Just bought this from pc world. Seems a bit steep for £90 but i do like the design. Just to note; if you register the kettle online with Bosch you'll receive a two year warranty.

I'm gonna get one of these, sick of my Russell Hobbs five minute boiler

I have the previous model of this kettle and whilst the variable temperature is handy for green tea etc, it can’t be very accurate as it doesn’t have a temperature probe as such inside the kettle, rather it calculates the approximate temperature by time elapsed. I don’t see the point of the keep warm function as water that’s been heated more than once doesn’t make good tea or coffee

I fully agree that its not a great feature and expensive to use this feature when it keeps reboiling the water

Is it using energy while idle, like in a standby mode? (since it doesn't need to be turned on before it starts sensing your presses at temperatures). Also, if you sat a kettle down on it that had been previously heated and picked up, and it was still 70`C+ would it automatically light up to the current temperature? (again, perhaps suggesting it's using energy to sense while idle?)

If you're that concerned, just turn it off at the mains.

Why is it called cordless when its plugged in?

I understand the comment and we have had his with other customers for years. I suppose its the same as most cordless products that they need t be charged up first but when they are finally used thats what makes it cordless and a lot easier to use.

Because the kettle itself is cordless, you twit!

Because once boiled you can carry the kettle to your neighbours house if you want to....without unplugging anything.

Same reason they call "wireless chargers" wireless, despite needing a cord to supply energy.

I like the function of keeping the water warm. But 30min is to short time. I want to keep it warm for 7/8 hours because then I can use it as a moisture in my bedroom. It’s going to be a cool product if you design it. Free idea for you.
