NF's reference to Drake springs out of the line that came just before it - "I ain't even from around here. How you let me run it down here?" That's a bar from Drake's Summer Sixteen.
Its just insane. NF doesnt want beef or anything and he obviously doesnt need shit like that to be succesful. His Music has a whole different meaning than most rapsongs. And he still makes songs like this and proves that he could destroy any rapper who comes after him. His skill is just on another level compared to most rappers.
About the drake reference, I understand what you're saying about the difference in their lanes in music. Drake is a much more commercial, mainstream focus, whereas NF is really personable, his music touches mainstream because of how many relate, but mainstream isn't the real focus. They are formal in different lanes. I still like that he referenced him though haha didn't feel like a shot at drake tbh
He used a drake line right before he addressed drake. NF will sometimes use lines from other rappers because it ties into what he’s talking about. When he mentions someone directly he’s actually giving credit to them. It’s never negative
@@MrNate05 beat me to it. Spot on. I think it charges the perception of him using Drake's name because he took that line and used it because it was dope and it worked in the song. So him saying his name is also a form of giving a credit to them.
You have QUICKLY skyrocketed to my favorite reaction channel. You are real, raw and in tune with what your reactions are about. You’re interpretation of songs is dead on and your laid back, chill speaking voice is easy to listen too. So many reaction channels (mainly hip hop ones) are jumping out of their chairs, yelling about subscribing with some “Channel name gang gang gang” thing. Respect... you’re off to a great start my dude
i've been big on NF for a really long time. his music and him as a person has helped me so much because stuff happened and my mind hasn't been in the best place. his songs remind me that i'm not alone and that there is hope for things to get better and i love him so so much. i'm extremely proud of him for growing his music and doing all of this. i've been listening to him since before he got big and before he was well known, i've listened to him for at least the last 3 years and i'm so glad i learned about him when i did or i probably wouldn't be here today. depression is a sick game and i relate to a lot of his songs. his soul is so pure i love it.
I feel you bro your your not alone, always remember that God has a reason for you on this world, if you dont believe in God it doesn't matter, he still cares and loves about you and has a reason
"Statement," indeed! He's completely fearless! I can't express, with mere words, how much I love this man's music. He's right when he says his music is in a class by itself. In my opinion, he has no peers. All I can EVER think, when an NF track is over, is "Wow!" They ALL leave me speechless. LOVE your wonderful insights each time. I appreciate that you analyze the music; that you're thoughtful with it. Great reaction!
thank you so much for all your critique on NF and his unmatchable skill! I love the dissecting of his beat, music, lyrics, background, story, etc. & breaking the song down and helping us truly understand Nate AND his message. Thank you for helping me piece together his insanely impressive depth called life! Please don't EVER stop. Especially NF ;)
2 things, 1) I’m glad you started doing NF reactions. 2) Glad I found your channel! Lol I started listening to NF back in 2013 so I’m loving all these. He’s so good, idk if there’s a song I think isn’t good. As far as sounding like Eminem, check out his Moments album, he didn’t go by NF at that point. He sounds like Eminem a lot. He makes a reference to it on the Mansion album.
Really a fantastic reaction man !! The Drake reference is probably something the Nate of now would never do haha Anyway you are right, his fans will never really abandon him: Returns:"You got fans, but not like I do" Nate certainly has a lot of respect for Eminem and has grown up with his music, but as he grew up he started listening to many other genres of music. He started listening to artists like Ed sheeran or Adele, and for this reason too he became the artist he is now Fan fact: Nate's favorite Eminem song is The Way I am The story with Fame will continue in Leave me Alone, and it is precisely the continuation of what he said in No Name You will still see him improve and find more his sound as you continue Much love!
He’s referenced several artists. Big Sean, meek mill, drake. He’s just giving them credit because he either used a line of theirs or a concept from them. If he mentions someone directly, it’s nothing negative
@@MrNate05 Hey man, thanks for answering me! Sorry I had no idea he used his own line. In fact, now I have also gone to see. Now I understand better, thanks for the explanation!
I believe what Nate was trying to do on this one is very subtle so almost no one fully picks it up, but you touched on it a little bit. Obviously he is coming in with his passion and incredible lyrical capabilities on this one delivering the overall message that he is trying to do something most of these other rappers can't even seem to fathom. On the other side of it like you mentioned, we've got this beat that doesn't ring as a typical NF style, and that's because that is yet another jab---creatively unspoken---at the modern music industry but specifically focused on rap/hip-hop. This is his statement piece because he's showing that even using that very engineered sound, all auto-tuned and mechanically generated, he can still light a fire on the track that no one can put out and that none of them can seem to do in a manner similar to him. It speaks so loud to who he is that he even thinks this deeply about his music. Digging even further into the same message of this track, right near the end when he gradually drops the whole beat and we're just left with him rapping it just further hits that message home for me, I mean the cadence and rhyming and energy was still so potent without any of the sound going on behind him. It's such a boast that he doesn't need the engineered sound, the crafted fake image, the adoration of the world, the money, drugs, girls, alcohol, parties all that other stuff that fame is all about for most people... the way he looks at it is that he's gotta do this, it's just him, the mic, and anyone who is willing to hear his story and his message. **NF drops mic** "You're move fame..."
I discovered your channel today and I've now binged every single one of your NF reactions, and I gotta say, you're probably one of the best reactors out there 🔥 the way you analyse not only his bars but also the visuals of his videos is on point!
Remember eminem said on mtbmb interview that he himself sounded like other rappers esp when his second cd came out and how you get influenced and inspired. He fixed that to me any doubts about this. I agree with you
My favorite bar “ MMLP I’m the Bad Guy” on Marshall Mathers LP2, the first track is titled Bad Guy, which is a sequel to Stan. So he’s technically referring to himself as Matthew Micheal, the brother of Stan as he was the “Bad Guy” in that song.
It’s starting boiiiiii, watch out here comes NF the rap beast. Loved this reaction, Cam! I really appreciate how easily you can pull in rap game references from OG to new school.
Fame is a by-product of him being real. He has mentioned his OCD &ADD. This has been a gift and curse for him bc his music is what he is OCD about and it drives him batty when he puts a song together. This is why he puts out banger after banger. Between beats, lyrics and visual effects. His tracks speak to people. Love that you mentioned MJ. Micheal was just as OCD about how his music was put together.
I was hyped for this one! This is him at only half speed. lol also the drake mention was just him giving credit to him because he used a line from drake. If he ever mentions someone directly it’s him giving credit
Dope video! I know its not related to nf, but being as you like artist that have a great discography to go through, you should definitely go through The Weeknds(if you havent already lol).
If that is your real name.... its pretty perfect for a famous artist. Timothy Howard sounds like a composer or artist of some type of instrument. Build a good support system and you can accomplish as much as you want. Best wishes!
I hope you break through my dude! Tim Howard is also the name of a famous football goalkeeper, we just need a Tim Howard on the rap game now. Keep going! ❤️

So I have a question? When Nate said (ur 2 faced 2 fake and then your driving in my lane get out of my way!) is that a triple entendre because they physically have to get out out his lane if your driving down the street???????
Later on in the journey, the videos will become essential to the story and they are FULL of symbolism. It took me several watches to catch all the little things he managed to hide in there.
And the first track on the Marshall Mathers LP2 is titled Bad Guy, which is the sequel to Stan. Technically he’s referring to himself as Matthew Micheal, since he was the “Bad Guy” in that song.
