My bandmate at the time thought Oasis weren't a good choice for the unplugged format because their songs were basically already acoustic songs played electrical. He felt that the dynamic of the music didn't change enough to justify doing it "unplugged". He felt the format should be used for artists whose music would be difficult to translate to an acoustic format.

Oasis and Nirvana unplugged were the best performances as far as I'm concerned :)
