Prevents Engine Sludge and Blow-by. There is no question the oil is the lifeblood of the V8 motor in your 2018 Mustang GT. You can prevent premature oil deterioration and engine sludge with the JLT V3.0 Satin Oil Separator. This is basically a better and larger version of the JLT Oil Separator that Mustang fans love. This kit has a larger 30 oz. capacity to effectively separate accumulated sludge and dirt inside the motor. The result is longer oil life, better protection on extremely high or low temperatures, lower emissions, and a cleaner engine. This kit will also prevent blow-by to maintain the intoxicating performance of your muscle car.
Proven Construction and Performance. The JLT V3.0 Satin Oil Separator is designed to bolt in the passenger side of the engine bay. It is constructed from strong and lightweight billet aluminum to offer excellent filtration in all types of driving conditions. The knurled bottom on the canister makes it effortless to remove and dispose the spent oil. Simply give it a slight twist so you can dump the sludge after every oil change. It is fitted with a quality O-ring seal to prevent leaks. The entire kit is finished in a black anodized coating to prevent rust and corrosion. This oil separator kit is made to last and comes with an excellent limited lifetime warranty.
Easy to Install. The JLT V3.0 Satin Oil Separator is easy to install. You can complete the job in approximately 1 hour or less using basic socket set, simple hand tools, and the plug-and-play hardware. You will need to remove the strut tower brace and the plastic engine cover to gain easy access to the PCV hose.

Good video, no need to remove strut bar, just remove the engine cover (and leave off) and then get at it!
I would just leave that engine cover off, without it the engine will dissipate heat more effectively. Plus it looks better without it. 👍
I love the early 16-bit Sonic music, really adds some GOTTAGOFAST!!!!11 atmosphere.
Your demonstrations are appreciated. Safety should be the first step beginning with safety glasses.
I hope you know that's not a "hose" that you're relocating when you remove or reinstall the strut tower brace.
Uhh since the 2018 Coyote is port and direct injection which the combination basically self cleans the intake valves. Why do you need this?
Jeff C that's exactly what I was thinking and you just said it for me Thanks
I appreciate this line of questioning. I thought this might be something I'd want to add to my new '18. Your comment has me wondering. I know next to nothing about oil separation, nor how the port and direct clean themselves. I know they are a good thing, but didn't realize they self cleaned.
Can you elaborate, without taking too much of your personal time to explain. I can look it up. Just appreciate a more direct answer from a Mustang user/owner.
Jeff Swanitz Right i was going to buy one for my 18 GT too but i recently watched scotty kilmers "Why the 2018 GT is worth $43,000" which he mentions it briefly and Savagegeese's more indepth video and explanation with animations about direct injection (or port injection) which totally makes sense. If your car has direct injection you need a catch can - no doubt. But this is unnecessary for direct and port injection engines when you watch the videos. Hope this helps.
the Savagegeese explanation was perfect! Thanks for sharing that.
Will it also prevent my shift forks from snapping?
Top job mate
I like to buy aJLT Separat but no luck in Sydney Australia
Doesnt work with a roush supercharger. Theres a 3rd oil lije leading to the back of the engine
You would be correct! JLT makes a different version for TVS setups. -Justin
