That opening line from Joker. Perfectly encapsulates why he is one of my favorite characters in the franchise. Dude is one of the few that always has Shepard's back no matter what despite the fact that if you take him away from the pilots seat he knows and accepts that he's a liability to the Normandy crew. But in that seat he is the greatest asset they have and seat or not he'll give everything he's got for the rest of the crew. Fuck I love this trilogy.
Shepard dies trying to put Joker in an escape pod. It's only then that this connection is forged between them. That's Mass Effect! We all have our favorites. That's exactly what makes the game so great.
Only the real fans are still there, those who have the trilogy engraved in their hearts. I would pay a lot to erase my memory and play these games again😪
I know the trilogy has some genuine criticisms, but damn I only ever had one: the story is so memorable and great that I can't get it out of my head to start it again with a blank slate. I love my time with the games, but I'd give away those memories in a heartbeat to be able to just sit down for a week all alone and play them with fresh eyes.

We did all those great things, saved the galaxy from the greatest threat it has ever known and yet it didn't feel like the great victory it was.
It felt more like a solemn goodbye. And Andromeda was like watching someone piss on mass effects grave.
