I've literally only played a small amount of DR1 but these are just kinda relaxing to me
2 and off the record I like more than 1
Same
The first one is the best game in the franchise.
Well, every other game in the franchise is kinda relaxing compared to first one
@@IhatenaldsMcDo The first dr I played was 2, so it’s automatically my favourite for nostalgia, and after playing dr2 dr1 felt empty to me just because of no combo weapons and the slightly worse graphics, but 1 is still a solid game, had a good story and great character, and was the starting point for the whole franchise so I pay it high respects 😂
I don't watch your guides because I want to follow them, I watch them because they're so well done and interesting. Plus every now and then you throw a tasty meme in there, half an hour in can't wait for more
I see you were pretty darn sleepy these past days, maybe you should *HEAD TO THE MAINTENANCE ROOM AND RESTOCK YOUR WEAPONS, FEEL FREE TO MIX SOME QUICK STEPS, YOU HAVE AROUND 2 IN GAME HOURS BEFORE THE NEXT CASE STARTS*
It's important to keep up your inventory... knowing is half the battle.

"Don't you dare hit my best girl Amber!"
Tip to make Antoine easier, during Case 3-2, be sure to grab one of the merc's rifles, and before fighting Antoine, go get Jasper first and give it to him. Take him with you to the fight and between both your guys' hits, Antoine'll go down super fast. It also saves time since you don't have to go get Jasper after the fight if you already got him.
I kinda did this... I had a little group with me and I gave all of them guns, revolver, lmg, shotguns etc... Right when Antoine went out of the kitchen to eat, they lit his ass up! Liquified his health. Quickest fight I’ve ever had lol
Another tip, get a painkiller and tank the damage while you bash his skull in with a defiler
Very glad he tells you to save alot, especially since the xbox one or ps4 versions tend to crash really easily.
I love how at some points when something sounds a bit off you have a chuckle but immediately continue that must be really hard but I’m happy you don’t laugh loud so not to disturb a player when following these instructions
Watched your guide on DR1, DR2, and now this one to help with my own All Survivor runs of these games. Really well done, and super helpful. Thanks!
There is a little nod to Jo from dead rising 1 when frank meets the girl cop in hot exciterama, when she joins you Frank will sometimes say "your nicer than the last female cop I met" or something like that.

Question, what about dead rising 3 ?
I enter Yucatan when Stacey calls me about Walter and Royce and I don't have the quest nor has she called again what happened? Wait! I went to the store and they were there.
That's alotta timestamps
I’ve played these games so much I don’t even need any guides, but god damn these have been great to watch. Can’t wait for more guides in the future!
Great guide. Thorough and efficient. I'd definitely have to go through the whole game two or three times to pull this off
ive watched the guides for dr1 dr2 an this one now to help with achievements an just getting good runs, great vids thank yall
Congrats on the best guide on RUclips very well done and easy to follow good work
Couldn’t get to sleep last night so for whatever reason my first thought was put on this video and sleep and it worked
Thanks man! Only person I missed was the zombex guy early on. I took a little too long with my pictures and it set me back a few min. Great walkthrough. It’s like you were on my couch with me lol
Thank you for all the work you put into this, I love dead rising!
Ray in South Plaza is the Aaron Shwoop of DR2 OTR. If you've rid the whole mall out of zombies except for one single zombie, Ray is hopeless enough to find himself being attacked by that one zombie!
I noticed that too . He even has a bat !
As fun as this game was on its own, there were a lot of missed opportunities (also laziness) when compared to regular DR2.
Great guide, and Hamburger Fiefdom is still a funny name.
Why is that? I find it more fun
I like it more than the first dr2 for the sole reason of being able to be Frank again
@@blakbear6528 things like the lack of new survivors, virtually nothing done with the Uranus Zone area despite it being ripe for new survivors (guys hiding in the broken coaster, mascots locked in the mysteriously locked changing room, a banker holed up in the bank that explains the security keys, having Evan's fight happen there just off the top of my head), not changing the scenarios for Carl and Slappy since they only fought Chuck because they assumed he caused the outbreak (a mail delivery series of scoops a la Kent's photography scoops perhaps). Frank's model seems to be an awkwardly edited version of Chucks model even. I must stress that the game is very fun but it just missed so many opportunities and feels more like a DLC.
I enjoy OTR and liked the lock boxes and the Uranus Zone. I appreciated that they removed those three stupid women in Kathy’s Space on day 2. Some of the new combo weapons like the Electric Crusher, Laser Eyes, Decapitator, Shocker, Reaper, Lightning Gun, Laser Gun and Super Massager
@@KegOfMeat love OTR. Finished it yesterday.
I cant see the point in saving all the survivors though. You get nothing for it on OTR. No achievement, pointless. Also, how can you be SURE no hidden or unmarked cases were missed? If theres nothing to say you got 100%.
51:36 the reason he didn’t spawn is because Big Earl and either Johnny or Derrick has spawned and Deetz only spawns after two of them are dead
Thanks for this video I've been waiting for this one, nice work
Amazing guide as always!
Tim Duggin always dies 😭
Here is a tip try to use the skate board whenever exiting the safe house. The store is next to the safe house doors to refresh.
And as a added bonus the skateboards were buffed from the Orginal DR2 so there more useful.
I swear, all of your vids are perfect guides! You put so much effort in them. Do you plan to build out to any other games that have a collectathon of sort?
Generally I don't really like "collectathons". I do like the idea of being able to do everything in a single playthrough though. I have some plans for non-Dead Rising games moving forward into 2019.
If you watch the whole thing and you know it clap your hands!

Just a few things to add when it comes to dealing with certain enemies (also applies to DR2):
1) Best strategy I found for mercenaries is to take out the first one (whatever way you prefer), then "borrow" his gun and use it on the next one, repeat the process until all of them are dead in the area. Always aim for the head, their body armor actually does a great job at eating bullets. This strategy will help avoid taking unnecessary damage, and provide some variety in a gameplay that, otherwise, consists of just rushing at things until they die, lol.
2) When it comes to redneck snipers, there's this weird bug where they suddenly start shooting you with their rifles non-stop. I don't know what causes it, but in DR2, getting close to them will return them to normal, while in OTR they'll stay like this. People find it annoying, but I consider it as a hidden blessing (in OTR, in original it IS annoying), since if you get right up into their face, they won't be able to hit you, leaving them effectively defenseless. Getting close to them isn't hard, just spam dodge roll (btw, it's always good to spam the dodge roll to the nearest cover in situations where you get shot from everywhere, you're invincible to bullets while rolling) when they somehow turn their bolt-action rifles into semi-automatic with infinite ammo. They can snap back, but it usually happened for me when they had very low HP left.
3) Sgt Boykin can actually be a very dangerous foe if you plan on rushing him like usual without having many healing items. His melee attack seems to initiate his special throw every goddamn time it connects (which is his most damaging attack btw), so do try to dodge it from time to time. I like to have at least one good firearm (the only one I consider bad is a handgun), use it on him while dodging everytime he aims his LMG, pick up other weapons that are lying around and use all of them in order to wear him down for melee combat. Hell, I've actually managed to kill him a couple of times just using guns alone (only in OTR though, it seems they left more assault rifles lying around in this version).
4) It's actually way easier to kill Mark and Pearce (2 scientists at the end of Case 8-2) using an assault rifle, since they are very weak and don't have any damage cap. Just try it out once and you'll see what I'm talking about.
The only personal note I'll leave is that these guides are absolutely awesome and it would serve beginners well to watch them, but do NOT follow them from every step to step, especially when watching "all survivors" guide, because you may feel like you're just grinding instead of playing the game. Don't sweat your ass off to save everyone if you don't feel like it, feel free to create other combo weapons aside from spiked bat and knife gloves, do some absolutely silly stuff and have fun (although I wouldn't advise ignoring survivors that can do something useful, like Linette who will unlock a shortcut). I, for example, when playing DR2, suddenly decided to beat Bill, the greedy pig who wants your 25000 $, to death with money cases, then created a mixed drink "Repulse", got to 2 ""comedians"", Royce and Walter, drank repulse, destroyed their trophy so they would defect and try to beat me up, watched and laughed at them trying to get through the horde with their bare hands, decided to help zombies by slicing these numbnuts with knife gloves, found out survivors get absolutely shredded by zombies if they're attacked while downed, their fresh bodies attracted a huge crowd of zombies, I threw my dynameat and got some nice PP from it, thanked those 2 guys for doing something useful atleast once, went to Atlantica Casino, got drunk and participated in "Ride the dolphin" minigame. Did I miss out on PP? Yes. Was it pointless? Maybe. Did I waste lots of time for virtually nothing? Yeah. Was it fun and satisfying? Absolutely. Would I do it again? Hell no, I'll do something even more stupid and crazy next time.
Damn, this got lengthy, but I just love this game too much, I suppose.
Machines with cash infront of them can be played, and will guarentee a win 4 times then you can destroy them. Money hacker, being a torch and computer at a workbench will craft it, can be used on ATM's for a total of 100k each time off memory. Boxing gloves and knife, is the best damage, fire axe and sledgehammer is another good option. Wear a piece of every clothing to have the effects of all the outfits at once also. Plenty of little tricks. Bottles of wine on the wall can be grabbed an infinite amount of times to max level. Love this game series, 1, 2 and OTR.
It can be worth it to knock out the dummies in the sports store, smack the test of strength with a sledgehammer, and the golf game. Good xp and super bloody easy. Dice is more random rng, but it can be won, for some easy pp forget the amount. Also helps to farm some money using the LCD slots game in the casino to the north west of the security room, not the one you first entered in the video, but one later on near the doors to the outside, just to the left near the pharmacy. There is a gambling magazines, 3 in total, 2 in overtime mode. So it's worth it to fail the game first time and use that for a quick money farm for some keys / zombrex for the next playthrough. 50k is pretty cheap considering it doesn't take long to win with the machines when there is money infront as mentioned, and atms / money spawns. Really speeds up the gameplay having the car key for the first plaza, two seater however, can usually drive two survivors to the security room by the time the third one has caught up.
i thought it was a flashlight and a computer
Love these videos
Thanks recommended playing for helping me get all the survivors on my PS4!

kind of sad that sven failed to save tim duggen twice
he should take his ass back to norway

Thanks so much. Just completed Dead Rising 2 with your guide now I'm doing this one. Dead Rising will be last... :p
I've never played dead rising, and I probably never will, but so far I've watched all of your survivor walkthroughs, they just seem therapeutic due to how well they're done. Good job my dude

Why did they have to change the AI the survivors for OTR
Why couldn’t they leave it alone?
Great question. A lot of the changes in OTR make the game worse.
@@RecommendedPlaying What do you think is worse in OTR. I've completed OTR and everything before it over the last month or so. I loved OTR possibly my fave one.
yes,but even OTR is better than DR4
@@RecommendedPlaying OTR is way better than Dead Rising 2 ! For starters , Frank over Chuck ANY DAY !
@@WorldWidePatriots yea I agree off the record way better and survivors aren’t to bad with ranged weapons
Did I comment on this?
Evidently not. A fun trick with the TIR Overtime thing is that you can just stand there and do absolutely nothing after you bring the cage down. Just activate the Zombie Walk and they'll all completely ignore you, even the gas zombies. From there, just wait for the cutscene since your kill count doesn't matter.
Can you do a all survivors guide for Dead Rising 3?
For the helicopter fight in 6-1 if you get a toy spitball gun it will be way faster and easier to do
Thank you.

Ah, yes. Angel Lust. That one character from Hazbin Hotel.
I can't thank you enough for this, brother.
I like a version of the game story where D.R. I happens and D.R. O.T.R. Also happens, a whole frank storyline
Word of advice if you hit the van with the motercycle it does alot of damgage
I don’t know if he updated all the missions in the game but at 3 AM on day 3 I believe Lenny has a secret mission where he gives you the code to the vault at the Yucatan casino, in the vault is 500$ so if you need a little help with money do that mission, go back to talk with and he will let you keep the money and you get pp.
74 Total Survivors (If you don't include Frank West & Rebecca Chang, which would be 76 survivors).
The sport's fan costume makes frank look like giant's fan
If it wasn't for you I wouldn't have beat this or the original 2nd one thanks so much
Instead of waiting to get the comedians, I got them along with the nerds and artist. I had 6 in-game minutes to spare once I got to the safe house. My blood pressure has never been so high
The trick with Snowflake is to scatter the steaks on the white floor...when she charges hide behind a pillar. If she spots you she'll take you over the steaks!
In the TIR segment i got gold by just throwing myself in to the crowd and spamming elbow drop. Helps you get pp at the start and is satisfying.
57:41 yeah right. This guy was hard. In dead rising 2, he was an easy boss. But thanks to capcom for giving the bosses damage cap, he was hard!
Seymour is a joke in all iterations in Dead Rising 2. Quite literally the easiest psychopath besides Ted.
@@RecommendedPlaying I understand that, the only thing that I hate bout the game is the new damage cap which makes it a bit harder. Also, uhm, is it normal for Ray not to spawn after you finished Seymour cause I finished it and he didn't spawn.
Yeah the damage cap sucks. It just prolongs fights that are relatively easy. I was just playing off the record and Ray was just dead when I found him after the fight so I don't know, it's probably just a glitch that occurs.
lol, it's funny hearing your hatred of poker in this. Personally I love playing poker, so these segments were great. Different strokes and all, I guess.
The PP sticker keeps killing me omg
*fyi to anybody going back to play this game or anybody new to playing you can use the money hacker weapon on atms and slot machines that you can get after defeating the looter who possesses the weapon. Just smashing an atm with other weapons will get you 5000 in cash but using the money hacker will get you 20000 in cash*
Damn, i thought playing sandbox is the only fastest way to gather fast money. Tks bro!
Thanks so much I finished it so many times your the best❤️
The amount of effort that went into this video.... and none of it even matters because you get nothing 😞 then again could be good for people going for a lvl 50 frank
theres a very easy glitch you can do to get to level 50 in all versions of Off the Record. You just grab vodka off the shelf in the food court bar.
@@RecommendedPlaying is that related to the PP hint about “drinking like it’s a cold Russian winter” or something?
"PP sticker" doesn't even sound like a word anymore to me.
41:11 or you can grab a water pistol to stun slappy
I just started a new DR OTR save, and I just found out you can use ANY of Frank's moves besides the zombie walk, I FOUND OUT AFTER 8 YEARS.
Honestly what's scary about this, is that if you didn't know, those american snipers have semi automatic fucking sniper rifles, like they can seriously fire like 12 bullets in 10 seconds, which is insane, and they can keep firing as long as you aren't in melee range.
Are you going to do a video like this for Dead Rising 3
maybe one day. I dont really care for Dead RIsing 3 so I'm not looking forward to it.
Isn't there The Secret of Charlie's Gold mission that Lenny gives you on Day 3 or is that mission only occurs on the original Dead Rising 2?
Yes he
Didnt cover it in dead rising 2 vid either cause not major benefits
after i killed cowboy guy, i cant find ray anywhere... hes not by the maintenence room like you said.
yo on the xbox one and ps4 version snowflake is really easy to tame. I tamed her first try she goes for the steak right when I drop it.
Are you planning on making a dead rising 3 guide video?
Not anytime soon unless someone throws an Xbox One my way.

@@Somerandomperson-hl1kt ?

The sports fan outfit works like the one in original DR2? I mean, that you could wear only 1 piece of the entire outfit and you would still get its benefits? I wear 1 piece of every single DLC outfit to get a bunch of buffs in original DR2, wonder if it is the case in Off the Record.
In OTR you need to wear all the pieces of the outfit to get the bonuses.
19:46 *literal PP sticker*
1:20:40 you should have taken the bfg and created the Super bfg one shot can kill all the mercenaries. and will save you some time
Frank got himself a dump truck
I remember watching this video some chicken McNuggets
Sorry to ask this question, just curious as the wiki for this game didn't give me the information I wanted. I was just wondering how many survivors are there in total to collect in the game?
Dont bother. You dont get an achievement for doing this.
Why is this so hard what button do I press to have the freaking zombrex errrrrrg
Idk if I was just bad at the game, but when I got the Art appreciation and Sven scoops, I got them RIGHT when the timers were near the end. I only managed to get Sven to the safe room. Is it my fault that the call didnt arrive earlier, or did the game screw up?
Clearly you're way too slow. I get the call for Randall at 5PM when he spawns. You're insanely off in terms of the time.

i don’t enjoy mostly because of the scare zombies
