Having watched Matt's content for close to a decade now, I really respect his honesty. It seems like he's becoming more 'good with himself', which is a beautiful thing. What a kickass car too!
After spending a couple thousand miles in my 03 Vanquish during and around Car Trek 2, I have to say there is a lot to love about the car. The transmission is certainly not among those things. I can imagine the car is truly brilliant as a stick.
This is the first time I have EVER seen Matt not come off as a pompous, entitled, arrogant know-it-all. Either he's maturing or Ed simply has a gift in sharing his humility.
Thank to Matt Farah for sharing his privilege and very cool car with an incredible story in an appropriate way. This is how a person with a passion needs to speak. Cheers!!
Glad Matt's being a bit more honest about his "comfortable" upbringing... Always seemed to rub me the wrong way when he acted like just a "normal" guy and self made. I can respect him more for just saying, yes my daddy was rich and I like cars...
Love the actual video clips you’ve done in this video and the f40 video the other day. Always cool to be able to understand what these guys are talking about and hear it too
You're talking about an Aston and I'm drooling over the Blue VW Fox Wagon next to it at 2:35. I used to have one of those that a wealthy friend of mine had had made track ready. Mostly stock engine, but crazy suspension and brakes and racing buckets. It would lift a wheel in hard turns. Controlled understeered like a dream. I could beat Porsches in it as long as it was downhill so the engine didn't matter. Wish I'd never sold it.
yes. one of those newer watch co.’s use to be a sponsor in some of the older “one take” videos. can’t remember which one. dunno if they still are. but yah he stylish for sure lol
Actually, Matt got me into the watch collecting hobby. Needless to say he has impeccable taste, and I can only imagine his reaction to Ed's Vincero ad plugs - truly anathema to any watch enthusiast.
Mat has grown a ton since his early years on YT. takes a lot to admit the privilege he had being Roger Farah's son but he's made himself his own path to success
I wonder what that Manual conversion costs from Aston Martin? It probably made the car way way better. Personally, I think the DBS from Casino Royale is the prettiest Bond car after the classic DB5 though, of course.
just cause he prefaces all his bragging with "my white privilege is showing through" doesn't make him humble. he's bragging on 2 fronts with that line.
Farrah needs to stop apologizing that his parents were more successful than someone else's parents and instead just try to stop being a tool in general
You ever spoke with him? Had the pleasure of doing business with him directly a couple years back, super nice guy. He could have been like most children of wealth who are lazy party animals who burn out in their 40's, but dude hustled hard and here he is, doing what he loves... while you complain.
@@Thermosmcjug I think its great he hustles, and does what he loves. I think its stupid for people to apologize that their relatives were more successful than most.
Ralph & some fashion photographer (named Ziggy I think) are friends with friends of ours. David Schwimmer approached at dinner to talk with them. Fun story
He’s been pretty open about it for a long time. You gotta give the dude credit where it’s due though, he’s been doing his own thing and not relying on his old man as much as some people would be.

This Aston Martin Vanquish might be one of the most beautiful cars ever built and it’s from a time where beauty wasn’t the standard.
That body style is timeless.
A time when their definition of beauty was definitely not the standard today

I would. Wouldn’t you?
Great comment, Clif! 👍
You know what they say about a man with big feet... he probably has to take his shoes off to shift his Aston.
Exactly what they say!
How sweet it would be to get a car from Ralph Lauren. Dudes awesome

You have a new video for us today? Hoping to see your F250 get fixed up or the lotus soon
@R NJF you know he speaks Russian right? He did all the research into Hoovie his Bentley and later bought it and fixed it I believe!
@R NJF That's not really talked about, but I'm pretty sure it's like family of him and he picked it up from there. Not a fact tho
let me guess, were you taking measurements to do the conversion on yours lol
