Proper shout out you gave to your crew! No man left behind!
Love the pre-pro breakdown! Always better to fix it in pre. Stoked to see the rest of the series.
Thanks guys!
This type of content is gold. I'd love to also see an analysis on how you charge for such a project. I.e. how much does pre-production cost (mood boards, storyboards, meetings etc) How do you charge the gear, do you only charge the rental fee or a bit more? Thanks.

Loving this stuff from you man! Looking forward to more.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us, content like this is priceless! Can't wait for next episode. I wish there is more content like this out there not just gear reviews of new cameras... which are also important, but we are overwhelm with them.
Appreciate that!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Thanks for this man! This really fills the gap in RUclips for filmmakers to go from indie to pro filmmaking.
This is freaking awesome. Such good content bro! Also, here for ya bro. Keep running that GAS through us.
Haha the struggle is real
great video, love the shout outs for the crew
Love it Kev! Great video. Thanks for sharing your pre pro process. This is really valuable stuff!
Appreciate you GC!
So proud of you son, very interesting even for me!
Great video Kevin, thanks for the insight!
Thank you Kevin, i need this
Loved your pre-pro checklist, look forward to future instalments. Subbed!
Appreciate that Oli!
Yew! Good stuff!
I came across your BTS video on Facebook, love this concept! Looking forward to watching everything and learning from you!
Glad to hear that! Thanks Keith 🙏🏽
Good work, keep on going...
Bro!! You are up next.
This channel is criminally underrated.
Great content! Seriously though I need to get on that support group. I often look at my daughter and say:
“Sorry, you would be going to college but daddy kinda needed that (insert gear here)!”
This is good. Looking forward to part 2.
Thank you! Here’s part 2 - ruclips.net/video/JxNMfyTd8Qg/видео.html
The GAS comment made me subscribe instantly. Same brother. Same. 😅
thanks for this mate 😊🖤 keep safe
Wow this is great dude ..! I'm glad I found this channel ..
Welcome aboard!
Thank you for doing a video on production. Im a producer and struggle to find RUclips videos on this, rather than the shooting side of things. Was interesting to watch.
On that note, if anyone knows of any RUclips channels that are focused on pre-production, please do let me know 🙏🏼 thanks a lot ☺️
Hi Emma, I'm a long time commercial producer and I was actually thinking of doing some lessons on the production process. I would love to hear what kinds of questions you have so I make something useful. :)
Thank you sir!
so good!
I love you Josh 😘
Thank you for sharing!!!
Just curious, what was your budget for this project?
How do you make your storyboards?
what do you use for storyboarding?
Keep up man!! You will grow big, i feel it 🙏 oh and btw, one a week is too slow - i need to see it all till 01.january 😂🙈
I appreciate that!!
Hey Keven. This maybe a stupid question but what program do you use to set up that treatment with the pictures and text and so on? Cuz it looks great!
It’s just pages on my Mac
ayoo can't wait for the 5 parts, you killin' it, Kevin!
edit: how important is story board for this type of project? do you feel the client felt safer / more engaged in the process by having a story board? just wondering cuz it's not something i'm used to do! cheers
Haha thanks! The storyboard is a helpful step in the pre production which everyone expects to see. It’s streamlines your shot list and gives you a road map on shoot day
Great video, thanks!
What software are you using to make the storyboards?
Program called Set A Light - which I shouldn’t have used for storyboards. But more about that in part 5
These boards were awesome. Was it painstaking to make these in Set A Light? Also on your next one of these be good to go into casting as part of pre pro. Ace video
Yes and yes, Set A Light was a pain for storyboards. I originally thought I'd try to impress the client but it ended up working against me as it was way too specific which didn't leave room for imagination and creativity. Also when revisions to the storyboard came around, I had to recreate each scene again. Great for practicing light though. Apparently they are adding in a lot more video focused elements.
Great, how much did you charge for this
Hi there! where can I find the final cut of the commercial? thank you :)
Will post ASAP
I have a LTM 1200 hmi I shoot with Red komodo and I was thinking of picking up another Ltm 1200 hmi or just buying two aputure 600d which are much more portable . I do music music and commercials for small businesses .without knowing the job im doing I know this is a hard question to ask but which do you think I would get more use out of ...Having (Two )Hmi 1200 Ltm or (Two ) aputure 600d ?
I’d go for 2 600ds. More useful. Or you can look at the 1200d.
@@KevinReyesDP thanks . I think I'm going to go the (two) aputure 600d route. Also what does a ltm hmi 1200 do that a 600d cant be modified to do ?
What did you make the storyboards on?
Program call Set A Light, which I shouldn’t have used for storyboards. More on that in part 5
How is a video treatment pulled off? Just take the camera out and get some grabs showing the general vibe?
I used stock photos for this treatment to encompass the concept I was after
Thanks now i can make a diagnosis myself: I have GAS too 🙈😂
Get well soon my friend!

what did you use for creating storyboards?
I used a program call “Set a Light” which was made primarily for studio photographers. I’d actually advise against using it for storyboards, really a pain in the butt and not it’s intended purpose.
