I just tried this recipe, and it is DELICIOUS. I tried another butter mochi recipe years ago, and it turned out pretty badly. I was hoping this recipe would be better, and it definitely exceeded my expectations!! It was not too sweet, and the crisp edges were to die for. Thank you for this awesome recipe, highly recommend!!

I love this recipe! I've made it about 6 times these past two months. It tastes so good reheated in the airfryer.
The only changes that I made was using 150 g of sugar and slightly increasing the amount of coconut milk and regular milk. Did not have rice flour so I have been dusting with all purpose flour. Coating the tin with a generous amount of butter and flour made the biggest difference in a crispy exterior.

Mine came out very thin so I recommend filling it to the top.
Also I took it out of the oven 15 mins before but it was a bit burned so keep an eye on it and adjust the time according to your oven.
I also recommend using coconut flakes instead of desiccated coconut because the sunk and disappeared.

    Just made this..Delicious..
My batter was super runny so I added a couple more tablespoons of flour do it resembled the consistency in the video...
Even though I buttered and semolina floured the cupcake molds they stuck so I had to gently ease them out... I don't know if I should try cupcake liners the next time? Oh by the way, I wanted the bases more crunchy so after taking them out, I slipped them loosely back into the tray and put them back in for a few more minutes... That gave the base a super crunch!
Thank you. Will definitely be making these again!
    I think I ll

I’ve made this twice now and the interior has been more bready than mochi-like. They still taste amazing but I’d love to get that mochi gooeyness on the inside. Any ideas as to why this is happening? Thanks :)

Have you made it with the right rice flour? It has to be the glutinous one.
