Before starting, I would like to say that I have done goofed. The book store I was referring to as "Sinister Read" is not the book store in Wonderland Plaza, that store is called "Sir-Books-alot". My apologies!

I bring to you today a guide that is long overdue. After working on this video the last two months, it has come a long way and I am excited to push this video out to you.
I know we are covering a lot of information in this video, if needed, below is a simple-written guide of the steps and times to avoid areas, etc.

Dude this is the perfect guide for people who have played this game a few times. I don't need an hour and half video when I'm already lv 50. Just cut to the chase and show me where the survivors are at. Thanks!

Okay, I had no idea how I was gonna get this achievement, but I recently delved back into Dead Rising to mop up some old achievements, and I am so glad I came across your video, because in about an hour and fifteen minutes, Saint will be mine. Your guide helped out immensely, and even though I got REALLY stressed at a few points, your tips and tricks made it all worth it. Thank you so much for this guide, cause otherwise, I probably would've turned into a psychopath myself trying to do this. The real Saint here is you.

Amazing guide super quick and easy honestly didn't think it'd be this easy but thanks a lot i got Census Taker, Full Set, and Saint all in this one run. The hardest part was probably waiting for a certain time to hit XD

Haha well hopefully it helps! It's a super long achievement and a lot to cover in it! Just remember if a survivor dies, that's OKAY. Just make sure you don't lose more than 2 survivors. One of the easiest mistakes when trying to get this achievement is going too far in the story. After you save Isabella in case 5, you are done with all cases, let case 6 time out. Otherwise Barnaby will die. Happened to me in this video (I forgot and walked into the security room, triggering the cutscene). You actually get 3 mistakes, however I purposely left Tad out as I didn't want to have to deal with stupid Kent and his stupid side scoops hahhaa
since getting this game on Xbox 360 in the mid-2000s here I am finally getting this achievement on pc in 2023! thank you so much, this is a brilliant guide and following every step you made, I found we were at a similar kill count all the way through! you are an ICON!

Thank you for another great guide. For some reason my time was a bit ahead of yours I ended up doing things in a bit of a different order. Got the achievement in the end. I didn't do Santa Cabeza and missed out on picking up Simone even though I had Isabela laying on the couch in the security room (just a note that hopefully helps someone in the future)

Just did my first playthrough in 5 years with this video on my PC from a fresh account (I played this game to the ground in 2006 when i got my 360) and it brought back so many good memories.
Chainsaws with Triple Book is still the go to haha

@@HiyaaGeorgie I got you!!! I didn't start playing this game until 08 but I haven't stopped since, it's easily one of my all time favorite games! I do take breaks from it but they're not very long breaks 😅 chainsaw with triple book is still better than the laser sword IMHO for a melee weapon and the mega buster is best ranged weapon 😝
@@HiyaaGeorgie luckily had 52 survivors planned for this guide, however with the death of Barnaby it dropped to 51, which still has a 1-survivor safety cushion!

I feel like 7-Day, Saint and Transmissionary were always the most difficult
This worked Fantastically with the deluxe remaster! I stopped the cases around 6-1 so Simone could not join the team (so if anyone wants to save her complete case 6-1 and stop) but I also did end up saving ted so I have an overall 53 survivors. Thank you for the amazing guide again I used this for the OG game too haha!
God Bless man, this guide is great! I'm at simone (last survivor) she didn't join me as i let the case fail at Case 6-1: Santa Cabeza since Isabela is knocked out... but i saved Tad and killed Kent but i know it's already over and the plat in mine hahaha, total survivors 52 yipppee

You know how many times in the past I would enter and exit the safe room without tending to Ronald's/kindells needs and they ended up ruining my achievements? So many damn times. It is the absolute worst. I'm so sorry that happened to you :(
Yeah, I was playing this game for like a month straight before I did this, finished 7 day survivor and everything besides the saint achievement, I felt burnt out after failing saint but I’m planning to try it again soon!

i did saint back when but i missed the guy behind the boxes in the entrance hall and i still havent recovered, 40 hours of reloading saves every day when i came home from school 😔

Doing this achievement now, and aww mahh lawrd, I just did the above the law mission with all 4 survivors, the people on the bunny and cult victim. Never again. I messed up a tiny bit so I had to get Jenifer first so that was fun but I did get lucky and she found her way to the store where you fight Jo in with minimal assistance (I have the megaman blaster so ez). But the best part is I forgot to get a melee weapon so I had to megaman blast all the people under Nick and Sally (I REALLY did try and find a Queen but there were none around) and so I've probably wasted more time than I could really afford, but then while taking them to the shortcut I decide to run over and grab a mini-chainsaw wasting more time but I really did need it for the staircase. Anyway I ended up getting to the rooftop with them all but with a mere slither of time and never seeing what happens when you activate a new mission in a different area with survivors not in the same one I just winged it and activated another source. Thankfully, the survivors were still there and I got them all in.
And this is why I love Dead Rising and always will.

Hahahaha yeah that's why I always wait in paradise until 1pm that way Jennifer won't spawn until you come back with Nick, sally, Kay, lilly, Kelly, and Janet. Jennifer is baggage and can be very distracting at the worst times. Those survivors are the second hardest part of this achievement imo, it's super time restricted and having 7 survivors to escort makes it super difficult. The worst one though is a strange group because of how cluttered paradise plaza is on the night of day 2/morning of day 3. That and beth is one of the dumbest survivors.

Dead rising 1 is the best game. It's my long-time favorite, along with left 4 dead 1.
And thank you :D It took me 2 days to record all of it and two or three weeks to edit hahah
And the mega buster definitely makes it so much easier to fight bosses. I always make these without it to show people how to fight Adam with regular weapons (except for my transmissionary guide as it's almost necessary to have it for that achievement)
@@KevinTheGuide Little update, just completed the game with Ending A and S. After beating Brock I finally got it (I didn't forget census taker, did that the second I had everyone). Just need a handful of them now, including the dreaded 5 and 7 day survivor... But again I must thank you, this has been multiple years in the making since I was way to young and dumb back in the 360 days to do this. Also, something I found was you just had to be confident in them and not panic when one was getting hit since they can take quite the beating while you escort others.
Oh and one last thing. Yuu and Beth are in my books the dumbest and actually made me almost quit as Yuu kept trying to run up to the cultist members and lost me time in front of the warehouse door in Paradise Plaza as well as making me have to force poor Floyd to run around to stop them from getting sacrificed to Sean's false idol.
UPDATE: I managed to do the tutorial step by step I only missed TAD, Barbara and Barnany but I still have 50 in total so that’s pretty good.

@@gotitmemorized1024 yep just let the cases die! If you went beyond Santa cabeza mission you'll be fine but definitely don't do last resort

Got a question. Did you do the Last Resort mission during the end or? I noticed that you didn't mention it
Why was this comment not pushed to my phone? Weird. Right after Barnaby died I mentioned it, actually but it was super subtle. I said I took it a case too far. Your actual stopping point is right before the Santa Cabeza mission as Barnaby dies that mission. But if you accidentally take it too far and he dies, you'll be okay. The video ends with 51 survivors rather than 50 so you don't really even need Simone or Barnaby.
Also in case if you are worried, you don't have to do Last Resort as long as you don't start the mission. If you have already started it you HAVE to finish it otherwise the mall blows up and that is the worst ending in Dead Rising. If you just let the case time before starting it nothing happens, just another case failed.

I'm currently doing the snipers and entrance plaza survivors and missed Bill and killed Kent at the start. Should I be okay if Tad and Bill are missed by the time I finish the Santa Cebeza case?
Yes, there are a total of 53 savable survivors in the game so missing 2 will land you at 51 as long as you stop doing the missions before Santa cabeza mission. Also I didn't include tad as one of the survivors since saving him includes kents BS and would have made the achievement more difficult. You also should stop at the Santa cabeza case (let the case die, don't do Santa cabeza, Barnaby dies).
@TamingMYImpala Ohh okay, it's just that I read a guide that also says not to start Last Resort. And I thought before Santa Cabeza wouldn't work since Isabela would be unconscious and Simone won't follow you
Which I suppose that means I have 2 options between Simone or Barnaby depending whether I start Santa Cabeza or not

Btw Even before all the survivors left, I took him at 50 and that trophy if he gave it to me
@@ifrush7219 ahhh so here is what happened, there are a total of 49 survivors (including otis), the achievement also needs brad, Jessie, Isabella, or Barnaby to get it to 50. Since you got the true ending, brad Jessie and Barnaby are dead, and Isabella never leaves the mall during 72 hour mode, meaning you technically saved 49 survivors and came up short by 1. I'm so sorry this happened, I didn't even think to mention you can't do all the missions cuz I didn't think anyone would actually try to with how difficult the survivors can be

@@HERo_CRippler46 yes it's all tied to the save, so when you die, the achievement progress will roll back to wherever you were when you saved it!

No if you get exactly 50, you’re fine. But keep in mind, Frank Jessie Brad and Barnaby count as survivors so factor that into you’re count. You can get more than 50 too but you have to get atleast 50
Bro I have 49 out of the 50 I need and I did the medicine run glitch and I don’t have Isabela to get Simone I hate my life bro
What's the medicine run glitch? I usually keep away from glitches in the game because it often breaks things horribly lol
I followed the steps but unfortunately I got stuck at medicine run because I did it too fast 😂, I swear the case was stuck on it for the longest but OTIS was still calling me so I saved as much survivors I could which rounded up to 40+ besides me Accidently using the mini chainsaw to take out a few survivors.
2/1 Also When you said to wait for cases mine would come all at once when lead to me scrambling place to place completing all these quests but it worked out besides the unfortunate turn of events with the timing and all that but I’ll have to complete this save file and try again next time. ❤
3/1 It was actually possible for me to get the saints achievement despite my messed up game because right now I have 45 because Alyssa and the other gun shop survivors spawned in as well as the old lady and old man, I would’ve had 50 if I didn’t chainsaw the people but I think I had 25+ rescued people the first time I played so I am thankful that this tutorial helped me get more than I originally had.
4/1 I think I found out what the problem was, I ran out of the safe room away from Jessie and I guess since I didn’t stand still long enough it didn’t process the medicine but I thought it would’ve failed right away but it was just like gray like optional or whatever but I found that’s what happened because I clicked on Jessie and she said thanks for bringing the medicine and then it showed up a new case and then said expired and scoop lost which means it was pointless 😂

@@retro0019 yes! You can get ending B as this will be the ending the video will get you if you follow it step by step and be at the helipad when ed arrives.
You can also unlock it with ending E (I believe) where you follow it step by step and don't be at the helipad when ed arrives
The endings you CAN'T get while attempting this are A (solve all cases and be at helipad), ending C (Solve all cases but don't talk to Isabela at 10am), ending D (special forces prisoner - requires you to complete cases past the death of Jesse), or ending F (mall blows up cuz bomb collector was failed)

Friendly reminder to stop doing cases from Santa Cabeza or The Last Resort.
Oh no! I'm sorry :( make sure not to start the last resort, if you do the game will end after the timer runs out

I will say if a survivor can be armed with a weapon; give them a weapon sometimes they're effective, except the coward he flat-out refuses to attack.😅
side note: if you want try serving Ronald spoiled food or pet food not sure if it'll work maybe it will maybe it won't but if it does, oh boy... (💩)
Yeah looks like I have to get ending B but not save because I was escorting survivors and I was late with Kents thing so Tad is dead and if I do that then I should have 50 survivors comapred to 49 saved when I try ending S. So I should have Jesse and Otis saved at least and That should count towards 50 survivors and Frank should count as one
@@Lightpaladin720 correct, the saint achievement can't be done with any other ending except ending B or E!

No I believe I skipped it and nothing happened. The game will end if you start the mission, however, and don't complete it.
As long as you have done all cases up to 7 you should be fine. Just don't visit the security room until the case expires

@@t.k.h5662 don't progress the story when the Santa cabeza mission pops up, when that call becomes active stop doing cases, let it die out. It will prevent Barnaby and Jessie and Brad from dying

@@Novabinfloppin if you followed the guide completely you can let Brad die it's okay the guide gives you 51 survivors so you'd just end with 50. Make sure to finish bomb collector otherwise you'll get ending F

Yeah it's a noob gun lol but it's definitely nice to use (I use it myself sometimes, but I still prefer Adams OP chainsaws) and genocider is pretty easy compared to some others like saint and transmissionary. Driving around a box truck for 56 hours in game is simple
