They’re in complete and utter denial. They have that ‘EMPEROR NERO’ syndrome. The nation is burning while all of them play their fiddles in their offices. It’s really pathetic. They continue to use Covid and the War in the Ukraine as the reason everything is going wrong, and STILL blame Labour for the state of the economy when they came into power THIRTEEN YEARS AGO! Covid hit us in MARCH 2020.The World Health Organisation were telling us in 2019, that Covid could become a global pandemic. We saw the daily news footage of the Chinese city of WUHAN in lockdown, yet the Tories kept telling us they could deal with it, EVEN leaving an open door policy at airports, with people coming in and out of the country until it was too late. And Ukraine, which happened LAST YEAR, well we ALL KNEW what kind of tyrant PUTIN was, after he’d ILLEGALLY invaded the Crimea in 2014, and STILL this government was buying cheap gas from Russia, entertaining Russian Oligarchs, allowing them to buy properties in and around London and set up businesses in the city, allowing DIRTY RUSSIAN MONEY to flow through our banks. They knew what Putin was like.WHERE WERE THE SANCTIONS ON RUSSIA IN 2014 after the ILLEGAL INVASION OF CRIMEA? The Tories are getting spanked in the local elections and STILL can’t see that the electorate have had enough of them.😼

My dad is nearly 70. Worked hard his whole life. Went to the doctors to ask about getting a new hip as he's struggling. They said no chance, go private. Asked about syringing his ears. They said no chance, go private.
What the fuck did he pay in for? 50 years of paying in and they won't help him!?
And his mate had a stroke recently and can't work. He applied for PIP assistance. It was an arduous task even just applying, but my dad helped him. They were convinced he scored enough points to qualify for assistance. The PIP people rejected him, saying he scored zero and isn't even close to qualifying.
I could cry. These guys worked their whole lives but the tories are just telling them to fuck off while simultaneously handing out money to their rich mates.
What happened to our country!? Well, the tories happened, I know that. But how did we allow it?

There is only so much we as individuals cans do but don't give up hope re apply for pip and try and speak to citizens advice. i suffer from fibromyalgia and was denied once so i re applied later got rejected appealed and got back paid as the original score was a nonsense. since then i have been for an autism diagnosis and am slowly working myself back into life but when things are hard i look to the day we win the argument and boot this lot out. Groups and discussions and areas of information are key to help arm the groups we need to get out and vote.
They are not alone as the tories have made it impossible for the services to work and they are having to take that argument to the people which is starting to have an effect. just vote and support your candidate in your area however you can even just persuading a few people to vote you know its key to us every changing thing in this country.

Come the general when this is focussed upon nationally I think this time the penny might drop, that whatever the outcomes the Tories promise the opposite will happen every time. I'm still waiting for my free unicorn while most of the country has seen infrastructure cut to the bone after Cameron promised "the northern powerhouse" after scrapping northern investments including in rail and "levelling up" after shutting schools, hospitals, courts, libraries etc all over the north. Not to mention more than doubling the debt after being "elected" in 2010 on the promise to reduce it and taxing the real economy into collapse to cut taxes on their donors. £2.5 trillion pounds BTW, that's what's gone missing from the UK finances under the Tories, in reality it's likely double that.

When you consider that this round of locals is the Tory dominated locals and in 2019 this election was the Tories' 2nd worst result in locals in their entire history anything short of recovering a hundred plus seats lost in 2019 is an abject failure. Let alone Labour ending up beating the Tories in these full stop but also with 40 or 50% more seats, double the councils under direct control (and most of the NOC councils ending up run by Lab, Lib, Green coalitions) and the Liberals pushing close to pushing the Tories into 3rd place on number of seats then this is an utter collapse in the Tory vote. The best thing is though that the Tories are running out of cash and this performance will close corporate cheque books further, and they've just lost a huge chunk of free campaign staff, use of state resources to promote themselves (such as in my town where, surprise surprise, some paths and potholes have been repaired just prior to a vote again) they are in serious trouble.
