At the rate for the British Pound today the car would be about $32,700 USD. And if the car is coming from Mexico, hopefully the destination charge would be reasonable as well.
When you started off I was waiting for the other shoe to drop ...meaning you might say this was an EV. But happily you did not. :) So things I would change/add: AWD, more colours, add some darn power to that front passenger seat. I always find it ridiculous that many car companies don't do that. Does it really add more to the cost? I'm not sure what I think about the transmission shifter ...it looked odd in this video. The HP is fine. I was thinking you were going to say something like 140HP, but over 200 is good. Thanks for posting/sharing. Cheers!
Correction on the engine spec: Power (depending on the market) ranges between 168 to 178hp and 275 to 285nm only, NOT 225kw (301hp) 385nm. Also, you can easily pronounce it as "Sa-ic".
If it's a Chinese product, I try to avoid buying it. My experiences with Chinese products affirms avoiding their products if possible. Your review was well done, so keep them coming.
Nice review! actually, they buy a lot of tesla GM and ford cars there, nobody complains U.S brands, and not even a negative factor for them, but US here, too much politics in it
Its looks good and has a lot of content and features for the money. If they began selling their line in the US at a competitive price and had decent reliability they could occupy that spot that Hyundai and Kia used to. Even though its not really an MG as older Americans remember, the name might still carry something vs. "SAIC".
How utterly depressing… For anyone old enough to remember MG is synonymous with sports cars, not ho-hum SUV’s… No thanks I’d prefer remembering MG as a fun to drive sports car.
Some parts are produced there but not the vehicle. Also, the issue is a Chinese owned company rather than where it's built. China does not "own" Ford or GM. China does own this little car company due to the fact that the government in China owns all the companies in some respects.@@Roadbunny777

Nice job, Lauren...what a fun vehicle!
Thank you 🤗
Nice looks, but does it have a Beijing uplink?
😂

Cars are more expensive in the UK so it's hard to get an accurate idea of what it would cost if they started selling here.
I wanted to get a mg when I was a kid
GREAT REVIEW THANK YOU LAUREN
Hope they keep the MG logo ❤
its from chinia wy would you take a english name if it is made and produced in chinia .and we have them to as electric
Good question
Like the styling overall...
Concern would be if MG does come to the US the dealer network could be a problem ? Also the overall warranty ?
Jut had a thought team up with STLANTIS for ready made dealerships ?
Its coming from Mexico to bypass the tarrifs.
My thought was to sell at-in the existing STL. dealerships.
Like Studebaker did many years ago selling Mercedes in their show rooms .@@CarCoachReports
The GMC Canyon elevation fully loaded option is my favorite version! I like the front fascia look and four side marker lights!
Hi! What's the ground clearance on the MG One?
Figured it would be electric. So good on them for that. But if I wanted a Chinese budge sub compact I’d get a Buick…..which I won’t.
Are you sure it is coming to the USA market?
I wish so, but I doubt it.

That is a big MG

Hey Lauren test drive the Peterbilt 389 or 589 or even the Mack Anthem or Pinnacle
That would be so fun

Certainly has more features than my MGTD.
Am I the only one who doesn't see any green in the "Wilderness green" paint?
MG is an iconic brand. Shame it was sold to the Chinese to slap the logo on generic looking hatches. Looks like a Kia or Hyundai.
I know - I'm sure they sold a name that isn't being used.
03:07 Looks like someone just celebrated their quinceañera and hit the piñata inside the car.
OhhhMG🤘🏼
The 1.5-litre engine in the MG One produces 168hp.
I love Lauren, However i will pass on Chinese vehicles
Me too and thanks

I'm sure they would use MG
CVT transmission, that's the deal breaker, wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole!
Cutting costs - every brand is doing this
Love Chinese cars like Volvo. I buy only Chinese.
How utterly depressing…

They try to push these in the UK, but everyone knows they are a rebadged Chinese disposable vehicle that won't hold its value.
Spyware included no charge.
lol - yes this is a Chinese brand - SAIC
As if large internet companies and the Federal Government don't?
Why defend CCP? @@dj4monie
CVT is a no go for me.
your mg so dirty floor 😂
No Chinese communist cars for me.
Not a bad looking little car but the Chinese angle puts me off. We support them too much as it is in my opinion.
The new Buick cars and some Ford cars are made in China as well

@@Roadbunny777 the difference is this, this is a state owned car company. Big difference.
