  • GM Eric Hansen plays against a blatant cheater with flawless accuracy in rapid chess. Unsurprisingly, this cheater got caught by chess.com's anticheat and was banned immediately.

Two, it very well may be someone playing at an incredibly high level who has nothing to do with being a prodigy or anything else, and embarrassing yourself by thinking a GM you know personally was an engine is probably worse than the rare scenario of a prodigy happening to exist.
But three, I think it's just generally a poor mindset to always assume that if you're being outplayed, the person on the other side is cheating. While it is obvious if they play with an extremely high amount of accuracy throughout the entire game, constant accusations of cheating are a poor stream experience and an unhelpful philosophy for competition. Keeping an open mind helps you improve (even if at the end of the day, you can go back and see what was going on).
