- Flashback is the Vekoma boomerang at Six Flags Great Escape in Queensbury, New York. This is one of the newer and smoother ones out there, which makes it easier to enjoy the strong forces this ride exerts.

I heard SFMM's Flashback was awful.
When I saw this had the OG OTSRs when I was there in 2023, I didn't even consider riding it as it's too risky with a Boomerang, and I have had a black and blue ear and concussion from a headbang before (premier rides pre lap bar retrofit, I really hurt myself and even Great Adventure staff were shocked when they saw the side of my face). However, I always take the risk if I see them with the new vest restraint trains as they are usually OK. If it happens to be a smooth one, they are actually fun! Vekoma always made intense rides, they were just crap quality. Until now. They are among THE very best in the industry now. Go figure.
This is one of the better ones with the standard trains. It tracks well.
This POV is all over the place. Needs to be horizontally straightened and centered and aimed more downwards. I am not saying this to criticise or offend but simply to help give tips for next time. You've been doing some really good ones lately though, so on a whole they are getting better!
Edit, going backwards is hilarious! At the end of the vertical loop, it looks as if the train just came off the track and floated up! Seriously! This is a classic! Was worth it for that lol.
This one was tricky. I like to stabilize the camera on something (usually the front of the train), but I couldn't do that with the train design. So my arm was bouncing from the force.
Does Great Escape allow for video recording? I wish I knew where I was there a month ago lol
I reached out to their marketing team and got permission. Safety had to view my harness and I had to be escorted to rides by an employee.

Sfne is my home park and I hope they install a launched coaster
I hope they install a launched coaster as well, it would round out the park nicely. Flashback is fine to stay, glad Goliath is gone.
NE is in dire need of a new coaster. They haven’t gotten one in 7 years. A launch coaster is definitely needed cuz that’s their biggest gap in their lineup
I'd love a new coaster, but I feel like a water park addition is more needed.
