I think this is the most underrated band ever. They have such an appealing sound and should be in the same rank as a band like Tool in terms of popularity. I love them.
you read my mind ;) . Tool are rougher, porcupine tree are softer. And the length of the cicles (tipically progressive) is somewhere in the middle too.
This band is the only one of its kind I know I have spent year trying to find something like it and I have failed. Listen to "just like a time piece", it is the closest thing I have found to a perfect song there is no criticism. I hear it and I cannot turn it off ever. I could be locked in a room until I die, listening to this song. I want to die listening to this song when it all goes black and all I have is that song. Also hear the song, one bullet..............
Well if you want a song like "just like a time piece", you'll need to search through Jethro Tull's stuff. The flute, sound and even the voice are incredibly similar!

@abowlofsoda listen to it again for some more times....you're gonna like it, i'm sure dude, you don't know what i thought when i heard (just for example) Nevermore for the first time, i thought Warrell Dane's voice and vocallines are awful....but i tried it again and again and now i love Nevermore and his voice :-) that's what Progressive Metal is all about, it requires a few more times to listen than other Genres, because theres so much to discover :-)
They're both progressive metal bands, so it's normal to sound a little bit like tool. But actually there are big differences between these two. Dead Soul Tribe have their own style and is not as rough as tool in some parts.
ye prog metal is amazing.but dont make your self i m prog metals fan or death metals fan :)just listen to everything from rock n roll and above..then u get amazing expirience over music.and every succesful note hits right to your heart.keep it up cheers :)

These guys have some epic songs, others...well, not so much. But I have to give it to them, they've got a good beat, good vocals, so yeah. They rock!
