Hi Gina, just wanted to tell you that you have inspired me to "use my stash" and start doing daily journal pages using supplies on hand and repurposing ordinary materials, chronicling everyday occurrences or thoughts in an artistic way. Your comment about "don't worry about messy, messy is good" really struck a cord in me to use a "thinking outside the box" approach. You've made my new year start off with TOTAL renewed creative energy! I ordered a used Alphabetica [sic] book too, found it on Amazon. I'm on my way to creating monthly journal mini albums and using up my accumulated art supplies (a longstanding goal). Thanks so much, Gina!
Oh, you don't even know how happy this makes me! I love when we use what we already have to create beauty. Thank you so much for sharing. I am excited for your new endeavor and wish you the best of luck. Keep me posted! xoxo- gina
What a great share Gina! I love how you get your inspiration and totally get what you mean about pouring over the books over and over... love these books, I had not seen them before. You know I love your style, always inspiring. Here's a thought.... write a book!! TFS :-)
Liz, you are just too sweet. Somehow I don't think writing a book would be near as much fun as jabbering in front of my camera. Thank you! Have a happy week! xoxo- gina
Great video Gina packed with a ton of inspiration! I love Ali Edwards she has been my favorite scrapbook artist for so many years! Her work is amazing! Thanks for sharing. Have a great week. :)
Thank you for the ideas, Gina. I started working on my mini Christmas album last night & am having a great time. I used book covers & binder rings. So far, so good.
Thanks so much for sharing this. You are a teacher at heart and very good. Your excitement is contagious. Thanks also for showing the books. I love books and always find them to be inspirational. There is just something about having your hands on a book. I think that is why I like making journals. Thanks again. I will keep watching!
Love seeing the Lynn Perrella book. I have to get that off the shelf again. I remember when that and her book "Colors" came out. She, Claudine Helmuth and Traci Bautista were my first inspiration!
just delightful! When you called your collagey page a "hot mess" I laughed out loud. Hot mess, maybe, but you are one of the few people that can take a hot mess and make me want it at the end. :-)
Thank you for inspiring me AGAIN, Gina! I was stuck in a rut, doing the same journals OVER and OVER and bored to tears! I ordered 3 of the books you showed and once I get them, I'll be off and running with some new ideas! Yes, one definitely has to THINK OUT OF THE BOX!
Gina, I really love your videos. I just returned from Kansas City...sure was cold!!I have a question, when you are creating do you have a bunch of 'stuff' in a container and just pull from that as you make your pages?
Hello! Yep, it sure has been chilly in KC...wish we'd get some snow! Yes, I have a junk basket sitting by my table and I just grab whatever's on top. Happy creating and thanks for your kind words. xoxo- gina
How am I only watching this video now?! Love it and loves these books!
