Unbelievable that Donna performed "Dinner" live. The recording is extremely produced, where it would seem impossible to recreate the song live on stage. Yet she and her band pulled it off. As for "Hard for the Money," some of those high notes would fall flat from sheer vocal cord fatigue with a lesser singer. Donna was amazing.

She does tribute concerts here in south florida from time to time, also an equally gifted singer!

My fav Donna Summer song! Cos it's never really played ever! But it's so 80's! it was crafted at the time to be nothing more than a radio hit to lift the album with the sound at the time! Now the time has passed, her other songs have driven through! But she did her first performance on TOTP in the UK with this! Watch it if you can, she mimes, but that doesn't matter cos we know she can sing! AND it is so "produced" as Emmett Glenn said in his comment that's the top of this page! It's amazing she can sing it live, not much room to breath between lines! I just love this grainy footage though! Her voice still shines through! She is and was the best, that can actually sound better live than on record! Amazing! x
I heard Brenda Russell's version of Dinner With Gershwin and I know she wrote it but her version does not compare by a long chalk . Brilliant live and she shows up all this auto tuned kids who will fade into insignificance very soon . Gonna miss you Donna and thanks for what has been one of the best soundtracks to growing up when disco wax born xxx

It depends on the person interviewing her jay leno is kind of annoying and turns everything into a joke while Donna is there to promote an album she still likes to have fun and did joke around but I feel like he barely talked about the album and just went to her clothes and then the fact that she recorded in Germany I would be kind of annoyed too
She was very private and understated and matter-of-factly so depending on the interviewer. Donna is actually the comedian in her family and is very funny indeed but you need to tap on the right buttons with her as she wants to be taken seriously too 💫❤️🙏🏾
