I went to catholic school around here over two decades ago. Missing walking by these houses on my way to school. Beautiful, historic houses owned by black people only rivaled by Laurelton and Cambria Heights in Queens. Nice to see these areas still thriving.

Enjoyed this video. I've been to the other areas of Flatbush like the Junction but never knew this quiet and tranquil neighborhood existed in Flatbush.

Yeah, it's really nice and historic. The best time to check it out is in spring when everything is in full bloom. Thx for watching!

Thanks Paul for another fantastic walk. I'm in northern California and I have never seen such grandeur homes as you show us. They are probably here somewhere, we have some gorgeous Victorians in my gold rush area, where I live, built about 1850+, but not so grand in size.

Thank you Lorna! I appreciate you watching these and I’m glad you’re enjoying all the cool houses. It’s fun to go explore and document these areas. I’ve been to NoCal before and I loved Big Sur, Mount Shasta and The Redwoods. Beautiful nature everywhere up there!

@@paulsportal1720 There sure is, the Redwoods are my favorite go to. We live in the gold country, around the Placerville area, a super quaint historic gold town, Old Hangtown.

This was eye opening to me. I had no idea Flatbush, Brooklyn looked like this. It might as well be the suburbs on NJ.

Wow I think the train I used back then was the 3 & 4 & I caught the D when I go to Coney Island . I left in 1986
But I go home a lot . Between Bklyn & Staten Island seeing family I’m older now & live in Indianapolis. I’ll always love Bklyn .

The 2 & 5 go straight through to The Junction, but that's more the east half. This area is the Q and the B, which was the D years ago like you said. They switched the B and D lines for some reason years back.

I use to walk through these streets when I was in my early teens in the 1980's while I was a student at Ditmas Junior High School. My news paper route was on Ocean Ave from Foster Ave to Church Ave before school 6 days a week including sundays ...thanks for bringing back the memories.
