Hallo Hello, I'm Polish, I've already watched a lot of your videos and I think they're very good 💪👍 The worst thing in the history of WW2, apart from the death of many millions of people, is also the betrayal of the allies and the way we Poles were treated. I don't know if you know, all the armies that fought the British, the French and many others were invited to the celebrations at the end of WW2. Unfortunately, no Polish representative was invited. That says a lot... they did their job and now go away, that's how I feel. The truth is that Churchill was afraid of Stalin and not only him. Speaking today's language, he didn't have the balls to stand up to Stalin like Poles, for example. There's a lot to say... Good luck and lots of fun 😃
There is a really good quote from Polish Squadron's 303 commander, John Kent (Canadian ace appointed as a commander of a squadron by RAF) that shows how resilient and ferocious Polish fighters were after the aftermath of the first day of the Battle of England and saw a bombed city. "I could see the fires that the Luftwaffe had started on this first raid on London. I had not realized I could feel so deeply, but at that moment I would have butchered any German I could lay my hand on. I was beginning to understand the attitude of the Poles." From different account you can paint a rather grim, but clear picture: Most British pilots tried to disable the machine. Poles wanted to destroy the pilot, annihilate him from the face of the Earth. They didn't stop until either they or their enemy was dead. Not injured, not out of battle. He had to be dead. There's one more quote from him: "I cannot say how proud I am to have been privileged to help form and lead No. 303 squadron and later to lead such a magnificent fighting force as the Polish Wing. There formed within me in those days an admiration, respect and genuine affection for these really remarkable men which I have never lost. I formed friendship that are as firm as they were those twenty-five years ago and this I find most gratifying. We who were privileged to fly and fight with them will never forget and Britain must never forget how much she owes to the loyalty indomitable spirit and sacrifice of those Polish fliers. They were our staunchest Allies in our darkest days; may they always be remembered as such!"
Every time im watching this i got chills all over my body and im cry like a kid, im so proud of my Grandfathers, one of them got killed by soviets after war and secound was captured by nazis but he survive. I got 43 years old right now and all this thing happennig just 37 years before i was born.
Thank You for the reaction. My mothers family was killed by the Germans at the beginning of the war. As a kid age 3 she was in hiding throu the war becouse she had a Jewish-saunding name. My fathers family was killed by the soviets becouse they were Polisch officers. Some in combat, some ware captured & killed in Katyń massacre, my father age 12 was schipped in a cattle car to Siberia as a slave. He had a burning, glowing red hatred for the Russians. And the things he vitnessed would get YT to delete my comment.
Our history is long and painful. But it is worthy of attention and deeper interest. The main tool for fighting was the great heart and power of the Polish spirit. I recommend listening to our National Anthem and the song called ROTA. Thank you for your attention.
