The furniture itself is very stylish in itself, but mixing contemporary furniture with an antique architecture is very difficult…in some cases if done well it can fit and look beautiful. But in this home, it doesn’t really fit in all rooms, because it seems displaced. The room is antique, and the furniture is contemporary, if it was mixed more it would look better, some more antique decor and more rich woods embellishments..

The walls provide a good canvass for pops of color rather than just more white lol, but staging tries to be as inoffensive as possible so I get why (which leads to the most boring outcomes)
I think ya'll are crazy. A modern take is exactly what a home like this needs. Just because you like Tudor architecture/finishings doesn't necessarily mean you want to furnish your house to look and feel like you're living in your great grandparent's home. That said, I also don't really like the furnishings either but not because they're modern. It's clearly just furniture for staging so it feels impersonal. This is the first large house I have seen that is as lovely inside as out. It is airy yet welcoming. Love the high cielings. The marriage of ultramodern yet organic shaped furniture goes beautifully with the natural materials and classical design of the house. Such a positive vibe from this place.
I think the furniture looks great and freshens up the house. It's nice to see an older home for once not filled to the brim with vintage artwork and antiques creating the museum vibe that we've seen so many times before already. Modern houses are made to look like hotels because the owners wanna feel like they are always on vacation. But you never stay on vacation more than a week. Hotels dont focus on making it a good place to be in but they make them to house as many people as possible. The majority of the time on vacation you wont spend in the hotel itself because it isnt very homely. Maybe i got a little side tracked but this is the most ideal house to raise a family in. Its very inviting and cozy.

I agree with many of the comments here - the house and grounds are amazing, and thank god they did not destroy the house to fit the furniture and horrific modern choices. I never understand when people decorate in a fashion that is not in symphony with the aesthetics of the architecture.
I love this home. At its heart it is a modern house that could easily pass for a Tudor in the English countryside. The design is quite refined I love the juxtaposition of the modern furniture with the Tudor-inspired design. The grounds and the views from the rooms Into the gardens are amazing. Reminds me of a popular video on RUclips of the home of Knud Erik Hansen the descendant and head of the Carl Hansen Furniture Co home in Denmark - A 16th century Danish manor tastefully filled with modern and Midcentury Modern furniture.
I'm like the other person whose name starts with a k I think that the modern furniture in this beautiful Tudor home doesn't look quite right in it messes with the beauty and the charm of the Tudor time frame any🦉who y'all have a blessed day and night ❤️.
I’d furnish it a bit differently, but I still quite like the furnishings. I think that the contrast between the “light” furnishings and the “heavy” finishes of the house creates an interesting and unexpected dynamic while still being easy on the eyes. I also love the landscaping!
Contemporary furniture is not so bad but in this environment, the contrast is just too glaring. I would have chosen warmer tones and slightly more traditional.
I believe we can enjoy, appreciate and even own old architecture without deeming we must also surround our interior design in the same era. Life is to be enjoyed through the beauty of the past but to also live in the now.
The modern furniture makes it look like a real person can actually live there and the crisp clean sharp lines of the furniture and the crisp white frame against dark wood provides an amazing contrast between new and old to keep the house looking fresh and timeless.
im(h)o, the soft, neutral furniture allows the architecture of the house to brought to the foreground. I enjoy the juxtaposition of the woodwork (shape+colour) and the furniture(shape+colour) with some unifying elements (geometry+colours). Those electric candle sconces are perfect! The mirror placement to reflect the angles of the stairwell is lovely, as well. I also like how the arched doorway is not wooden or dark (it could have been!), and that it's a light colour to bring some warmth alongside those electric candle scones. What could have been heavy, dark, dreary has now a light and airy feel to it, merely grounded by the earth-tones of the woodwork instead of bogged down by it. Who built and decorated this house? Will you take my soul as satisfactory payment?
The house is stunning! 🤩 The bones of the house are phenomenal but why use modern furniture 💔 it takes the beautiful charm away from the initial feeling presented outside. Such a pity the owners don’t seem to appreciate the look and feel that it had intended when it was built. One of the most beautiful houses made. Wow!

@@davidcattin7006 It's funny because the modern furniture made the interior seem more art museum-like to me lol. I woulld definitely prefer some more comfortable "lived in" pieces (think: leather sofas, comfy accent chairs, etc.) with a bit of color as well.
Gorgeous home and grounds. The tension between traditional architecture and contemporary furnishings is beautifully done in many of the rooms, others not so much. But for me that makes the house interesting, it has personality.
I actually love it too, the modern with the old, it's a nice contrast and lightens the place up, I feel like actual Tudor-style furniture would darken it too much.

The majority of the time on vacation you wont spend in the hotel itself because it isnt very homely. Maybe i got a little side tracked but this is the most ideal house to raise a family in. Its very inviting and cozy.
The minute I saw it, I could sense myself existing in every room. My essence rejuvinated. As a studying architect, I hope to also one day design artistic, beautiful, inviting and comforting spaces like this home.
Absolutely stunning!
Beautiful. Thank you god.
Thank you for my Omaze house. Thank you for listening and blessing me with the miraculous means of finally being able to have my very own house, my very own home. I pray I, you and everyone reading this comment are blessed where our 4 walls brim with light, happiness, health, wealth and laughter. Endless love and good days. God bless 😊
I agree with many of the comments here - the house and grounds are amazing, and thank god they did not destroy the house to fit the furniture and horrific modern choices. I never understand when people decorate in a fashion that is not in symphony with the aesthetics of the architecture.
A blend of traditional and contemporary interior. Keeping the character of the home.
Stunning. The home the garden and the furniture is just perfect !!!!
Gorgeous and grand.
Love the calming shades of neutral colors…
Beautifully shot.
I’ve heard the saying ‘falling in love with a house’ but never truly understood till now. I could get used to this magic castle very quickly ❤
I'm like the other person whose name starts with a k I think that the modern furniture in this beautiful Tudor home doesn't look quite right in it messes with the beauty and the charm of the Tudor time frame any🦉who y'all have a blessed day and night ❤️.
Isn't it mock Tudor though?
I’d furnish it a bit differently, but I still quite like the furnishings. I think that the contrast between the “light” furnishings and the “heavy” finishes of the house creates an interesting and unexpected dynamic while still being easy on the eyes. I also love the landscaping!
Beautiful home, but without the contemporary furniture. I would like to have seen it with English Country, antiques and vintage, ❤
Yes, yes, yes!!!
Exactly. Why have the house in Tudor style if you are going to fill it with modern furniture that doen't fit?
@@jaimicottrill2831 They've modernized the house while keeping the old charm
Contemporary furniture is not so bad but in this environment, the contrast is just too glaring. I would have chosen warmer tones and slightly more traditional.
This is breathtaking. Not sure I could ever put this house up for sale if I owned it. It’s beautiful. Timeless.
I believe we can enjoy, appreciate and even own old architecture without deeming we must also surround our interior design in the same era. Life is to be enjoyed through the beauty of the past but to also live in the now.
Everything is Perfect!!!, to me , NICE!!!!
The modern furniture makes it look like a real person can actually live there and the crisp clean sharp lines of the furniture and the crisp white frame against dark wood provides an amazing contrast between new and old to keep the house looking fresh and timeless.
Beautiful home. I’ve had the privilege of touring a few homes like this, Very nice!
im(h)o, the soft, neutral furniture allows the architecture of the house to brought to the foreground.
It's beautiful and i love that they decorated it how they wanted to.
Wow!
Some people don't want to feel like they're living in a museum. My contemporary furniture and artwork goes very well in my 130-year-old Queen Anne house.
Brilliant observation. Those were exactly my thoughts! That horrible furniture clashes with its architectural surroundings. The ideal type of furniture for that house would be something sober but elegant, like Chippendale or Sheraton.
I actually like what they've done.
@@davidcattin7006 Real Tudor can be extremely oppressive and heavy, imo. I much prefer Edwardian.
@@davidcattin7006 It's funny because the modern furniture made the interior seem more art museum-like to me lol. I woulld definitely prefer some more comfortable "lived in" pieces (think: leather sofas, comfy accent chairs, etc.) with a bit of color as well.
Oh my gosh… this is my favorite home of all time! Love love it ❤
When I'll be a Billionaire I'll own this one 💑
Me too!
Gorgeous home and grounds. The tension between traditional architecture and contemporary furnishings is beautifully done in many of the rooms, others not so much. But for me that makes the house interesting, it has personality.
I actually like the contrast of the traditional and the modern.
Same here. Everyone moaning that they've ruined it probably romanticises that old is always better. Real Tudor is very dark and heavy
I actually love it too, the modern with the old, it's a nice contrast and lightens the place up, I feel like actual Tudor-style furniture would darken it too much.
And it gives the impression that people have lived here over time ❤
Nicest Tudor house design I've seen. Don't care for the mod furniture.
Beautiful house. Not mad at the modern furniture.
Beautiful, well done home owners and decorators.
My favorite style of home and this is the standard that is timeless.
I totally agree.
Building a Tudor home in California is wild.
This house was built over a hundred years ago by anglo tradesmen
@@LouisAlfieri-n2l1930 isn't over a century ago
Tudor revival looks odd in itself. Outside the UK is even more senseless
i was wondering what a Tudor was doing in the middle of non-Tudor houses..? on a different continent even?
@@PleochroicRainfall there are many old tudor homes in North & South America. Even mamy in South Africa & Australia
@@ceruleangolem4936 if you think that, don’t read about the Storybook Style in California in the same period, it’ll blow your mind
That mansion is a stunner! Breathtaking and just gorgeous! It’s like a fairytale out of a storybook! Now all you need is an old English Aristocratic family to move in and it will be complete XD!
Stunningly beautiful.
I grew up in a pretty affluent neighborhood & there was a Tudor mansion that always stood out to me & the design spoke to me 😅
I LOVE THE MODERN FURNITURE!!!!
It’s a true "Modern European Translation"
Perfect for someone who’s looking for character but also wants an elevated feel!
It’s stunning
Really a fantastic work. I see no issues with the décor. Should I ever get elevated to such grandeur I hope to replicate this feeling.
I don't know what the top comment is tripping about. This house is gorgeous and the mix of modern furniture makes it lively and not a horror house. I love it, very cozy.

Transitional furniture would have been a better selection.
More period furniture definitely would have been a better choice in the higher traffic rooms. The pieces in the foyer seem very out of place. Also would have liked to have see what was drywalled over in some of those rooms.
Furniture is garbage and a very poor choice. Tacky and ugly.
I figured someone staged it from a prop/set warehouse, since it doesn't go with the home at all. Maybe that's it?
