@@gustavogruber7841 do your homework - Dean was on his way to a race with his mechanic who said he was doing between 65 and 70 when Donald Turnipseed, who didn't see Dean approaching, turned left in front of him causing the accident. yes Dean could be a madman behind the wheel but he wanted to get to the race, the mechanic said he was not being reckless the day of the accident. it was a traffic accident caused by Turnipseed who later said the sun was in his eyes preventing him from seeing Deans approaching small silver porsche.

Taking the mechanics "Mean" at 68mph, and adding the 7 for 75mph total,---would be the same as the same vehicles both going 37.5mph on impact. I am not so surprised of the damage of the small sports car, but I am with the truck. My money says Dean was going close to 100mph, and if the sun was in the truck drivers eyes, (which can still be verified today I am sure on Sept 30th at 5:30 PM at that intersection.), made it a situation ripe for an accident. But, the extra stuff on the blu-ray disk says the driver of the truck dies too. The extra mentioned the name of the surviving passenger of Dean's car, but did not mention he was his mechanic.

They all are. hollywood needs some "good" 'competition, and this film (saying kids were confused and violent in the 50's, over and over and over again, which is not true), set up the confused mindset of the Berkely students to riot in the 60's. What this movie did, was set up the confused and pissed off mind set of the American youth in the 60's. The Berkley riots, (where the commies discovered they can change policy with violence, and not need rational objective thinking.), stemmed from this kind of programming. I just bought this on Blu_Ray, ($27.00, American nostalgia is expensive today), and in the extra's, they beat it down that our youth was confused back then. But "Happy Days" was sure a hit, about the same era. hollywood has been a communistic propaganda machine since 1950 that I know of for fact, and probably since it's beginning, to grow over the decades.
