A lovely village near #Colchester on the hunt for lost relics/artefacts from years gone by swinging the Garrett AT Max in Zero Discrimination mode tweaking the iron up a notch or two as the day goes on. Hey Ben mate. 👋🏻😃 Great to see you out again. An interesting haul with plenty to investigate when you get home. I didn’t realise that the Apex coils were compatible with the Max. I never thought about it. So glad it was an improvement on Detectival. I won’t mention the football. 😬 Whoop whoop. TC, GL&HH. 🇬🇧 Deano. 😃👍🏻
I'm amazed at how good the Apex is on the beach im finding coins from the 70's and its amazing to think of how many detectors have already been over that sand yet missed them, The apex could find a staple 3 feet down its that good. I'm currently running the raider coil.

Looks like a great new coil for the AT. Nice mix of history coming up. Love a thimble and no idea what that was at the end with the mystery item. I at first thought it was a knuckle bone gaming piece but probably not
i gave up after a few hours and didnt even go back on the Sunday! The VIPER is better than the big nel ive never put the nel back on

Be nice to see yourself or Dawn do a depth test between the NEL and Viper 😃 I know the Viper's good for trashy areas to separate targets but how much depth is lost I wonder? If the fields are relatively trash-free I guess the NEL is the better option. There are times I reckon a Viper would be handy at my permission I have to say but only in certain areas. I'd be afraid of losing the depth though in the areas that are cleaner.

This is from my local club dig Dawn. Loving the Viper on the Max, it's the first time I've used it as I love using the small 5"x8" on my maxi. Since I put it on I've never looked back - until now that is lol VIPER COIL IS A WINNER IN MY BOOK

Wow, I love the axe Ben. Looks like a Viking raiders axe to me, (it has shrunk a bit from being in the wet soil). Have you taken it to the museum to have it checked out? :-)
