I wasn't expecting to stay for an hour-long webinar on gemstones, yet here I am at the end! The power of pretty shinies, perfect pacing, and incredibly easy-to-understand explanations/diagrams/examples compels me!

This video has completely changed my perspective on inclusions. I always saw them as flaws, but now, I appreciate them so much more for what they tell you and see they can actually make the stone much more desirable and beautiful. Thank you!!

Awesome thank you for being so clear on what is what with these gemstones! I am a complete newbie, which will become more obvious as I open my mouth,I'm sure. So apologies in advance! The information can be varied, depending on the source,I'm discovering! So thank you for this instruction that holds to consistent standards. You have taught me more in the course of this video than I was able to glean from multiple books! Also it was great to hear the names of stones and their variations pronounced correctly. As I have only been learning from books up to this point, and I have discovered that pronouncing these mineral names does not come naturally to me! Lol! Certainly, without doubt, you have saved me from ridicule, going forward. I can just imagine the embarrassment I would have faced,if I had referred to a cabochon as a caw-bo-chawn!! I shudder! So thank you, sincerely!

48:19 According to the G.I.A., any Quartz that has needles of Actinolite, Tourmaline or Rutile in it is called Variety: Sagenitic.
Calling Quartz "Rutilated" or "Tourmalinated" is using a TRADE NAME, and therefore inaccurate. This mistake that would make a student fail a G.I.A. 20 Stone Final Exam... what more will they say that is incorrect?
