Hi, this is a wonderful reaction to one of my favourite artists. I was first introduced to him, unknowingly, when I heard him on a transistor radio in about 1970, with his hit Space Oddity. It was only a number of years later that my much older half-brother shared his collection of albums with me and I was instantly hooked. This was from his "Blue-eyed Soul" period, in which he made several albums of just that, with a lot of other creative elements added. This was from the Station to Station album, which is full of incredible tunes. Note the short hair and suit, a great contrast to the then-still-prevalent shaggy-hippy aesthetic of most pop and rock artists. This was Bowie yet again setting the fashion ahead of its time, as very shortly thereafter the "new wave" movement would make itself known and basically spend the next fifteen years trying to be David Bowie.
Seems effortless but there is so much put into this song you find something new every time you listen to it.......great reaction to a classic Bowie song.
He's tipsy and coked-up so his lipsyncing isn't up to snuff, but his vocal performance on that record is mindblowing. There was a Stephen King based TV show in the 90s that used this song as its theme.
He was one of the best vocalists with a four-five octave range. Always sang in the background vocals too because he could change his voice up so much. This was lip synced and he really wanted to sing live.

This song is one of the highlights of A Knight’s Tale starring Heath Ledger.
It’s one of my favorite Bowie songs. Always puts me in a good mood.
A knights tale is good movie, but the brilliance is how they use the soundtrack in this movie, also "we will rock you" comes to mind.
Great stuff, great reaction
Something you might be interested in,is David Bowie on an episode of Extras with Ricky Gervais, really funny.

nice, this was a song that Bowie wanted to give to Elvis Presley, but nothing came of it !
Your words are really good actually, don't stop rambling....!
