(Poland was occupied then) The French brought Poles to Haiti, deceitfully claiming that they were to eliminate the rebellion in prisons, but this was untrue, it was a freedom movement, an uprising against the French. History mentions it differently, but most Poles, when they found out the truth, joined the insurgents. Unknown History.
