The engine is holding up great. It has a forged rotating assembly so I will handle some nitrous. I’m currently running a 200 shot but only in the 1/8th mile.
I am running the Edelbrock ProFlo4 with 42lb./hr.675 hp injectors on my 396 and considering a dry nitrous setup with the direct port injection, can you say what brand Nitrous you are using?
I was running a really old NOS Super Powershot but I just upgraded to a Nitrous Outlet Weekend Warrior plate and solenoids. Haven’t gotten to test it yet with all the snow here.
@@propower418 thank you. I have a blueprint 396 and I've been debating on dropping it in one of my S10's or my 3rd gen formula. I think I'll go ahead and put it in my 3rd gen. The headers for it are just 1 5/8" primaries too. I have a BMR trans crossmember for a glide or th350 and it has a Dana 44 rear. I'm going to try to get it finished up on my channel for a drag cruise in October.
Awesome! Blueprint said they dyno these engines with a 1 5/8” primaries so I wouldn’t worry about it. I will have to subscribe and check it out when your finished.

That’s the size carb Blueprint runs on that engine.

@@foureyedgbodymonte7770 yeah, I’ve used for a few short shots. All on a no prep surface. The 200 shot hits super hard and I’m really liking it.

Did you open your piston ring gap for the nitrous?
I have not and plan on bumping the jets up to 200 shot.
what transmission and what level is in this car?
Th350 and I couldn’t tell you what all has been done to it? It’s held up now for 2 seasons and I’m spraying a 200 shot now.

Yes, the stock one that came with the engine.
how much did the truck weigh?
Without me, 1/2 tank of gas and no nitrous bottle it comes in at #2785
