- This tutorial shows you how to create, save, and use or navigate a workbook or worksheet in Excel 2016 or Office 365. This is the 1st video for beginners who want to learn Microsoft Excel on Windows 10. This is the newest and most updated version of the program, and this video was created in 2017. I discuss the best practices in Microsoft Excel, and how to use the program correctly and enter in data. I just subscribed. I like what you have done. I am a full time prof at a small college outside of Boston. I am Microsoft Certified in Word and PPT. Certiport will give me another voucher for Excel which I will take before my students to check out the software on our antiquated computer. I teach all computer courses and am site admin for Moodlerooms. I have a Masters from Lesley University in Tech in Education. I will look for more videos that you create. They are clear and well done. BTW, my background was K-12 and took retirement 14 years ago and started as an adjunct at the college where I am now for something to do. Who knew it would become full time and now for 14 years!!!
Thanks for subscribing. That's awesome you're a full time professor, it is my goal to one day be full time. My recommendation is to try the MOS Excel exam on a computer that the students will be using. Also, Certiport has an 'Updates' button when you log in to Console 8, make sure that Excel 2016 has the latest updates or it will not function properly. Thanks for the kind words about my videos, it is not anything fancy but they get the job done. That's great that you're using Moodle, I'm currently using it as a student at Cal State Fullerton and a teacher at Long Beach City College, it's a good LMS. Hi Professor Morgan, thank you for the many video tutorials you have made on the use of ms excel, I am recent convert to excel and I am trying to format a new sheet and I have managed to set up a date picker and various drop down boxes, however I am struggling to format a pop up time picker to a column if that is even possible. Can you give any advice on how to set up a time picker including any codes needed, thank you.

Most of the Office for Mac content applies to what I am teaching in my Excel 2016 playlist. Just to let you know, the MOS exam is only available on Windows, so make sure you know how to do that too. I am using Office 365 that my employer just installed in my computer. I have a problem using Excel. Any time I create a 1000 row Excel sheet in which I insert data(dates, client names, goods bought and so on) , the first 8 or so rows are suddenly hidden.Some other rows between 1 and 50 or so are hidden. as well. Is there a way I can "ask/tell" excel not to hide any rows in the sheet? I have only been able to unhide these rows manually. This issue didn't happen with previous version of Excel.

Unfortunately I haven't heard of this problem before. A quick way to automatically show all rows and columns is to click the green arrow to the left of column A, above row 1. That will select the entire document. Then you can right-click on any of the row numbers and click 'unhide' to show all content in your spreadsheet. That method should be faster than manually unhiding specific rows. I hope that helps.

I do not have a video that covers that specific topic. I do however, have videos that cover formulas and functions that you would use to complete those tasks. After watching my Excel playlist, you should be able to create your own document that would fit your specific needs. I hope that helps.

Good catch. I'm using Excel 2016 (not 365) so I won't see the change. I looked up an article on this and have attached it below. Looks like they replaced save as with 'save a copy' on Office 365. They're doing autosave now on Office 365, so looks like you won't have to save anymore. Thanks for the comment. Read about the change below:

Yeah, 90% of what you see in my Excel 2016 playlist applies to 2013. Your interface will be slightly different, but all of the concepts are very similar.
