- This year has been horrible for ice making weather around by us so far, so I traveled to find it! I decided to target Lake Nokomis for this ice fishing adventure. I had never fished it before so the research went down and we came home successful after only two quick nights of fishing.
While I didn't get that much footage of all of the fish we iced, I did get some, and some of it was "usable". Guess someone should have been prepared for night fishing with his camera equipment... oh well.
Here's a few fish and the equipment all used within! Hope you guys enjoy it as you will see, I was like a kid in a candy shop finally getting fish (eyes) back into my hands! Its been too long. I'll soon be back out on the bago system with a new vid so be sure to subscribe and follow the Facebook page for updates!
On a side note, thanks to Aquatic Arts in Tomahawk for the ice report I received when I stopped in there. While I couldn't make it to any of Cole's suggested spots, their minnows stayed alive in the bait station!
Tight Lines. Stay Dry.

Love to see you tackle some whitefish this season. Some of the best headshaking action ive experienced. Great video as always. Keep up the good work!
Thanks. I might be up to that. Time will tell. Gotta get me out on the bago system ASAP! Haha.
+OB Outdoors hopefully in the next 2 weeks.
Thank you very much, keep up the show I love it!
+Jordan Kuske Thanks Jordan.
Awesome vid! I'm originally from Minocqua (not too much further north from where you were). They are right when they say "tip-up country". Great video!
Thanks Tyler. After this little trip and all the flags I got, man do I miss tipup fishing!
Awesome vid Kyle!
Thanks Cole.
My name is Ben and I'm 12. I love watching your videos and I have been a sub a little before 950. I'm from Neenah Wisconsin and I go fishing with my grandpa on Bago and in Winniconne. I mostly fish for walleyes and perch. Maybe sometime we can go fishing together and I'm planning to go fishing in Canada this summer so sometime you should go fishing in Canada. Thanks Ben
Thanks Ben! I started fishing with my grandpa all the time when I was little and learned a lot from him about fishing. My mom also took me to my fishing holes too quite a bit. I love fishing in Winneconne. Maybe sometime we can fish the bridge. Tight Lines. Stay Dry. - Kyle
Yeah Sam!
How much ice was up there, thinking of going this weekend!
+Jordan Kuske 4-6" in most places, however, I found a wet spot that the spud went through with the first crack. Good luck if you go.
You ever wanna come up again i could take ya to some spots
Saw your truck at noffke's today. Do any good? We marked a ton but no takers. -Zach
Pics are on the FB page now and will have a full report up soon. It was a long walk but it was worth it!
How far off bottom are you tip ups?
I kept moving them to different depths. 6"-2' off bottom.
Just got a few of those frabill tip ups. It'd be sweet if you could do a video on some tips and tricks to rigging and setting them.
+Bacon Fry I have a ton of clips on that and can probably make a video off just that from what I have from the trip. I just wanted to keep this video down in length as I had a lot of talking in it and could only use a fraction of my fish clips due to quality.
great work bud. see ya soon I'm sure.
Thanks Corey. Yea it's almost that time of the year again... Or wait... It is!
I hear ya. can't believe this weather.
where did you stay while there
Private cabin.
What kind of tip up alarm do you have there. I have searched everywhere and i cant find any.
+Lake Wisconsin Outdoors They are Strike Sensors. They are listed in the "Equipment Corner" portion of the video towards the end.
