As a tram driver I've been through something like an insight during my training. I guess music has something similar - when all your studying and practice accumulate and help you literally shift how your brain works on one special day. It's like learning riding a bike. Once you get there you'll feel like you always had that skill.
Goatee railroad song 🍷🗿 Edit: my favorite part Read a magazine the. Your Baltimore leave in the dinner nothing could be finer then you have your ham and eggs in Carolina
With all of today's distractions, It is rare to see a man manage to craft himself into this kind of pianist. The last one I know of was James Booker. This will become more and more rare. I have followed Adam's development ever since he released (what I believe was his first album) named after the famous "Echoes from the Snowball Club" and I deeply admire his work. Best wishes from northern Sweden // Mattias H. Sandin (I wrote the main theme to Bowler Hat Rag, a piece me and M. Keenlyside wrote forever ago)
Look again, it's a standard piano stool - he's just spun it up high. That's the adjustment screw you're looking at - the red thing above is the seat cushion.
That sign on the piano, I wonder if it says “DON’T PLAY UNLESS YOU KNOW HOW” lol
Or "Please don't shoot the piano player!"
I love seeing that sign with a second line added below - "no, Flohwalzer doesn't count".
My favorite part of this is all the smiles on the faces of the people behind him. How wonderful it must be to bring such joy into people's lives.
I should NOT have watched this while finishing the Alfred's Adult Beginner book. Holy shit.
I'm working on this piece in the alfred books right now! I can't even begin to imagine playing this piece 😁
lol same😭
I teach piano and I show them this version to show them what they have to look forward to 😂
That look on their faces at 0:15 when they thought you were a lunatic, had me laughing for hours.
Awesome playing
"Play maple leaf rag!"... so mainstream
After years of playing piano you realize that you're not in any way close to him.
This is wonderfull
He's so young, and yet one of the best players I've seen
I've played for a lifetime and I can't touch him!

0:46 A person whistling at the part where the lyrics say "When you hear the whistle blowing 8 to the bar", that's ingenious.

In the final second, someone yells "PLAY THE MAPLE LEAF RAG!", as if they'd missed this amazing performance.

Ok, we have to discuss this: where is he sitting on??
Look again, it's a standard piano stool - he's just spun it up high. That's the adjustment screw you're looking at - the red thing above is the seat cushion.
I wonder what's the tempo would be like!
do you have notes?
I could do that; I just don’t want to. 🤫
Right!!
I want to but I cant. :-(
Haha class
(1) great big piano with brilliant sound - upright grand? (2) who's sitting on the piano?
