Testing my PS2 with the Retrotink 5X Pro

  • For this setup I have PS2 hooked up to the Retrotink 5X Pro using HD Retrovision YPbPr Component Cables. The Retrotink is set to 2560x1440 60 Hz(Advanced Resolution=Yes must be selected under OSD settings for this to work). Motion Adaptive Deinterlacing is selected. The gameplay shown here is Tony Hawk's Underground, which runs at 480i, but as always can be deinterlaced by the upscaler or TV. I will record 480p games such God of War later on.

    Love my retrotink 5x ,it's such a good piece of kit

      Same. Biggest thing it has way higher compatibility than the OSSC. Anything I plug into the Retrotink just works.

      @@Jayrod64 I actually sold my OSSC because I found it too finicky and a bit complex for me.The 5x is much more user friendly

    Funny, everytime I test out my retrotink I'm usually playing a tony hawk game too

      🤣 Same, although I've also played all the way through Metroid Prime Trilogy with it. I was using a Wii and HD Retrovision Component Cables.
