How do you recommend filling in large bodies of water, such as oceans and lakes, especially when it is more than one block deep? I really struggle with this, so any advice would be greatly appreciated!😀
I built some buildings around a coastal village. There is an apartment complex, sawmill, boat racing and licensing club, airport, police station, arcade, bank, boat, car, train dealerships, a railway system, metro, diner, marina, container ship and more random stuff......
Your Ideas have actually inspired me where to start, I had promised my fans I was gonna design a city of my own that was gonna be designed on an island and I was gonna use world painter but you have truly inspired me on what to build!
My city was inspired by Tokyo, or it will be. I've already figured out my districts but right now I'm working on an "Old Town". Although my Flat World has suddenly developed mountains like a regular world, and having to use World Edit to fix large areas is frustrating.
Just about a couple weeks ago me and a friend of mine are actually starting a Minecraft series project and Im gonna be designing a city that will be my largest project called Tatthen island. Im expressing my own ideas on different buildings and I'm also allowing people to submit their own ideas to the city project as well. Im currently working on it but I cant wait until its finished!
This is actually one of the more simple and helpful ones, unlike most other tutorials I've seen. And also waaaaaaaaaay more compact and better editing than all the tutorials I've seen.
I’d recommend thinking about the story of your city. Like my city is a futuristic cyberpunk city. So I don’t have roads or garages but the buildings have small gaps between one another to make the cyberpunk feel and are bridges together and instead of garages there are hangers. It’s good to think about how a city might work in the environment of your world.
Thanks this helps a lot cuz I’m goin to be an architect or a real estate agent in la sooooo thanks I’m starting my taste of houses in mincraft I’ve already built beautiful houses so far I’m only 11 so I got some time to improve thanks
Nice city Flush city. You start really well and helped others make really good tips, When I start watching your videos. I started Building Modern house, Low rise, high Rise, Special places and Skyscrapers. The most tip I like the most is all 10 for my opinion and it helped me kept going. 👍 Thank you very much and have a good day😄
So these are my tips of starting a new city 1 build your house and some houses 2 Add a road and some cars 3 Build a grocery store and a gas station 4 build some restaurants 5 Add a police medic or fire Also add villagers for citizens
I remember turning a village into a small city on my cousin’s PC and an update caused to get deleted so this video kind of helped me a bit to make one in Pocket Edition! :)
I accidently hit the sub button and I seriously don't regret it... Also, I feel like if you add npcs, the city would look more realistic and maybe you can add some dialog lol idk :) thank you for your help!

I’m starting a city and I planned out a few things I want in it on a google doc. So far I’ve built the town hall and I’m close to completing the police station which is across the street from the town hall. I thought it would make sense to have a station there since in real life people could try and attack the hall while the mayor is there so luckily the police station will be right across the street so they can be first responders. I’m also planning on building a fire station on the corner of a street. I’m building first then adding the street. After each build I usually add more road. For the fire station I’ll probably have it where the street curves.
These are nice. I have just started my city and in the top left hand corner I have apartments and offices and I was wandering if you know what I should build around those in that area. I'm thinking hotels but I need more than that
1. Houses and mansions 2. Grocery stores 3. Restaurants, and they have to be... different, as in fancy restraurants and drive thru restraurants 4. Factories. Factories are not needed but they would be a great addition! 5. Hotels 6. A post office 7. Lakes and rivers 8. Gas stations 9. Mabye a farm too? Not needed 10. Power plants 11. Parks 12. Monuments (parks an monuments *are different*) 13. Theme park with a ferris wheel! Not needed 14. A movie theater 15. Creativity. *NEEDED*

I really struggle with this, so any advice would be greatly appreciated!😀
Hmm, the /fill command might be your best bet
World edit can also help. It doesn’t work from like 1.11 forward so be careful
All you do is make a lake one block deep than fill it with water than while the waters in dig more out.
Brick T Productions i do it manually. You place 1 line of blocks in the middle and add water, and move the line
/fill x y z x y z water
