You should be so proud of yourself, Marybelle. This video was so well done in terms of storytelling, production, and so much more. Every moment was so relatable because, everything is overwhelming and a bit painful as someone who loves routine. And, let’s be honest, every single thing was out of routine because you’re literally changing so many aspects of your life! I’m sure you felt accomplished at the end! But that doesn’t mean all of those raw moments weren’t difficult/uncomfortable! This was brilliantly done and I think we can all feel your emotions through the video. Bravo, and I can’t wait for your next video! I’m in awe of you!
Thank you SO much Vanessa! You know me girl! I love me my routine lol so this move is gonna take me a while to recover from LOL. I love how absolutely supportive you are with the things I put out on the internet. I really just want to say thank you a million times because you are such an amazing cheerleader ❤️
the fact this doesn't have more views and likes is insane. this video is so well put together, and although this is my first time watching your content, I am so proud of you! this is a huge step and a huge challenge for anybody. I'm happy for you, and I hope you enjoy your new life in Sweden!
This was so relatable to me. All the motions when I moved from Canada to Scotland for a few years. You took the leap (which takes a lot of bravery for a move that big) and it's on to the next new and great adventure! Congratulations!!! All the best in SWEDEN!!!
Aww! Thank you so much, Christina!!!! 💞 I'm also curious if you guys were able to make it back to Canada together! That will be the next mission for us O__o
@@marybellesagard Funnily enough, my husband's Canadian PR got confirmed just a few weeks ago. He'll be moving here at the end of February. The pandemic delayed us by quite a bit but it's finally happening! Wishing you both the very best!!! ♥️
Thank you for sharing this, I know it was hard to move across the country. I can't imagine leaving my home that I grew up in and family because I'm a homebody plus close to them. Don't apologize for the meltdowns, it shows you're human and your emotions are completely valid. I probably would shutdown or go off the deep end.
Hi darling, people usually don't understand this, i have never travel, but my mom always said how hard it feel to have all your family in another country. If you leave in your own house but at least you can't visit your family, but when you move out to another country that is not possible. My mom cry about it, she talk with her mom and sisters by celling them. Some people would think "you can visit them one time a year" but is not that easy, my aunts have more than 5 years without visit us. for me it feels weird to say "my aunts" cuz I almost don't know them at all. I wish you, all the happiness now with Sebastian. You are so lovely.
Hi Rowan! Thank you for sharing ❤️. 100% it's really hard not being around my sister right now and not being able to visit family as easily as I could before is an adjustment. Luckily video calls exist but it's still not really the same. It gets easier as I'm getting used to it but some days it is a little harder than others. The positive thing from it is that it makes me appreciate them more now. Thank you so much, you're also so lovely 😊
Welcome to Europe Regardless of age moving is never easy even more so the first time, trust me. It's normal to feel stressed when doing it all alone but you did well. Take care
I have major phone call anxiety as well… 😂 I am so glad all of the stress is over for you. ❤️ I HATE moving with a passion and moving into another country would just make my anxiety even worse… 😬
I used to think that my calling anxiety would go away when I got older but it’s still around. I think these days I just push myself to do it but I literally have to write down everything I want to say lol. So glad it’s all over 😅❤️ Hope you’re doing well, Vanessa!
I'm considering moving internationally, too. Were there any things you owned that you found out that you wouldn't be allowed to take with you? Other than your computer or phone or tablet, did you bring electronics that need to be plugged in to walls(like any appliances or kitchen stuff)? And how did that work out? And what were some unexpected things about moving?
That's great! I actually didn't bring too many electronics with me. I tried to pack as "light" as I possibly could. So other than the super important electronics like my laptop, phone and camera I left everything else back in canada. I knew I'd be able to purchase those other less necessary things in Sweden if I really needed them. All the kitchen stuff I have right now I bought when I arrived :). It just made it easier for me to make room in my suitcase. PLUS, because the plugs are different here I wouldn't need to buy a bunch of extra adapters for appliances I brought from Canada with me. You can also buy things for cheap or look on Facebook marketplace when you arrive. Honestly, the most unexpected thing about moving was how much I was going to spend on those appliances and other furniture when I arrived. Even though I had set aside money from my savings, I wasn't anticipating spending so much and it kind of stressed me out initially. So I definitely suggest putting aside some money and budgeting the best you can! Other than that though things have been going great and I'm really glad I made this decision. I hope it goes well for you too! 😊
With everything that’s happening right now, does anyone have advice for moving to another country? I hope 🤞🏻 that I’m making the best decision. I don’t know 🤷🏻♀️ anything about Europe.
BIG STEPS!! afuu-- i was feeling the stress second hand just watching this... i wuddn't ready...! and i know the anxiety was taking hold and causing doubt, but there's nothing to be ashamed of about not knowing how to navigate international travel and living abroad and visas and all that shit... it's super complicated! and there's no age at which all those international laws and red tape becomes 'natural,' no age at which it becomes easy... like wtf i never even heard of medical travel insurance till now... but of course it exists... because it's insurance 😅 but you should be so proud of yourself accomplishing all this Belle, you are a champion! and ahh, im just so excited and happy for you and Sebastian, Belle :') p.s your vlog production skills continue to be pro level! it feels like im watching a Netflix doc or something p.s.s. so who's colder... Canada or Sweden? :)
Ahh. Chris! ❤️ You are the absolute best! Thank you for saying all that. Perhaps I was feeling really defeated about my lack of knowledge with travel and this type of move because I see so many younger people just doing it like it's nothing but for me I felt extremely overwhelmed with the whole process. I'm honestly so glad it's over with lol. The worst part is over lol. For travel medical insurance, the only reason why I needed it was because I needed to show Swedish immigration before my visa would actually be approved. So that's probably another reason why I was so stressed about it. Thankfully it all worked out. 😅 PS. Oh! And thanks Chris! That's such a huge compliment! t's easier for me to edit when I've got lots of footage to work with lol. I guess it helps that I went to film school so I know a bit of the basics but most of the time I just slap things together and hope it's not too boring or confusing lol. P.S.S. The area I'm living in Sweden is actually only a tiny smidge colder than Vancouver. Surprisingly! But we'll see what happens in winter lol.
