    I've been there, it's so powerful. Thousands who gave their lives in service of their country. The changing of the guard and the Tomb of the Unknowns is awe inspiring. Every American should visit ANC at least once.

    For a history of Arlington Cemetery, please research General Robert E Lee the famous, most beloved Confederate General. His Plantation of 1200 acres and home were seized by the the Federal Government. Today it is the most Hallowed Ground in the United States of America, and General Robert E Lee would have felt more humbled than anyone that his Memory Lives on in Perpetuity. When trying to choose between the North and the South, he said that he had to stand with Virginia.

      Ironically, General Montgomery Meigs, a Southerner from Georgia who had remained loyal to the Union, and as Quartermaster General of the Union Army, seized the Lee Family homestead and designated it as a cemetery for honored Union war dead. I can agree that Lee himself would probably have felt to be honored by that choice.

    Correction there is not a vet from Viet Nam interred currently. Reagan was so adamant that there be a military funeral for an unknown from that war he ignored pleas from a family of the vet being considered for DNA identification. Years later, under further pressure from them, the Department of Defense relented, had the body uninterred and conducted DNA analysis which bore out their claim. The body was released to them. There is not a Viet Nam War vet at the shrine of the unknowns.

    "...one of their *most busiest'* times."??!! Being a reporter, she should already KNOW proper grammar!

    • @senniewhite6301
      @senniewhite6301 6 лет назад

      She's not the only one.. Hannity doesn't have very good English, especially when he calls out the first name of a person and then says he afterwards. This is a grevious mis-use of the English language, IMHO.

    • @janishart5128
      @janishart5128 6 лет назад

      *Sennie White:* I'm not quite following you.... Can I have an example? Do you mean he would say something like "George he..."?

    • @senniewhite6301
      @senniewhite6301 6 лет назад

      +Janis Hart Yes, really,, and he uses it after the last name. Example: opening of dialogue: "George Washington he cut down the cherry tree. Jefferson Davis he was President of the Confederacy. Mike Pence he got disrespected today by N. Korea.

    • @janishart5128
      @janishart5128 6 лет назад

      *Sennie White:* Oh, I see what you mean now. Yeah, it's a way of speaking I guess, but to me, it's not as bothersome as "most busiest" - that REALLY stands out! I'll have to listen more closely to a Sean Hannity video and see if I notice the flaw you pointed out.

    I always tell people I think they should paint the African headstones at Arlington black. They should paint the Mexican headstones brown. They could paint the German, Irish and Italian headstones pink. Are there any Jews in Arlington?
