Well... this is a side of Dr. Dray we haven't seen very often... unplugged, so to speak. I laughed more during this video than most "comedy" videos I've watched recently. And... informative! Thank you Dr. Dray!
I am really enjoying lip remedy. The thumbnail seemed to indicate it was not good. It does have a taste that took a while to get used to…but now that I am, it is my night mask. It replaced the milk melatonin which has been discontinued. I have very dry lips and this has really helped
I can’t get past the taste. Is horrible. I reach for other balms as a result. If a product is not pleasant to use, I’m really not likely to keep it. Especially unpleasant taste for hours my mouth. 🤮

I haaaated Panoxyl oil free moisturizing spf w all my heart - it dries me down, it peels like there’s no tomorrow and leaves such a horrid white caste, I can literally shine white from the darkness to make a path for people who lost their way out in the midst of the night lol
Pretty bummed for Dr. Shah and his new product line that his Remedy for Lips was included in this Skincare Flops video. I know the review of the product wasn't bad, but the picture posted for the video made it look that way. I purchased it to replace my Laneige sleeping lip mask and have been loving it.
I love it as well!
I KNOW!!!! I am a HUGE fan of Dr. Shah (& Dr. Maxfield) and the Remedy lip balm! When I saw the Pic & the title I was bummed!!!! THANK GOODNESS she gave it a 👍!!!!! I was afraid I was going to have to make a choice I DID NOT want to make!!!!
It's called engagement bait. She likes the product, but she knows that making it look like she is about to hate on another popular influencer's brand is going to get people to click on the video. It's no accident that the lip balm is pictured in the thumbnail.

Panoxyl now also has a “PM” moisturizer that contains centella and niacinamide that I would say is worth checking out
This is why I go to Dr. Dray for the final word on new products. Works for this, doesn't work for that, how it feels, how it lasts, in other words, everything I want to know about something.

I am glad you mentioned Remedy lip balm. I bought it for the ingredient deck, but I cannot stand the smell or taste. It definitely has a turned oil taste/smell and I absolutely hate it. I won’t reach for it as a result. ☹️

Thanks for the informative and highly entertaining video. "Their bedsheets must be a mess..." The "glowy" trend was done before, there used to be hairspray with mica flakes in it and it was a mess then, too. It totally put me off hair "product" that wasn't shampoo, conditioner or permanent dye.

The remedy lip balm is the best! I love it !
Moogoo Australia has several lip balms but so far i only use the strawberry one for many years. A swipe or two and it keeps on moisturizing my lips throughout the day. No need to reapply. The same goes when i use it at night. Wakes up my lip still moist and the balm still there on the lips. The downside, the balm is very soft, like applying thick jam on the lips. It smeared the edge of the tube and twisting it down will not makes it goes down. Just twist it up a tiny bit to use or i ended up loosing lots of lip balm recapping it.

Had the exact same problem with the Panoxyl moisturizer! It didn’t bring me any joy and had to through it away. I feel better knowing it wasn’t only me that had an issue with this product

Happy July! ps I watched an old vlog yesterday- hot tip- most hotels have a plastic bag for dry cleaning in the closet- I Use that for dirty laundry.

I personally like the Remedy For Dry Lips. There really wasn’t an explanation as to why this would be a “flop”. Here’s my own take: It’s a good product but no better than a moisturizer followed by Vaseline on lips. Taste is strange but it’s not unbearable as it does a decent job of moisturizing, not a “holy grail” status though. Main reason? Cost is 16 dollars (US) for .33 fl oz. Expensive. I can put Vanicream cream on my lips followed by Vaseline and it’s far cheaper. I do think there was an issue noted with the first batch of Remedy For Dry Lips. Separation of ingredients is possible. Anyway. I like it, but it’s not something I intend to repurchase. Hope this helps. It’s sort of an “in-between” flops or not in my book.
I love the Remedy for lips. I'm on my 3rd tube--I got one of the first batch that separated. They refunded AND sent me another free! I've since bought another! I think it's WAY BETTER than Vaseline, Aquafor or CeraVe. It's got lots of great ingredients that have really helped my fry lips.

@@GenXVictoria No. I actually paid $16 for THREE tubes. I complained to Customer Service about the first tube & they contacted me & was refunded the next day. They sent me a reformulated tube--FREE. Since, I have ordered another tube for my daughter (who also loves it!). So, I paid $16 TOTAL.
I really like the product but will not repurchase because the price is ridiculous and I wonder if I even received a full tube. I get the need for some air, but my tube was slightly over half of product and the other half of the tube was flat. I can’t justify the cost 🤷♀️

I've tried the Panoxyl Oil Control Moisturizer. I liked both the formula & packaging they offered last summer. The old packaging was like It Cosmetics CC Cream. I think their old formula was a bit friendlier to layering serums, too. I haven't repurchased it since I'm happy w/my other SPF products for face.💓
Dr. Dray.....I never have heard you critique Argan Oil products. Josie Maran Argan Oil Body Butter in particular. Can you please critique it. I absolutely love your videos❤ and adore your descriptions of everything from mosquitoes to glitter in your underwear. You're a hoot and you crack me up.
They've been reformulated and are not nearly as pleasant as they were. Definite pass.

Coming from someone with very oily skin, I've tried my fair share of mattifying sunscreens. My all-time favorite is the Eucerin oil control from Europe (USA version is not the same!). For me it was an absolute game changer. (The EU Aveene ultra matt also wasn't bad, but they did a reformulation and isn't nearly as good anymore.)

FYI Differin has an oil controlling moisturizer with broad spectrum 30 SPF. No white cast, didn’t burn me (but I always steer clear of my eyes). Haven’t tried it with makeup but it didn’t pill with my benzoyl peroxide acne cream. I love Remedy lip but will admit the taste is pretty bitter.

I’m obsessed with this gentle thick foaming cleanser from Etude - Soon Jung (sensitive skin line) ph6.5 whip cleanser. Have you tried? I can’t wait to try their ph5.5 foaming cleanser next.
I am not a self tan girly at all but I am most definitely a body shimmer/glitter/glow girl😂 I can confirm Dr Dray that a majority of everything I own has shimmer, glitter or glow on it and it doesn’t bother me one bit. My family often makes jokes about it though. I recently I told the Valet that I spilled coffee on the seat and wasn’t sure if it was still damp and he said “I don’t see any coffee but there sure is a lot of glitter”
Thank you for the review of the new Vanicream product! I’ve been eying their new baby products. Their ointment was a lifesaver for myself and my nephew that has pretty severe eczema. On another note- if it interests you please consider a video on milk product allergic contact dermatitis. My nephew can ingest dairy with no problem but if he gets it on his skin he develops a rash at that location. I’ve not been able to find much literature on the topic. Just trying to understand the mechanism. I’ve seen others mention a similar reaction on forums as well.

I recently tried out the Vanicream Baby Foaming Wash as well. I made my skin super red and itchy, which has never happened to me with any other Vanicream product. Super recommend both the Vanicream Liquid Cleanser and Aquaphor Baby Wash and Shampoo though!
Thanks for the video. That's so funny about the foaming face wash...I have empty Hada Labo foaming facewash container sitting around, so I tried filling it 1/3 Cerave Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser which is clear and 2/3 distilled water. WOW! It makes a rich, even luxurious, foam/lather with 2 pumps. I love it. In that container I can't see how much is left, so I transferred to a Trader Joe's clear foaming hand soap container. Works just as well. Try it!

Haven't tried any but yes the discontinuation of beloved vanicream products stinks! Still pouting about the vitamin e cream years ago. Maybe Ill get over it some day😂. Their face wash is great and started using it after Cetaphil reformulated and burned like heck fire on my face

Been watching you for years and enjoy your content. I’m a little confused as to why your thumbnail and photo suggest that Dr Shah’s Remedy for Dry Lips is a flop when you actually like it?! By doing that, you may be hurting Dr Shah’s product sales because people who don’t take the time to watch your video may think you hate it.

That’s not really the point since ideally everyone should watch the video. People who look to Dr Dray for her recommendations may miss out on even trying this great lip treatment just looking at her photo frowning with Remedy lip treatment next to her especially given her thumbnail🥺.

If you want to try a good face foam, I can recommend the Soon Jung whip foam, Dr Andrea. My rosacea skin dies well with it. It has no irritatants but actually cleans the skin.

Unpopular opinion here, I like the Pan Oxyl spf 30 lotion. I have oilier skin. Have used it with all the Timeless serums, never pilled once.

You made me really laugh.....that the PanOxyl will drive you berserk! You really have great information on Sunscreens. I have used your sunscreen videos to try to find brands that I can use. I am a very light skinned white male with a history of basal cell. And I have used your stuff to try to find brands that don't make me feel like I am wearing plastic on my skin, and finding sunscreens that don't look like makeup. Thank you for your information sessions.
I agree with the zinc oxide thing. If anyone has ever had to use zinc oxide paste and knows what the texture looks like and how it feels. You'll know how hard it is to get off, rub around and just how stark white and tacky it is. It's literally used to mold proof.
I don't see any reason to use mineral based sunscreens. Unless you're maybe our at the beach, need immediate protection and want it to be water proof. Day to day, organic is always going to look and feel better.
Happy Monday Dr. Dray - hoping you review the new Vanicream Moisturizing Cream for Baby - it is luscious! They added beta glucans and ceramides so it lasts all day on my dry rosacea prone skin. I rely on Vanicream moisturizers but they don't keep my skin hydrated through the day so I'm loving this new one. I agree with you about the new baby wash from Vanicream - not effective.

Pediatricians deal with baby eczema. The american academy of pediatrics also has info on baby eczema. Dr. Sam Ellis did a video about a year ago on baby skincare covering eczema.

Hey Dr Dray! I know that you habye reviewed the Olay Complete 15 SPF moisturizer sunscreen a while back, but could you do an impression or review of their Olay Complete Plus Sensitive 40 Spf moisturizer sunscreen and Olay Skincare Complete + Hydrating Lotion, Facial & Body Moisturizer?
I am 80 and a red head, I have ruddy skin and Always wore make up starting at 13 years old. Now if I try to use anything on my skin I get the white milia bumps that her under the skin line but I hate them you can't get rid of them. At least tell me if there is anything I can use on my skin that does not promote more of these awful bumps. Thanks, you have pretty skin, you are very lucky. I never did.
