After watching the film Giant, I come to realize his role and film definitely had elements of future CBS Drama "Dallas". And I was right (I read that creators of Dallas had used Giant as a template). Dean's role very much reminded me of Digger Barnes

Dean was gayer than a 2 dollar bill, he got caught making out with a few different other secret Hollywood gay dudes. Back when gay people were cool and didn't force feed their way of life into every conversation or teach 3 year old children about drag queens... or demand you call them plural pronouns...or destroy women's sporting records...or demand I believe that men can get pregnant.

I've kind of been in love with James Dean ever since.

    • @aesthetic_yatsura

I actually noticed that around the 80s there was a big obsession around 50s pop culture and nostalgia. A lot of craze over classic icons such as James Dean or Audrey Hepburn, shows and movies like Happy Days, MASH, Back To The Future, some big artists like Billy Joel and David Bowie taking on that classic sound, etc.
Kinda funny but cool how back in the 80s people loved 50s nostalgia, and now we love 80s nostalgia haha

Never knew anything about James Dean until I was doing genealogy and found he's a distant cousin under especially surprising distant shared Quaker ancestry. Dean's famous line from Rebel Without A Cause, "You're tearing me apart!" has been reused in TV shows and cartoons. I don't think young kids watching the cartoon in which that line was uttered even got the reference. Oh, the cartoon was Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius. The character Carl Wheezer said the iconic Dean line, not word for word, but, I could tell where the writers got their inspiration.

There’s another iconic line that I recently saw on Instagram, where James Dean is trying to prevent Sal Mineo committing suicide, trying to trade his trademark red jacket for the gun, but talks to him about whether he’s ready to come out or not. Both men were gay. James Dean was brash with it. Mineo was not, & was later murdered by a street hustler. While not intentional, the lines have taken on new meanings over the years.

Can you do the history of The Thunderbirds?
It's a long, ever-changing story with skill and tragedy.
Thank you from the YF-23 23 guy.

Another recommendation for Biographics would be Tupac Shakur. If James Dean got this amount of historical coverage on this platform, then 2 Pac would be fitting as well. Their lives are very much parallel in how they achieved so much within their young lives taken away so unfortunately.

Would you please do a Biographics video on actress Carole Lombard? She was killed nearly 80 years ago while on a War Bond drive, the first Hollywood casualty of WWII.

It's ironic yet interesting his middle name is Byron cause in “Rebel Without A Cause”, you could’ve easily defined him as being ''mad, bad and dangerous to know'' - just like Lord Byron and Dorian Gray.

Do original Irish Tenor John Count McCormack who was the original one man solo show who performed for presidents and popes and even made a Hollywood movie biopic and sang to huge audiences without amplification for almost all his life. He and Caruso were the two best of their days. Also Björling. The three of them were the superstars of their era. Bet you can come up with a great BioGraphics on these three.

The night he died he was at a restaurant and a person who had a reservation lost his table do to a mix up. James followed the man to the parking lot saying he could sit at their table. He showed him the Porsche, and the guy told him ill join you if you promise not to drive it because it's a death machine. James of course ended up dying later.
