Apparently you guys overheard someone complain that F 150s were obnoxiously big and replied, “Hold my Vegemite flavoured beer” 😂, then this absolute beast was created!
Absolutely badass! However, I was a little disappointed when you didn’t open everything up including the awnings and above tent. Please create a video with everything setup. It looks awesome and can’t wait to see it!!
Such a sweet build! I work at Georgia port this truck is in my warehouse we’re prepping it getting it ready to fumigate it so It can get sent overseas !
I remember a video showing the shop a while ago and the paint weigher was all nice and new. You guys need to clean it and then place some of that 3M PPF on the display to keep it clean. When it gets nasty again, just peel it off and put another one on like a screen protector. Could do the same with the scale base as well so when it gets covered can just remove it and start over.
Great videos and projects with the F550 that you always implement brilliantly. Perhaps a mix inside the attachment "instead of just metal, a combination of metal and wood... I'm currently building a living cabin with off-road character for the F550 so that I can get it registered in Germany.
Marine-grade is what many manufacturers strive for now to ensure no mold or mildew, so wood isn’t used often. The Aussies drive these rigs on the beach frequently.
That’s funny. Before the song even played I was I thinking that a good intro song would be the one Nick Off Duty uses for his channel. And what do you know. You guys used it lol. Howling at the Moon by D Fine Us. You guys used the Tomer Katz one.
On the production model, use GFCI outlets with covers, just like on the outside, but even on the interior outlets. Never know if the doors will need to be opened in bad weather and you don’t want dirt, snow, rain blowing in those unprotected outlets. I noticed none of the interior outlets were covered or looked like GFCI outlets.
That glue on solar really should be on something more replaceable. I know there is not a lot of travel on that rear axle, but the clearance looks really limited from the tire to the wheel well.
@ f150 payload with the factory bed weight is ~2500lb. Unless you have an absurd amount of gear or an excessively heavy camper (for a small Ute tray this shouldn’t have to weigh that much), I think it’s very possible. Regardless f250…f350… much more appropriate platform
@@PathNotTakenthat’s not the bed capacity. That is payload. That’s interior and exterior loads. That’s without anything like the fridges. That bed they put on there probably weighs 1,500 alone. Then the roof rack, and the tent. Put another 500-800 pounds of gear, food, tools, WATER, etc in there. Then put 3 adults in their weighing 200 pounds each and you are over the payload capacity. Then put it on a road that is rutted and rough and that multiplies the weight to areas of the truck. It’s pretty clear an F150 would have no chance. And they said they can offer it on the F350 platforms. But you wouldn’t want to do it. You are pushing the limits of what it can use and you won’t be able to do anything else with the truck as you will still be maxed out and right at the limit of the capacity.
@@PTRRanger951 i was mentioning that the payload goes up when you remove the weight of the factory bed on a f350 for example. Regardless you missed my point. A well built flatbed should have no trouble being under 500lb. Same with the canopy. I totally understand having a thousand lbs of gear (our build has 1,000lb in fluids storage alone) but you’d still be way under something like a f350. My point is there are thousands of campers offering the same level of amenities on a much smaller platform and still staying under payload. Okay maybe not the toaster oven AND coffee machine, but just about everything else. To each their own just pointing out the how unbalanced this build is.
Who is this targeted for?? Are there catering companies that specialize in offroad/overland events? its basically a big off road kitchen with a tent strapped on top.
As a Aussie who lives just south of EC Offroad on the Gold coast, I think it is awesome for Aussie and American companies working together.👍
Absolutely!
This seems like the equivalent of using a Cat 797 to haul a wheelbarrow’s worth of dirt to your neighbors raised garden bed.
😂
I have no idea what a at 797 is or what it’s capable of, but you stated your opinion with such confidence that I have to agree with you 😂.
And so?
😂

another banger from Alex and the truck crew. these are some of hte trucks that everyone is looking at in this video.
this is the build that I'm waiting for

Exactly
I wanted to see the tent and awning all set up
Also the whole top removed and left freestanding 🤷♂️
About as good as it gets (once you’ve lowered that kitchen!). Great work.
A Dream come True !!
Stayed and subscribed for Steve
Man...that is a dream hunting rig...I'd be gone from September to December every year if I had that thing!
Beautiful truck. Dream of that exact setup Good job of all involved
Such a great setup! You guys got my wheels turnin!!!😉
Such a sweet build! I work at Georgia port this truck is in my warehouse we’re prepping it getting it ready to fumigate it so It can get sent overseas !
Great setup love it
Can you do complete off road video with for ford f550
Another bad ass build!
Amazing work guys, very special build
This thing is sick!
I understand that your trucks are the best. Hands down exceptional vehicles that are unmatched but this build is truly outrageous. I love it.
Wow. Nice rig!
Nice truck and setup
I love these trucks.... See you soon.
PS: I Grew up in Monument.
nice build!!

I’ll take this one thank you. I want Steve to come with the truck.
Will you guys be doing any 2025 RAMs soon? Pretty significant updates to them and I think they're more worthy than ever for the EOG treatment.
We sure will😁
@@elevationoffgrid Cool!

Imagine having to do dishes at shoulder level. Beauty build though

Howling at the Moon by D Fine Us. You guys used the Tomer Katz one.
This thing probably gets negative MPG. The more you fill it up, the less full the tank gets
Immaculate build!!! Is the rear hitch lowered down or it's just looking that way?
That’s standard height
what's the final bed height compared to stock on this? Like how high/tall is something like an Artic Fox 1150 going to be ?
Tailgate sits at 43” off ground. I believe a Host Mammoth sat around 13’ total height in the bed of one of our Black Editions.
@@elevationoffgrid great to know

Can we get a video of the RAM 3500 too?
I foresee a possible mix up between DEF and Diesel fills. They are too close together and are identical looking.
Just a question; with 40s Tires plus the lift, how tall you need to be, to be able to cook comfortable on that outstanding kitchen?
It’s very high right now, as mentioned. Production version will have to be lowered a bit.

💥💥
do the side-steps also act as sliders?
They can!
Sold many in the USA
👍✌💪
Can you guys modify that for dog crates?😂
what the price on this truck?
Why have a setup like this on a f550 when a f150 or maybe even a midsize would have the payload for this and is otherwise better in every way?
F150 would have no where near the payload for this. Forgetting you still load it up with people and supplies.

@ the bed is light. It’s all thin Aluminum. Two people can remove the bed off of an F350. They weigh nothing.
Spend all that money for a truck with a bunch of drawers??? Make it make sense. Just buy a motor home
This proves overlanding is a scam. Such overkill to sleep in a tent. Smh
Guessing that setup is north of $200k. Does not look to be winter compatible either.
Simple realy.
Cut an throw all the crap away an start again.

This truck is literally white
No business can't be OR beat EC OFFROAD
How were the EC Offroad guys allowed to bring Steve to the US? That must have been quite a process, no? 🦘🦘🦘
They didn’t, Steve is ours! We bought him as a baby from a breeder in Texas.
@@elevationoffgridSo cute! Hope to see him hop around one day.
