I love how off the hook marina sounds like she’s out of breath sometimes and they’re just having fun whereas the squid sisters act super professional since they’ve been preforming for longer, such a cool detail!
They're also from different performance traditions. Callie and Marie adhere to the precisely choreographed Japanese Idol culture, while Pearl and Marina have more of a loose American Pop-Rock style. Notably when they're on stage together, Marina moves more towards the Squid Sisters' style, while Callie goes a little wild with Pearl. It's great.

I like how Callie and Marie’s songs are more on the Pop side of things and they have synchronized dancing like it was rehearsed to make it perfect while Pearl and Marina’s music is more hip-hop/techno with rap and they’re dancing looks like they made it up in the spot and going with the flow.

the musicians definitely should have more credit for their performances, they deserve more than they they get. However, a lot more goes into these holo-idol concerts than you think. To talk about just the musicians and the idols performances would only be scratching the surface. There’s also the sound engineers making sure everything sounds right during the whole thing, the lighting technicians ensuring that all the lights function as they should, the animators that move the characters before the concert, and that’s not even counting the mile long checklists that entail all of the small details that even one thing going wrong can cause a chain reaction that would ruin the whole concert. All of this (mind you) has to be synced perfectly in order the create a good performance. And if not everything is in sync, there’s bound to be something not seeming right in the performances. This can be a whole Marriott of problems (which I’m not gonna get into here), but they have to get it right the first time during the event, that’s why you’re often gonna find that these concerts are practiced months in advanced until the day they perform in front of an audience. I hope you all have a greater appreciation for how much goes Into making these idol concerts happen, it’s really quite commendable what the people who organize these events go through to make them possible.

Linch, exactly, who knew? Many of the Splatoon community heard that theme a year prior of Animal Crossing: New Horizons release, and didn't even know it.
The Splatoon music is something that will always leave something in my heart, the gut feeling I get when I listen to the music. It drags me back to the game, even if im bored or tired of it. So I hope in the next game Nintendo keeps that going with the music and it becomes even more memorable. The Squid Sisters and Off the Hook will always leave something in my heart. I’m not even talking about their Japanese names (which I don’t know please tell me), I’m talking about their actual names. Now I know, I know, what they say is actually gibberish, but what they say and what the text says can actually give us what their name would be. First, and most disappointingly, Callie’s name can not be extrapolated. From what she says it’s just too much to determine what her name is, given that we don’t know how the (nonexistent) grammar works. 30:25 Edit: With Callie’s other introductions from other shows, “Wo ska wo ska!” Seems to be a greeting. Her name is in the second sentence. “There are so many words, which could it be?” You may ask. In her other introductions and times her name has been mentioned, only one of those words has been consistent. Callie’s true name. The one and only... Tyu. “Wo ska wo ska! Hekwoska Tyu!” Wo ska wo ska = Great to see you all Hekwoska = Squid Sisters (probably a pun combining the words squid and sister) Second is Marie. In her introduction at 30:28 she says “Shi Kezu.” And the text says “And I’m Marie!” This means her name is either Shi or Kezu, and I have determined that her actual name is Kezu due to something I will go over in the next paragraph. Third is Pearl. At 26:03 she says “Sh’ Kess!” Which reads “And I’m Pearl!” Given the Shi in Marie’s introduction, that means that Shi is an introductory word, and Pearl’s real name is Kess. Literally this concert is more than twice as long as most other concerts. That means the Splatoon 3 concerts will be even longer, as they would have to feature songs from both the Squid Sisters and Off the Hook as well as the new Splatoon 3 idols. I literally cried when I saw the Squid Sisters sing and dance Fresh Start. The person who proposed the Splatoon live concerts deserves all the love and respect from all over the world😍😍😭
On the outside, I'm screaming because my favorite characters are performing on stage in front of people. *On the inside, I'm crying with joy because of how good the concert and choreography is.*

@@galaxydoes8034 animalese is genuinely a language. the way it works is that animal crossing animals make a noise for every letter/symbol in a word and unlike what people think, it isn't random beeps. that is why some words and names are pronounced correctly. my name, in game name Gravy, gets translated to "guh rah ah va yah" and is always said this way when it comes up in dialogue. my real name, kevin, becomes "ka eh va i n" which when said at speed in game sounds exactly like my name. if you pay attention to the animals, you can make out what they are saying.

I love how even though she is a digital character still pearl gives it her all
the musicians definitely should have more credit for their performances, they deserve more than they they get.
However, a lot more goes into these holo-idol concerts than you think. To talk about just the musicians and the idols performances would only be scratching the surface.
There’s also the sound engineers making sure everything sounds right during the whole thing, the lighting technicians ensuring that all the lights function as they should, the animators that move the characters before the concert, and that’s not even counting the mile long checklists that entail all of the small details that even one thing going wrong can cause a chain reaction that would ruin the whole concert.
All of this (mind you) has to be synced perfectly in order the create a good performance. And if not everything is in sync, there’s bound to be something not seeming right in the performances. This can be a whole Marriott of problems (which I’m not gonna get into here), but they have to get it right the first time during the event, that’s why you’re often gonna find that these concerts are practiced months in advanced until the day they perform in front of an audience.
I hope you all have a greater appreciation for how much goes Into making these idol concerts happen, it’s really quite commendable what the people who organize these events go through to make them possible.
And! Their voice actors, or actually I should say the artists themselves!

I'd love to go to a concert like this. Every element amazes me including the lights, the music, the HOLOGRAMS. Just being able to see fictional characters come to life and perform sounds like such a dream come true

The Splatoon music is something that will always leave something in my heart, the gut feeling I get when I listen to the music. It drags me back to the game, even if im bored or tired of it. So I hope in the next game Nintendo keeps that going with the music and it becomes even more memorable. The Squid Sisters and Off the Hook will always leave something in my heart. I hope that is the same for everyone else who played splatoon for the years it has existed, and the years to come. goodbye, splatoon 1 & 2.

Callie, Marie, Pearl, and Marina are their English names, yes, but have you ever wondered what their actual in-universe names are? I’m not even talking about their Japanese names (which I don’t know please tell me), I’m talking about their actual names.
Now I know, I know, what they say is actually gibberish, but what they say and what the text says can actually give us what their name would be.
First, and most disappointingly, Callie’s name can not be extrapolated. From what she says it’s just too much to determine what her name is, given that we don’t know how the (nonexistent) grammar works.

Edit: With Callie’s other introductions from other shows, “Wo ska wo ska!” Seems to be a greeting. Her name is in the second sentence. “There are so many words, which could it be?” You may ask. In her other introductions and times her name has been mentioned, only one of those words has been consistent. Callie’s true name. The one and only...

Third is Pearl. At 26:03 she says “Sh’ Kess!” Which reads “And I’m Pearl!” Given the Shi in Marie’s introduction, that means that Shi is an introductory word, and Pearl’s real name is Kess.
And last is Marina. At 25:50 pearl says one word, and her text box reads “Marina!” This means that Marina’s name can be nothing except what she said: Pfina.
Anyway, I’m reading far too much into the nonexistent language of the cephalopods, and these names aren’t even used in the many other times that the text reads their names, but it doesn’t matter.
Edit: I just got done scrubbing through other concerts, and Pearl still introduces herself with sh’ Kess in a different voice line introduction, and Marina introduced herself as Pfina, so +points for consistency.

Literally this concert is more than twice as long as most other concerts. That means the Splatoon 3 concerts will be even longer, as they would have to feature songs from both the Squid Sisters and Off the Hook as well as the new Splatoon 3 idols.
I literally cried when I saw the Squid Sisters sing and dance Fresh Start. The person who proposed the Splatoon live concerts deserves all the love and respect from all over the world😍😍😭
Bankalive (the new Deep Cut concert next month) is going to be the longest yet, but will only feature Shiver, Frye, Big Man, and K. K. Slider.

God the concerts are seriously a whole new level they all sound truly amazing, for just making up a whole new language of gibberish and somehow make fantastic music will never fail to amaze me.
And to think the butterfly effect followed us to witness Such Amazingless was truly: splatoon Being a wiiu exclusive game, as well as splatoon2 being a launch title for the switch.
