I’ve loved a more minimalist style for the past few years but have really enjoyed recently mixing things up with preppy, boho and eclectic styles. It makes dressing much more fun!

Keeping my minimalist, classic style no matter what our fashion culture says! When I wear pattern of any kind I feel gaudy, frumpy & matronly. Love statement pieces in solid, neutral colors, tho!
Since I dropped 4 sizes over 2 years and had to buy an all new wardrobe, I started over with a neutral capsule wardrobe consisting of versatile classics that "never go out of style." So much for that I guess! 😭😂
To each their own. The only thing that's out of style for me is following fashion trends. As long as wearing clothing is a part of our social contract, I will be doing so in a way that is fun and expresses my personality.
I'm 67. I will be looking for: - fun laces for my white and for my black sneakers. I think sneakers are so great for older women, I also wear them in combination with maxi dresses. - Sheer blouses or with one or more sheer inserts. Just bought a black sheer blouse (silk with a minimal touch of elastane), looks so elegant. Now searching for a white one.I think sheer materials are very good if you don't want to show your arms (I do but many in age don't). Of course I will wear a top under this blouse. - I will sew one or more pieces with stripes in interesting directions. Got already some jerseys for these projects at home. - A top/blouse/dress with an interesting multicolor stripe print can also look good on not so young women. - Some, not too much ruffles in combination with jeans or jeans look-alike.
Nicely presented; you always do great videos. Most of us can't pull these styles off though. They, IMO, are geared more to the teens and 20's age category. But not to worry as these styles will fade faster than they can even catch on.

I am a minimalist. I don’t like, on myself, ruffles, puffs, loud prints, sparkles, too much skin and such. Lots of embellishments make clothing look cheap most of the time in my opinion. I will continue to wear my classic quality pieces with confidence. Confidence is always on trend. I will style things a little differently and add some modern accessories to keep things fresh.

All black maxi slip dress with sheer black overlay...it is minimalist in color and style, but with a nod to the sheer trend and involves no additional purchases. BINGO! I love the mockneck top and skirt, something I would wear if I were a little younger. I finally bought a denim jacket and now they're not on trend. I will also, always wear my Ked's style white sneakers.
Even if it is not on trend you should still wear it just style it a little differently! And don't ever get rid of a classic denim jacket, they always are good classics and come in and out as a trend.
I mostly a minimalist it just is so much more practical for putting together outfits and season to season. I don’t think a white button up shirt will ever go anywhere.
It's less expensive (and, imo elegant) to dress minimally. These clothes are items that can't mix and match with other clothes. The fashion world wants us spend, and fortunately I'm not tempted with anything that's in the video. I'll just keep wearing my neutral basics.
At times I have to wonder- when trending items or their presentations are SO far out there as to look borderline ridiculous, I start to wonder if someone in that chain really doesn't like women? Sounds weird I know, but why at times do some of the trends look so foolish? Just a random thought...
I've always preferred more classic pieces in my wardrobe. I'm in my early 70's, so I'll keep that classic trend going,but maybe will add in some fresher accent pieces. The different striped pieces I would definitely wear! I love stripes.

Looks like the fashion industry is trying to get everyone to throw away their current wardrobe and buy new. I won’t be doing that since I will not add to the excess clothing in the waste system. I did buy a faux fir jacket which will go well with tweeds, corduroy, jeans and, of course, a white shirt. I do enjoy your videos and watch all of them. Claire

I like both maximalism and minimalism depending on the day. I have switched my basics to classic higher end basics. Items that don't really go out of style and will last more than a season. I can do maximalism when starting with classic basics. And if I'm feeling like a minimalist, then I have nice classic basics to pull that style off with. Oh Boy LOL!! Here we go!! I have a puffed sleeved corduroy jacket, and that's gonna have to do me for 2025. As far as tennis shoes go, I'm a little slow on the take with any shoes. I'm just now warming up to platform sneakers LOL! But mind you I am 57 years old sooooo.....I've lost a lot of weight and I'm feeling kinda froggie, so I might attempt to wear some of the more ''conservative'' trends, but I'm picky and I refuse to spend a load of dough on a trend. I get more excited about pairing colors that don't look tacky but are unexpected and interesting. I'm constantly scouring amazon for interesting colors and what to pair them with to get an exciting look. I hate boring. LOL!! I like stripes, but the colors they choose for in the industry are too contrasting for my season. Being a soft autumn, it would have to be within my color palette and no high contrast in colors. And I think I found a sweater that I'm going to love on Amazon. It's a coffee and olive green stripe with beige collar/sleeves/waist band. I get color block and stripes all at once and in colors that won't drown me out! I'm so excited to get it! I think it will look interesting and expensive. I did take a pair of the Walmart vintage sport tennis shoes in the color Ivory and green but since the green color was for a clear season, I had to alter it somehow, so I modpodged denim over the green stripes. I frayed the denim first. They may not be in style but I love them! I like making things my own anyway. I guess that since bling is in style I could glue a few rhinestones to them next! Saying something is out of style versus not a trend is a bit misguided. Style is a characteristic, it doesn't come and go. Trends are another thing; they come and go.

I used to live in the Miami area and people seemed more into fashion there as opposed to where I live now all across the country on the west coast. It's just more casual here.

Love classic denim trucker jackets, are you kidding me? They'll never go out of style and neither will straight or bootcut or slim straight jeans. But I think wide leg jeans are just a trend and I'm already getting a bit tired of them.
Glad to see ultra minimalist dressing fade a bit. One thing that I wish would go away is tiers on dresses. It’s not sophisticated and it looks stupid on mid to plus size women. I know I would look ridiculous in that yellow dress. Could you show some dresses that are not body-con that don’t have tiers?
Wait till you get into your 80s, see if fashion trends matter or affordable, these come and go, throw out your current wardrobe are “fads” as we called them way back when. Nice to watch, I can just picture my 5 ft frame in those boots, my kids would send me to the Alzheimer’s unit.
I'm glad I'll be saving some money in 2025 as so far I haven't been impressed by any of the trends that I've seen forecast. I'm happy I invested in great, reasonably priced clothes, accessories and footwear when they were available and to my taste - I buy it when I see it, not when I need it. I'll enjoy wearing what's already in my wardrobe in 2025 and beyond - forever I hope as they're chic modern classics. Sorry but the pieces featured in this video imo are an example of bad taste and short-lived trends (this is not a reflection on the lovely Jamie, who always looks good).
Minimalist is classic and classy, this style will never go out. The styles shown in this video are tacky and cheap looking these pieces will be out of style in no time.

Saying something is out of style versus not a trend is a bit misguided. Style is a characteristic, it doesn't come and go. Trends are another thing; they come and go.

Tube tops? I guess we are back to the 70s and 60s with these trends you are showing. Some I like but most are nope. Plus I think it depends on where you live also. I used to live in the Miami area and people seemed more into fashion there as opposed to where I live now all across the country on the west coast. It's just more casual here.

Love classic denim trucker jackets, are you kidding me? They'll never go out of style and neither will straight or bootcut or slim straight jeans. But I think wide leg jeans are just a trend and I'm already getting a bit tired of them.
Glad to see ultra minimalist dressing fade a bit. One thing that I wish would go away is tiers on dresses. It’s not sophisticated and it looks stupid on mid to plus size women. I know I would look ridiculous in that yellow dress. Could you show some dresses that are not body-con that don’t have tiers?

Wait till you get into your 80s, see if fashion trends matter or affordable, these come and go, throw out your current wardrobe are “fads” as we called them way back when. Nice to watch, I can just picture my 5 ft frame in those boots, my kids would send me to the Alzheimer’s unit.

I'm glad I'll be saving some money in 2025 as so far I haven't been impressed by any of the trends that I've seen forecast. I'm happy I invested in great, reasonably priced clothes, accessories and footwear when they were available and to my taste - I buy it when I see it, not when I need it. I'll enjoy wearing what's already in my wardrobe in 2025 and beyond - forever I hope as they're chic modern classics. Sorry but the pieces featured in this video imo are an example of bad taste and short-lived trends (this is not a reflection on the lovely Jamie, who always looks good).
Minimalist is classic and classy, this style will never go out. The styles shown in this video are tacky and cheap looking these pieces will be out of style in no time.
