I just tried this recipe, and it is DELICIOUS. I tried another butter mochi recipe years ago, and it turned out pretty badly. I was hoping this recipe would be better, and it definitely exceeded my expectations!! It was not too sweet, and the crisp edges were to die for. Thank you for this awesome recipe, highly recommend!!
I love this recipe! I've made it about 6 times these past two months. It tastes so good reheated in the airfryer.
The only changes that I made was using 150 g of sugar and slightly increasing the amount of coconut milk and regular milk. Did not have rice flour so I have been dusting with all purpose flour. Coating the tin with a generous amount of butter and flour made the biggest difference in a crispy exterior.
Made this recipe twice with diff ovens and both times came out great 😋 my fave!!
Mine came out very thin so I recommend filling it to the top.
Also I took it out of the oven 15 mins before but it was a bit burned so keep an eye on it and adjust the time according to your oven.
I also recommend using coconut flakes instead of desiccated coconut because the sunk and disappeared.
I had not realised you could bake Mochi. You learn something new everyday. Love this! Will definitely save this and try it out ❤️
Yes! It's so good 😊
Ooh I’ve never heard of butter mochi, it looks good!
Now you have! It's so good 😊
Just made this..Delicious..
My batter was super runny so I added a couple more tablespoons of flour do it resembled the consistency in the video...
Even though I buttered and semolina floured the cupcake molds they stuck so I had to gently ease them out... I don't know if I should try cupcake liners the next time? Oh by the way, I wanted the bases more crunchy so after taking them out, I slipped them loosely back into the tray and put them back in for a few more minutes... That gave the base a super crunch!
Thank you. Will definitely be making these again!
I think I ll

Should be completely fine!

Do you have to use the cupcake tin with the 6 or can you use one with 24?
You can use either! It doesn't matter if you leave some holes empty 😊
Delicious
🥰
Can u use regular milk instead of coconut milk?
I haven't tried it, but I don't think there will be any big problems!
@@catherine.desserts thx❤
can we use regular milk beside coconut?
I haven't tried it before, so I'm not too sure. However I don't think there will be any major problems!
Do you think we can put matcha/cocoa powder as sprinkle on top while baking instead of coconut?
of course!
@@catherine.desserts heh thanks!:)
I’ve made this twice now and the interior has been more bready than mochi-like. They still taste amazing but I’d love to get that mochi gooeyness on the inside. Any ideas as to why this is happening? Thanks :)
Have you made it with the right rice flour? It has to be the glutinous one.
Hi! That's strange, as Sara asked have you been using glutinous rice flour?
Mine also not as gooey.
