I OWN THE FIRST 262RB SOLD IN MISSOURI. STAY AWAY FROM IT….AND ALLIANCE IN GENERAL. THIS WALK THROUGH, LIKE THE OTHERS, DOES NOT SHOW YOU HOW BAD IT IS. THAT LIGHT BAR: FELL OFF AT MILE 68 ON ITS FIRST TRIP. SHOWER DOOR FLOODED THE BATHROOM. VERY POOR CONSTRUCTION. ALLIANCE DOESN’T EVEN CONNECT THE TV COAX CABLES: THE OWNER MUST CLIMB INTO THE BELLY TO FIND THE UNCONNECTED COAXES. ALL THREE TANK DUMP HANDLES ARE UNDER THE SLIDE!!! STEPS HARD TO ADJUST AND INTERFERES WITH DOOR OPENING/CLOSING. THE LIST GOES ON…..!

Yes! My brother in arms. I, too, have seen Alliance's thin veneer, which obscures and misdirects consumers away from shabby construction practices, and second rate materials. The only features which are remotely any good have been lifted directly from Keystone's and Jayco's methods and practices. Potential customers should absolutely get an independent inspector to evaluate any intended acquisition; especially a brand new model on the dealership lot. PDI is non-existent. Caveat emptor.

I dont know anything about this brand at all but looking at 2 things immediately turned me away.
    1. The leveling jacks are secured with 4 self tapping screws? Is that normal? Bolts and lock washers would have cost about $2 more total, maybe $3.
    2. The welding visible in the pass through storage with the sub frame. Near garbage. Not only are they not great welds, but they didnt even bother to clean them up at all. Attention to detail with that is cheap and easy. Pride plays alot in this aspect.
I do like this design and floor plan but these few things were alarms to me. I come from the structural design and engineering side of mfg and this doesnt seem like quality even for a somewhat entry level trailer. I was SO stoked until i saw these things. Great review though. This is why these reviews are wonderful and necessary.
Great video dude!! Love these walk throughs!!! Keep up the good work man! :)

I don't understand why mfg's don't put struts on the horizontal doors. Something, if I were to purchase I would have to do. Nothing more irritating then trying to see and reach back into the cabinets with the doors falling down on you...

  • @ablewood8269
    @ablewood8269 8 месяцев назад

All the connections in the storage compartment are ridiculously located. Good luck not damaging them while things slide around in transit.
The table looks like it could slide and hit the storage door in transit.
The phone app for awning control is far more convenient than having to unlock and open a door every time you want to open the awning. Hopefully, there's a switch in the rig.
The placement of the water heater and utilities on the camp side wall under the awning are major bullshit!
Wrapped countertops are a scam.. You'll know what I mean when the wrap starts coming apart under normal wear & tear.
    The TV IS too high.
Having to hold the upper cabinet doors open is major bullshit. Especially in a day and age where it's so common to put support stuts.
The short drawer under the stove was horribly thought out. Fire that guy.
The dinette was another bad move. Fire that guy, too.
The tiny kitchen and bath ceiling fans suck. Spend a dollar more and put a fantastic fan where it counts!
I'm wondering how long it will take for the sliding storage drawer under the bed to fall apart while slamming back and forth in transit.
I'm not a huge fan of these new glass entry doors.
This trailer will only turn heads for newbies who will regret buying it and end up buying a more practical rig later.

I hate dinettes. A also don't care for a TV or recliners. I would rather have a computer desk with a keyboard drawer and computer chair where the recliners are and continue the table through where the dinette is and just use that for eating or better yet eat outside. Make the TV area more of a pantry. You could also use the table kind of like an island to give you more room for food prep if needed. This would make the floorspace more open too. Then have two chairs that you can push under the table out of the way. I would also have the bed to one side to make it easier to get out of it at least one one side. I would skip the latter and put way more solar on it and a StarLink. I'm not sure I like the location of the outside grill because I would want to put the table so people could sit on either side and not block the door, but you would be sitting right next to the hot grill. I think it would be better turned around and moved to the end by the door or by the back of the RV. Or better yet just get rid of it since there is such a large and nice kitchen.
Also I would want to be able to close off the gray water from the black water and have an extra hose outlet because if you are wilderness camping many states allow you to dump gray water. You would want to pump it 50-100 feet from the RV. I water inlet hose and pump and a sediment filter before going into a two stage water filter and UV treatment would be nice so if you park by a stream or lake you can draw and filter the water from there. With the extra solar and a larger battery bank I would also want all the interior appliances to be electric, including heat and the refrigerator. A washing machine with a good spin cycle is also a must. Also a way to screen in the awning area would be really nice when the mosquitos get bad.
See the whole idea is to make it so you could camp anywhere for as long as possible. Propane runs out, but enough solar and batteries should be fine for indefinitely. Having the possibility of unlimited water and gray water dumping is nice. Bring a composting toilet if needed. You could have some E-bikes and charge them off the solar. Even a EV truck like a CyberTruck or Rivian could be slow charged. The only thing you would need to worry about is food and with some hunting, fishing, and trapping gear you can heavily supplement that too. You could head out camping for an entire summer.

I don’t understand this fact. I’ve been watching many RV reviews and builds. Everyone seems to have something essential missing, no matter the brand. It’s like, no manufacturer can get it right. Good reviews, but this Rv has flaws just like the rest. I think consumer have to buy the design that’s closest to what you want, then spend additional money, modifying the unit.

I really like what I see on this trailer! I have a 2018 Lance 2295 with the outdoor kitchen, but don't use the kitchen as much as I thought I would. Here are a few things that I would like to see (or make them available as options). There should be a continuation of the backsplash on the SIDE of the stove. I would want Fantastic Fans (or equivalent) that blow both IN and OUT in the bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom. Also, could there be a water pump on-off switch in the bathroom? I, too, would like to see a door on the storage cubicles behind the shower in the wall. Kitchen cabinet doors need struts or hinges that allow the doors to remain open without having to hold them open. I would definitely want to have Sunbrella fabric on the patio awning, the slide-out awning, and on an optional window awning on the slide-out. One other little item that I would do when I purchase this trailer; on my trailer I purchased an after-market 60" LED light strip that runs along the bottom of the rear of the trailer. It provides additional lighting for brakes, turn signals, and back-up lights. The tail lights just aren't large enough for my preference and this light strip really adds a factor of safety for rear end lighting.
    Thak you for excellent review!!

Does Alliance actually create any of their own floorplans? Or do they simply "acquire" them from other manufacturers? For example, this is the exact same floorplan as the Grand Design 2600RB which has been in existence since 2015.
