revolution.
"I don't have lately, I have always. I have a constant blur of spinning plates and knifes on the floor and needy, panicked faces at the door of which you are but one of many" Such a great, great line. The writing of this show is just so crisp and perfect.
It's crazy that Luthen went through all the trouble (and risk) of contacting Saw in person, because he knew Saw well enough to know that Saw had a high probability of joining the Kreegyr mission... and he did it not necessarily to save Saw, but he knew Saw getting caught would compromise the entire rebellion. Which also leads me to the following conspiracy theory :) ... is Luthen a force-sensitive? A Guardian of the Whills maybe? Is that why he hates the Empire so much? He seems to be far too aware of everything going on to be an ordinary dude, and they've made a point of showing his "lightsaber hilt" staff twice now.
@@walteredgar2700 I admit, it's a long shot theory, and I don't think he's an actual Jedi - more like one of the force-sensitive-adjacent maybe. There are a lot of reasons this might not be true, but I also feel like this show doesn't deliberately call out details for no reasons.
Man, Brasso is such a good dude. Most people wouldn't take B2-EMO's grief seriously, but Brasso does. I mean, poor B2 is acting like a bereft husband who cannot understand why his wife is gone or why she won't come back. ;_;

It makes sense to use chaff to destroy a tractor beam pulling at a ship. If it has the power to keep a ship in place, those needles are pulled in at lightspeed.
So, Marva been on Ferrix a long time, and the fact that they have so many bricks all around the city tells me that when all the Imps and strangers show up at the funeral service, there will be a huge shootout that will take them down, and the Empire will blame Andor for this also! When i think about old western's this is how legends were made. Kyles comment that the next time we see Ando on an ocean it will be even more sad. How true.
That Kleya - Vel convo gave me vibes of Thrawn to Mara: you were but one of the Emperor’s Hands Chaff is a logical counter to a tractor beam, esp when the projector is exposed as in here. The escape also reminded me of Luke escaping tractors in the original Zahn trilogy. Someone on the writing team was def a fan The Daughters of Ferris were mentioned before by Brasso
I saw the interview where Andy Serkis shared his vision of Kino's back story. He envisioned a foreman individual leading skilled tradesmen, which is where is production leadership skills came from. I don't recall him mentioning family though.
Knew you guys would lose your shit at the encounter that Luthen had with the Imp patrol. Such a great episode and amazing series. SW fans don't know what they want, but I want more of this.
I got the sense that the Daughters of Ferrix are something more akin to a social & civic organization, the kinds you might find in rural town that look after widows & elderly folks and provide support & companionship. I don’t think she founded it.
If the Behind the Scenes reveal that Dave Filoni or better yet, GEORGE LUCAS was the set designer of Luthen's shop... it'd all make sense. But honestly though whomever designed Luthen's shop, Luthen's character, and Luthen's ship deserves a raise and an award
I know i'm late to the party, but i just want to mention how in ep 10 lonni and luthen speak of 50 men that will be raiding spellhouse, but when saw says "it's 30 men" luthen doesnt even budge. He just immediately follows up with "plus kreegyr". He knows that saw is better off not knowing that's it's actually more. Man I love this show

In a world with no handrails, no floatation devices wouldn't be a shock. 😉
The alien are local fishermen, the empire poisoned the water and they lost their livelihood, hence why they help Andor and Melshi escape.
Gilory did not have the balls to do a plot twist and smash the quadjumper into the rock wall and make another 3 episode arc with the 4 of them avoiding imperial patrols and getting the help of the natives ... 🤣
Cassian says "No names" then immediately after says "Tell Marva" 🤣🤣🤣
It was very briefly mentioned in the last episode that Maarva was a past president of the Daughters of Ferrix and asking if there was anything they could do to help her. That makes me think it’s more of a service and community organization like the Daughters of the American Revolution.
"I don't have lately, I have always. I have a constant blur of spinning plates and knifes on the floor and needy, panicked faces at the door of which you are but one of many"
Such a great, great line. The writing of this show is just so crisp and perfect.
It really is a great line, super underrated. It’s incredible how good the lines are in this show.
I was starting to wonder the same. Was he trained in the Jedi arts?
@@walteredgar2700 I admit, it's a long shot theory, and I don't think he's an actual Jedi - more like one of the force-sensitive-adjacent maybe. There are a lot of reasons this might not be true, but I also feel like this show doesn't deliberately call out details for no reasons.
23:40 well said kyle 😂
Man, Brasso is such a good dude. Most people wouldn't take B2-EMO's grief seriously, but Brasso does. I mean, poor B2 is acting like a bereft husband who cannot understand why his wife is gone or why she won't come back. ;_;
As someone who struggles heavily with RSD and abandonment issues the "I don't want to be alone" line got me crying like a baby
@@branthall1787was just talking about this. Me and my friends just rewatched this. This is easily one of the saddest things in starwars if not just cinema in general . Had us bawling HARD
I think it's funny how this show is so disconnected from Jedi and the force that literally nobody notices Luthin might have a lightsaber.
8:48 Now I cannot see them as not Vogons. XD
Personally I was reminded of the mutated Nelvaanians, when I saw the guy with the hook.
Luthen really turned into James Bond for a moment.
If the nails takes advantage of the tractor beam, you could get a pretty devastating, if situational, weapon.
Marva's the spark. It will all kick off at the funeral next episode. Great penultimate episode moving all the pieces into place in a very somber way.
It makes sense to use chaff to destroy a tractor beam pulling at a ship. If it has the power to keep a ship in place, those needles are pulled in at lightspeed.
Luthans ship is also original concept for the millennium falcon
Amazing reaction! Your knowledge of Star Wars lore is always so impressive! Really makes this channel unique
Woohoo! Been waiting patiently for your reaction.
How true.
I had to think of the Babylon 5 shadow ships when he sliced up the tie fighters with those laser beams;)
That Kleya - Vel convo gave me vibes of Thrawn to Mara: you were but one of the Emperor’s Hands
Chaff is a logical counter to a tractor beam, esp when the projector is exposed as in here. The escape also reminded me of Luke escaping tractors in the original Zahn trilogy. Someone on the writing team was def a fan
The Daughters of Ferris were mentioned before by Brasso
They are all aliens to us. They are not from Earth.
as always, your reactions were awesome
Love you guys part of joy in watching this show was watching with you 😊
I already loved the look of the Fondor but now…oh god now it NEEDS to be in the X-Wing Miniatures game.
I need it as a Lego set
yo first reaction lol!! the intro was amazing whoever the 2nd person im was the funniest thing intro ive ever seen subscribed so fast
Luthen’s ship is the ‘knight rider of Star Wars, absolutely awesome.
How on earth do you know every weapon and every ship!! Amazing!😮
I saw the interview where Andy Serkis shared his vision of Kino's back story. He envisioned a foreman individual leading skilled tradesmen, which is where is production leadership skills came from. I don't recall him mentioning family though.
I thought the aliens looked like old fashioned Muppets and I love the design
Best part is he made them turn the tractor higher by pulling away so his counter measure would work better!
“That’s so Florida shirt” lol
Knew you guys would lose your shit at the encounter that Luthen had with the Imp patrol. Such a great episode and amazing series. SW fans don't know what they want, but I want more of this.
You're reaction to Luthen's lightsaber ship spin was my exact reaction as well LOL I was freaking out, like damn. I'm happy we got some space action
I wonder if Luthen’s ship was designed by Maul 😂 those lightsaber looking beams looked wild
I got the sense that the Daughters of Ferrix are something more akin to a social & civic organization, the kinds you might find in rural town that look after widows & elderly folks and provide support & companionship. I don’t think she founded it.
The little things Luthen shoots at the tractor beam satellite almost remind me of dibbers from the Thrawn Ascendency books
great episode. love every second that Saw shows up. this show is next level.
@22:00 pretty much my reaction too 😂that ship is too OP
If the Behind the Scenes reveal that Dave Filoni or better yet, GEORGE LUCAS was the set designer of Luthen's shop... it'd all make sense. But honestly though whomever designed Luthen's shop, Luthen's character, and Luthen's ship deserves a raise and an award
I was worried that the ISB had found you with how long the wait was to clear the blockade with this one…
Man I love this show
dudes were actually ice fishing - i hope thats a shoutout to Auralnauts
Maava would have left Cassian a hologram message with the droid : Her plans to blow up the hotel using her death & truth about his sister
16:52 👀...Emitter (check), Focusing Ring (check), Ingition Switch (check), Kyber chamber (check), Pommel (check). That aint no beat stick.
Love these reactions bros , especially Patreon Page 👍🏼👍🏼
Ha, Vogons was my first impression of the Narkinians too!
