1:29 should be 288p not 240p THis video took me a while. I would be happy to read some feedback. :) For NTSC PS2 optimal settings/timings click here: ruclips.net/video/UvkjQIqpZFc/видео.html
Hmm with and without these Settings my TV and PC Monitor are getting a very issued Picture from the OSSC, this with the Fat and Slim PS2. I am using it with a RBG Cable from Retrogaming Cables. Its like the image is instable and a bit shacking, on the PC-Monitor even as i am geting a bad analogue Signal with flashing Waves. It was so bad, my Monitor had weird Marks for an Hour i did get rid of by Playing a bit with the Mister. Any Idea how to get a normal Picutre? Every other System, from Super Nintendo, Mega Drive to Dreamcast throws out a very nice Picture from the OSSC.
Googled stuff > Saw this tutorial > tried the tutorial > failed miserably and got black screen > tried it again and failed miserably > got bored/frustrated and then frustrated/bored and used 4x bob with my game. Great tutorial would try again in the next 20 years.
I have a weird problem. The settings from Wobbling Pixels work perfect for NTSC games, while they do not work at all for PAL games (tried with PAL settings of course). The TV just tells me it can't read the signal. Any idea? Thanks a lot in advance.
I was just trying to play Gran Turismo 4 in 1080i. Surprisingly enough ut worked directly from the OSSC to my TV (I usually have to route it through my Xbox One). But after a few minutes, it started losing sync (or something like thatj increasingly more and more. Tried duplicating the 512x576 settings here to no avail. Anyone got any tips?
I've double and triple checked to make sure I'm using the exact settings shown, and the image is still jittering. Been trying it with Drakengard and Fatal Frame/Project Zero.
If you do not want to have flickering, let the image pass through so that the TV/monitor can deinterlace it, which will do it infinitely better than the ossc. I have a Samsung 4k LU28R monitor and by letting the image pass through, the quality is higher and there is no flickering at all. This will depend on the quality of the monitor's deinterlacer, but no matter how bad it is, it will always be better than the OSSC. Maybe my comment is not understood or has errors since I am using a translator
I can't stand 25fps. Most games run on even lower fps around 20 is worse than a movie at 24fps. I have to dowload the NTSC version and put on my HDD to at least 30 with drops to 25 most games
A lot of PS2 games in which motion is important run at 50/ 60fps, even the PAL versions, since they often included PAL60 modes selectable. Much better state of affairs than the PS3 (players) suffered from!
Hi I can't get the picture through on my ossc kaico, ive a pal ps2 running a component cable into a scart end then into the back of the ossc, i can hear the ps2 but i cannot get a picture! Any idea why?
@@wobblingpixels3921 Hi there, yes, in fact i guess it goes further back than that, in the fact that, I can't even get a default picture to show on my tv via the ossc in the first instance! I'm about to go through a number of possible fixes and will also watch through and attempt this videos content. Thanks

Really appreciate your hard work and tinkering!
Primal is a hidden gem, and one of the best looking PS2 games
Just the video I needed. Thanks man
What LCD monitor would be best to use for a PS2 with the Kaico OSSC? I have a 60hz Viewsonic but not sure if that is the best option?
If i play both ps1 and ps2 games on my ps2 are those configurations good for both kind of games?
Thank you so much for this very helpful video. Appreciate your time and effort. 👍
Thanks to you I finally have optimal settings for Crash Twinsanity PAL on PS2 which is 512x512 (I did my own changes to make it work perfectly)
bro has come far
@@Slysonic indeed
do you think these setting are optimal even for 576i pal gamecubes?
I have tried your timing but its no signal. I am usually no ossc+55 inch 4k tv

Any chance you can work some magic on Silent Hill 2 ? Been trying to get 480p working through softmod without luck.
Default has a slight edge unless you want a more pixelated look of course.
2:03 Where can I get the link of this program with which you can change the image quality?

Which Capture Card use you?

The monitor’s deinterlacing may look better, but it’s gonna be slower than the bob deinterlacing on the OSSC

No signal with this settings unfortunately

yes because of bob deinterlacing. you can't change it except to buy a new scaler like retrotink5x or gbs-c
@@wobblingpixels3921 Sorry, do you mean those games themselves use bob deinterlacing and thus aren't compatible with an OSSC?
@@NightmareModeGo ossc uses bob-deint.
@Wobbling Pixels Wonder my ps2 bounces so much. Other systems are fine, but ps2 even during game play is bad. lol

Unfortunately when I change any setting in - even one tick - my monitor says there is "no signal" anymore. In any of the resolutions.
Did you set allow 2x upsamling to "on"? Set all settings and than check fi you get a signal. Try also 2xLine instead 4xLine.
How to see which game need which Profile?
