  • The ICC is the world's first permanent international crime court, built on the legacies of the Nuremberg and Tokyo Tribunals and on the International Criminal Tribunals for the former Yugoslavia and Rwanda.
In the 2017 Costello Lecture, Professor Tim McCormack examines the controversies in which the ICC is currently enmeshed, the perceived threats to state sovereignty and whether the pursuit of global justice is an impossible mandate to fill.
Professor Tim McCormack is International Humanitarian Law to the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court in The Hague. Tim is also a Director of World Vision Australia and chairs the People, Remuneration and Culture Committee.
