When he did the high pitch screams live I remember literally being like WHAT THE FUCK?! I told him afterwards that it's bad ass, he said "Takes a lot of push" lol
Gotta love Lessard's stage presence. I saw them live and it still sends chills up my spine by watching Mike on stage like that.
Love how the drummer always looks like he's just in the fucking zone - like he's asleep and his limbs just take over lmao. Most relaxed groove face I've ever seen he just looks so chilled out
OMG that scream @ 06:18 and 06:26 caught me off guard, he didn't give us that at the Houston show, that was awesome.
Saw him yesterday and he did it a couple of times during the set. Each time people were looking at each other like wtf did he really just do that
That high pitched screaming at 6:12 gives me goosebumps.

Yeah that clown. By the comments below it seems that I'm not alone in my disdain for that guy (more so him kinda ruining the show than the dude himself).
I commend that guy's passion for the band actually, better than over half of the audience staring at their phones at most gigs these days.

Only Michael can out perform his own recorded vocals live; unbelievable. This is truly a timeless and monumental progressive metal album and deserves far more recognition than it has gotten. It’s genius both vocally and musically start to finish.

I have never seen an audience member ruin something quite so efficiently. Is he proud he knows the words or something? Is he confident that his "harmony" could add to the show? Like how do you embarrass yourself thaat much?
Haha, just saw this- the reason they're a little shaky at the end is because Joey comes in early with the dotted eight note figure at 7:59. The album version does that guitar part 4 times before the chorus comes in, but Joey entered early so I'm guessing their click track for the rest of the song got messed up... yet they still played better than most bands out there ;)
I thought I was the only person that noticed. Props for finishing the song. They were a bit shakey during the part 2 as well. Bet they're tight as hell after over a year playing the small stuff though.

I don't find the long guitarist hair blowing in the wind to be cool any more, little too 80's. Regardless, The Contortionist is still the greatest band ever in my eyes... (ears). Also, that kid who was singing (screaming) in the audience completely ruined the feel of the show, which is part of the reason I don't like going to live shows anymore.
I don't think they have air blowing on them because it looks cool. I think it's because it's really hot on stage.
Oh of course, I know that, I was just commenting on how it looks, it caught my eye and reminded me of 80's flamboyance, kind of tainted the "contortionist" vibe a little.

I think it's more just so his hair isn't in his face. Sweaty hair on stage sticks to your face and is VERY annoying
I'll reiterate, I'm not one to bash on The Contortionist, they are my favorite band hands down, I was just commenting on the long guitarist hair thing, im positive he didn't do it on purpose to look cool, but I saw it happening, and it caught my attention, in a goofy 80's hair band kinda way.
