U.S. Military are required to carry a form of ID known as a common access card wherever they go. This is usually accepted to order drinks and is a valid way to present identification. This Bartender in Missouri doesn't believe it is real and starts to destroy the ID and also tells them the military hasn't done anything in years.

He attempted it with "lemme call my boys who have been to Afghanistan"
Yes, 🤦🏾♀️.
That man isn’t sorry. He’s sorry bec he lost his spot in the band and he’s put on blast for disrespecting the military. That’s why he’s sorry
FTG he ain't sorry!
I seriously doubt the band had trash like that as a member and didn't know how he was. My bets are on the whole band are a bunch of ignorant ***ks who all share the same character defects. They just don't want to lose out on the tens of dollars they make doing club gigs
@@troykoski6356 I can’t agree with that. I personally don’t play. But my core group of friends growing up where in different bands and I got to meet a lot of band members and aspiring bands. There is such a massive gap in personality in that business. At a certain point it seems to be that the members are brought in due to their talent rather than their ideology. Which is why volatility among bands is so high. They come they go and more often than not their personality differences are what cause most bands too split.
You don't know that. You're just guessing
Exactly he’s just trying to save his spot in the band. Being drunk doesn’t make you say things you haven’t thought before.
Something similar happened to me once. Back in the days of the green active duty I.D. cards, I went to a bar with a couple of my civilian friends. The waitress, took one look at my Military ID and said, "This is not a real ID." And after telling her that it was issued to me by the Federal Government, she still refused to accept it. I then asked her to have bartender look at the card, and to make the final call.
"Is this a real ID?" She asked the bartender.
"Yeah, it's a military ID, perfectly legal." He replied.
She then walks back to me with the beer I ordered, "We're going to accept it 'This time!'"
My response to her, "Well don't do me any fucking favors, I heard what the bartender told you."
I had a liquor store in good ol' Floreeduh not accept my 20yrs active retiree mil ID for a purchase. They said it wasn't a "legal" form of identification. Um. Pretty sure my Federal ID trumps a questionably secure state ID.....
Lol good response
In 1993 I was home on leave from the Navy (with a photo exempt ID). My mistake was going to a beer tent at a concert that was being staffed by someone in the Indiana national guard. He refused me because my ID didn't have my birthdate ON MY PHOTO. He also refused my license. I had to go to a different beer tent.
"We're gonna allow it this time" like holy shit the audacity of that bitch is insane😂
You handed her your ID to walk away with?
Sounds like the local base command should put this bar on the "off limits" list for a while.
That would be my recommendation. It's really amazing how fast a business will clean up its act when that happens and they lose a big chunk of their core business.

As a Veteran, I was saddened at the blatant disrespect showed to these service members. Excesses in alcohol does not grant license or excuse to conduct oneself in this way. Some people just need to stay in pocket and STFU. What a jerk.

It’s actually a crime to destroy a military ID unless you are authorized.
Either a Felony or minimum "high-grade" misdemeanor. Call the cops and if he attempts to leave conduct a Citizen's Arrest if you are able. Your military ID is an inspectable item that is always on your person. I applaud these servicemembers for not knocking this bartender out. Cause I could never hold my patience for as long as they did, if this man damaged my ID.
This is when you take your 1st Sgt up on his safety briefing "Drunk ride home get out of jail free card" and have him catch the murder case for you you Lol.
Military IDs are protected goverment documents and are also protected under the 1663 Protection of Government Property Act - Protection of Public Records and Documents. These are the types of conduct that are prohibited. Concealment, unauthorized removal, mutilation, obliteration or destruction and unauthorized possession. Any person who willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, falsifie or destroys and found in violation shall be fined not more than $2000 or imprisoned not more than three years or both. Taking someones Military ID and refusing to give it back, which is theft, then mutilating it by bending it basically estroying the military ID, is a Federal crime. My dad was in the military. When I was a teenager, I volunteered for a two-week humanitarian project in Mexico. When we arrived to the Texas-Mexico (at the town of Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico), I realized that I had left my state-issued driver's license back at home (and I have no idea how or why). I was so afraid that I was going to need a bus to take me home. However, I still had my military dependent ID. Even at the Mexican border, the ID was accepted. Apparently, the pompous bartender in this video wasn't as astute with his knowledge of United States military IDs as a seasoned old immigration clerk at a border crossing in Ojinaga, Mexico.
💀
To be fair, that Immigration Officer was also issued a federal ID, they mostly look very similar so he was probably familiar with what a dependent card looked like
Let's remember that he wasn't a real bartender. He was a drunk band member that wanted to play bartender.
The Active and Retired Military ID cards were changed out / replaced several years ago, my laminated Retired ID card (No expiration date) had to be replaced by one that looks much like my Virginia Driver's License, this was done service wide and caused some serious confusion in the civilian community among those who "Know what an ID is supposed to look like." This incident may have occurred after that change with the dummass bartender not getting the word (probably ignored it.)
The worst thing is is he was never arrested for it the cops refused to press charges to arrest him. But the bar is now off-limits to all servicemen and when out of business a few months later

Please call in your military buddies, so I can see their military IDs. *I wish to identify who are these service members of the Armed Services who are assisting this cop, civilian, whoever he is, to commit several federal, state, county and municipal crimes against an unknown number of government employees*
@@davidscbirdsall something tells me this dude is gonna run into a few devil dogs and grunts who simply do not give af one day.
@B B They’re doing so illegally. Federal and state privacy laws prohibit the collection of someone’s identification without their knowledge and consent. If you collect information that can be used to specifically identify or impersonate them, the law also makes it your responsibility to maintain security and authorized use/transfer of that information and provide reparations for unauthorized access or use of that information.
Besides, you don’t need to record their identification. You already have their credit card information with the matching name, address, and telephone number and email address of the authorized user which was used to make the reservation. If another credit card is used at checkin, hotels usually make the person handing over the card provide the information required to authorize the card and sign a form with the information and permission for the hotel to keep and use the information. This is usually done by asking for ID and the clerk typing in information from the ID into the booking system. Which is legal because your not creating a photocopy of the ID. Hotels can make a copy of a credit card without their consent as it doesn’t identify the user. This is what we used to do at my hotel when it was handed over for authorization, but that’s no longer necessary. Now, smart-chipped cards provide proof to the bank and payment processor that a card was at a specific card reader, and the reader can be integrated with the hotel booking systems to keep copies of that authorization along with the information transcribed form one or more IDs. If the card presented is a debit card or a secure credit card, someone must also punch in the pin. We also had cameras situated to show someone’s arrival, checkin, and movement to the assigned room/suite/villa. Most reservation systems track IP addresses and email headers and tie that into the hotel booking system as well. We did all of this in case someone disputed the use of a card or a charge. We could show the bank or payment processing provider the series steps of the entire process someone took to book a stay, reserve a room, arrive at the location, occupy the room/suite/villa, and create charges.
Hotels really didn’t care who is renting the room as long as they have enough authorization to charge a certain amount to the account linked to the cards. There have been times I’ve had to charge the card provided at checkin, the card provided for reservation, and another card provided by the guest or their relative, friend, visitor in order to cover all the charges for a stay or visit.
@B B true..... Because under US federal law it is illegal as hell to photocopy, seize, or "hold on to" a DOD, Federal civil employee, or federal contractor ID.
As these cards contain US government access information.
@B B During my time in the Navy I have gone to several hotels/motels none have asked to copy my military ID

There is a book titled RealID that any bartender has behind the bar that has example IDs from all 50 states, Canada, South America, and sometimes even common European ids in it. I worked in Texas and most of the time company policy was that if I ever got an ID that wasn’t a Texas state ID, you would bring the book and ID to a manager to get a second set of eyes on it for verification. The real ID book has speed bumps to check for. Most states, for example, use a portrait orientation for anyone under 21, and a landscape orientation for IDs issued to persons over 21.
We never kept or mutilated IDs. Even if it’s fake you don’t have the right to keep it. I always thanked military members for their service. If I got a military ID and had any doubts I would casually ask them their MoS while looking at it.
Fun fact: All IDs have some sort of fast check/counterfeit protection. In the state of Texas, the first “I”in drivers license on the back of the ID isn’t dotted. It’s a hard script to replicate on fakes.

I was in the Navy and never experienced that. I lost my ID once, maybe twice and got one immediately after being escorted my a 2nd class or above.

as ex-Navy in the 60's I would like to state a couple facts about our IDs - you cannot get back on base without that ID - also depending on the Guard standing at the gate you also cannot leave the base without it if they as for it - I had my wallet stolen twice on this one ship and I was stuck on base/shipyard for over a week until someone was able to take me to another base to get a new ID - the second time I was on the base in Key West and had a Car I had to get back to the owner of it in Miami - I was lucky and was allowed to drive off the base without being asked for the ID but it took several hours to get back on Base when I came back - I had to wait at the guard shack for my Chief to drive in from home and take me through the gate to the ship - I think he drunk should be charged for destroying government property just as I would if I destroyed my ID - Most people do not know that when in the military you are government property yourself and could be charged for destroying government property just for getting a tattoo that gets infected if you did not have approval to get the tattoo - when I was in you also needed permission from your commanding officer just to get married -
Had a bartender refuse my friend service because "military ID's aren't accepted forms of identification"... Needless to say we posted a scathing review of the business and they're about to close now.
Some company policies dont allow it. Mine, we are REQUIRED to scan the ID (all it does is give us the pertinent info, just name, birthdate, and expiration, no copy is kept) as we are not able to scan military IDs, we cannot accept them. If I worked in a bar and not delivery service, yes, I'd accept then no question. I will explain that we are not set up to accept then, check to make sure they are 21 or over, and ask 1, if they have a state ID, or 2, is there someone else who has a state ID who can accept delivery.
Dont give me an attitude about it, or you can enjoy paying a 50 percent restocking fee as I refuse the order.
Military ID's are a valid form of ID.
@@thelvadam2375 It may be valid but it doesn't have to be accepted. The guy just explained why the policy is as it is.

@Jimmy T You sure about that? How many years have you been a police officer?
That military base needs to ban soldiers from going there.
Normally, the Base Commander can order a "Blacklisting" of establishments and then it would be Off Limits to All Military Personnel.
Military members and family member not allowed in places the Base Commander bans...that's a lotta lost 💰.
Order 66
Around 2000-2006 (probably way longer than that but that's the times I last knew/went) a club was blacklisted in Fayetteville- ft Bragg.
There were many fights that broke out there when civilians intermingled with air force folks when Pope Air was here as well as army soldiers ft. Bragg & college students. The college students were mixed in & would disrupt those dancing with the Qs or Kappas doing their line dances busting up the flow.
The club had very high patronage by the army population. So to make it where all military could come, the club changed its name but remained at the same address;
Carolina live
NC Live
Club 910
Carolina 910
Were the few aliases the club changed its name to so that they could continue to allow the military to come in by "technically" being "different" than the names blacklisted prohibiting soldiers from coming.

I was a member of the board of a VFW that ran a bar (until the state of MA put us out of business by forcing a wage we could no longer afford to pay to any employees). There was a sign at the entrance behind the bar specifically stating EMPLOYEES ONLY allowed behind the bar. Even as a member of the board that ran the bar, I and several other members were NOT allowed behind the bar or to touch any alcohol we did not purchase as customers. How is this LOTO lounge still in business? I'm not sure why people think that including the fact that they were drunk mitigates their behaviour. On top of that being drunk does not create behavior or thoughts that didn't previously exist.
