    Excellent video!
It seems that there is no point in using Fire-Control Team to combine APT with the standard critical effect, as per the FAQ.
Also, it seems that there is a strong argument on the FFG Armada forums, that you actually have to designate where you want to redirect damage to when spending a Redirect - before the critical effect is chosen and resolved that is.

      Apparently so!

Just a suggestion - when showing standard/xx-9/etc effects, show the cards flipped face-up and then at least one face-down. Just for clarity.

What difference is there between the standard effect and Assault proton torpedoes? Standard says first card only is faceup, Assault says to deal 1 faceup dmg card to defender implying more , yet in your example you had two crits showing wheras you only dealt one.

You can only choose 1 critical effect no matter how many critical icons are showing. Additionally Assault Proton Torpedoes require a black critical icon.
In the example there's 5 damage on the dice, I resolved the APT effect first dealing a face up, then I resolved the damage to the hullzone, 3 to the shields then 2 to the hull. So yes there is an additional damage there, even more so because i scored a structural damage card on the APT face up card. You can see there's 4 damage cards there when there would be only be 2.
Where as the standard critical effect only makes the first damage card dealt to the hull (as in no shields) as a face up, when normally it would be a face down.
I hope this clears things up.

The damage tokens you are placing represent face down cards, correct?

OMG!! If this game could make it any more convoluted, that'd be great.

MC75 Command w/ fire control team, assault concussion missiles, Heavy Ion emplacement, and XX-9.

except you can only use two of those!

Absolutely correct. The XX-9 is there to take advantage of the fairly high likelihood you will only get one of the two crits (or possibly only a red crit). With six dice the likelihood of getting at least one crit is about 82%. Pulling off the blue black double will happen only around 33% of the time and only with the front arc. The XX-9 can be used most of the other times you fire.

Sounds good, doesn't work. You have no rerolls. Tried this many times. Never managed to use FCT.

PetersaberHD it’s definitely a roof raiser, not a floor lifter.

True. But you need a lot of luck. In 4 games I never had a HIC+ACM combo. I've had some ACM+XX-9, but didn't mean much.
